Darcie sighed as she gave a demon his drink.
He smirked at her and growled lightly as she walked away.
*bet he'd like to drain me...* she rolled her eyes.
All of the people... no, demons... there were few people left around these areas. Most humans had moved to the north, or as far north as they could get.
Up north there was light, there was warmth. The rest of the world was covered in darkness, cause that's how the demons liked it.
She wanted to be in the north as well, where it would be warm and safe. But she was stuck in the dark. It was too dangerous to get to the light. You had to go through thousand of demon towns, and then to really get to the light, not just a village on the outside, close by, you had to climb unbeliebably high mountains...
Darcie wouldn't be able to survive that... so she stayed in her crap job, where there was a new threat in the bar each night, and she didn't even get payed well for it.
She was heading back to the bar when cold hands grabbed her around the waist. Darcie stumbled a bit, but caught herself before she fell.
"hey a**hole, let go of me!" she turned and glared at whatever was holding her.
It was a very pale man, and he smiled at her, exposing long fangs.
*vampire...* she gulped.
"I think you're supposed to be taking my order." he smirked at her.
"fine... what do you want?" she looked at him warily.
"you." he smirked and then slammed her down onto the table.
She struggled as he held her down as the owner of the bar came out yelling.
"Hey! No harming the employees!" he yelled and was going to go over there and stop the vampire, but was halted by two other demons.
"ok... whatever..." he hesitantly stepped back.
"you stupid demon." she cursed her boss and quickly reached down to her boot, grabbing her knife and bringing it up quickly to stab the vampire in the heart, but he moved and she only breached his shoulder.
"ooh, feisty. I like my food with some spice." he bent her neck a bit to expose it more as he leaned down.
"let go of me!" she yelled, kicking and struggling. But she didn't for long as another demon held her down to stop her struggles.
