Takeshi nodded as everyone assembled. "Alright, we're heading deeper into the dig site. Those of you who are non-military would do well to stay a bit behind Ice and me." He motioned for one of the marines that wasn't on Ice's team to form up behind the group to protect the flank. "Let's move out." He pulled out his assault rifle and it expanded into a rather heavy looking weapon. With the way Takeshi moved it, however, it was clear that the weapon was far lighter than it appeared.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Leading the way into the first area of the dig site, Takeshi pushed some crates out of the way so that the carts could get through easily. He moved forward cautiously, then stopped at a support pillar. Using it as cover, he held his rifle out so it pointed farther down the hall. The image from the rifle's camera was sent directly into his HUD. "All clear, move up."

Feeling rather not like walking, The Janitor sat on his cart, while he controlled it with the joystick that was so conveniently on a remote.

Ted kept mostly to the back, taking up the surroundings, now and then making some notes. The ruins were not yet visible - he wondered how far they were. He decided to have a chat with the other archaeologist. "So, cool project, isn't it?"

Garet looked at Ted beside him, not knowing how to tell him this. He had little knowledge of this project, but he knew he would find out all he needed to know once he was in the ruins. However, from what he had learned, it did see rather amazing. But he had learned long ago that however amazing something may seem, it always had a hidden danger.
"Actually it is pretty cool, but I will reserve my right to say exactly if its good or bad until I find out what it is hiding...."

Takeshi waited for one of the marines to move up, then proceeded farther in. Using this 'leap frog' method, he and the marines stayed ahead of the rest of the group. They reached the end of the first area, but instead of finding a nice working door they found a sealed bulkhead. "Great, just what we need." Takeshi tried his security override codes to no avail. He turned on his comm, directing it to the entire team. "Well, it looks like we have some tampering. That may mean hostiles, but we can always hope for something else. Janitor, you wanna get up here and open this door? It should lead to the primary artifact restoration room. It was sealed and my codes have been locked out. Could be survivors."

Illimana was a little behind of the entire team though as they'd walked for sometime they had reached the end of the area, *Seems dusty...* He thought and listening to Takeshi's orders, Janitor was to step forward, meanwhile Illimana looked around a little more, he watched the area to his left, there was a wierd hole, "What the hell is this?" he said quietly to himself and leaned down whit his handgun in hand and a flashlight in his mouth, he switched it on and spaced down the hole, *Something's reflecting the light... Could it be... ?!* Illimana reached into the hole with his hand and grabbed some form of a crystal...* He took it and watched it for a short amount of time, "I found something..." he told calmly and not loud as he arised and gave it to one of the other researchers, "Seems as if it doesn't really belong here..." He said as he was given the crystal back and he tightened his fist to it, "Takeshi... I found a unfamiliar object to me..." Illimana spoke as he took his hand-com-scanner and letted it scan the material and what it mainly was made off...
*Wierd... Unknown data about it all...* Illimana letted the Scanner save the information into a seperate saved file. "Wanna have a look Captain?" he spoke as he stepped forward calmly.

((Let me know if you had something planned for the locked chamber, I will delete my post. Otherwise this seems the only way I can introduce my char... to be IN the chamber. I will try to keep the description of the room as little as possible))
Acde sat there on the projection above the floor with his head in his hands. Since he knew he wouldn't be starving to death anytime in the near future, he had a lot of time to think. He looked at the roof and then at the floor of the room he seemed to be trapped in now. He could try to do something to get out but that might leave him vulnerable if somebody actually opened the door after his efforts failed.
He tried to think again how he ended up on this moon, he somehow knew he was on a moon in some system. It was very strange to him but it didnt surprise him much. His mind would never be alright.
It still hurt, the fused armor. It was what drove him crazy. They didnt believe him, they didnt listen... he begged and pleaded... then he killed them all.

Takeshi looked over as Illimana approached. "Hmmm? What is it? A crystal? Best keep it with you for now. There's no telling where that thing came from though, so be careful." He turned back to the door. "Who knows, maybe somebody's home?" He reached out and knocked on the door using a tapping code. He tapped 'is anyone in there' then stood back, gun trained on the door.

Acde heard a knocking of some sort coming from the door. His mind registered a hope that he might get out of his hole and at the same time, it identified the message that was intended by the knocking. He jumped off the projection and was there at the door instantly. He put up his hand to knock an "SOS" but stopped. He stood staring at the door as he thought. He didn't know who was out there. It wasnt really wise at this time to transmit a message with too much information. So he knocked back, "Identify yourself". He was glad his mind still worked when it came to matters like this. He would have been dead long ago, otherwise...

Takeshi chuckled a bit at the response he got from the door. "Well, that was unexpected" he muttered more to himself than to anyone in particular. He tapped on the door again. 'Oracle's Guard starship captain. Investigating disturbance. Identify yourself.' He stood back again. "We might be in luck if that's one of ours on the other side" he said to the group. He kept his gun trained on the door still, but it was clear that he didn't expect to be using it.

An OG captain! He was in luck. He didn't know whether the captain had access to information about him. "OG Prototype unit, alone, room secure..." There was a pause. He started knocking louder now "Open the door please!"
If he was correct, this was a recon team sent to investigate the disturbance. But with a starship captain? So, somebody had made it out.
(( Sorry for the short post, not exactly a lot to work with till you get in and decide on the contents of the chamber...))

Illimana nodded at his Captains orders and took his bag forth and sealed it in with'in the bad.
He was curious listening to the tapping conversation though he too had his arms ready at hand just incase...
*What is going on there, or what that is, happened?*

((It's the artifact restoration room, so it should be fairly self explanatory))
Takeshi knocked back again. 'The door is locked from inside. Can you open it?' Takeshi looked back at the group. "Be ready everyone. We don't know if this one's on our side yet. Let's hope it is." He stood away from the door again.

Inside?, he thought. That doesn't make sense. That would either mean that somebody had locked themselves inside with him or... he stopped thinking about how he got locked in here and rather thought of what to reply. If he told them that he was locked in here intentionally, at least thats what he thought, they might come in guns blazing. That would certainly be bad for him and for them as well.
He looked closely at the key-pad on the door. Good thing he hadn't tampered with it yet. 'I need the code, do you have it?', he knocked back. Who knows, they might be a little more friendly than his previous team, he thought as he waited for a reply.

Takeshi stared at the door, almost as if lost in thought. His HUD was running information across his vision. "The code eh? I wonder which file will have it..." he muttered to himself. He lowered his weapon and approached the door again. "Let's hope these codes aren't locked out..." He knocked the numerical code from the file, hoping it would work. 'My override codes don't work, but this one is from a research file. Try it.'
