A young boy slumped as he sluggishly walked off the bus. He wasn't sure what time it was, but he knew that he was tired as hell.
He and a busload of kids had been stuck on that bus for hours, and it seemed like not to long ago that he had just passed out from boredom and was now awake again.
"Come on now Drakey, wake up." he mother ruffled his hair and kissed his cheek.
"Mom, stop." Drake wiped his cheek and jumped away from her, now awake.
He shook his head and looked back at the bus as one of his friends hopped off the bus and apparently he saw the little scuffle Drake had with his mother... and was laughing at him.... again... Sighing, he just decided to head inside.
The bus had stopped infront of a large hotel, the bus driver and teacher must have been too tired to continue so they must have looked for the first place to stay.
"Well it ain't the Hilton..." he stood infront of the little canopy that covered the walkway.
*The Last Resort Hotel... kinda a weird name for a hotel...* he just shrugged it off and walked in, Mr. Barton, their teacher, already checking them in.
Drake gave out a low whistle, yeah, this place wasn't the Hilton, but it wasn't bad. Clean bright red rugs, and the all the rooms that he could see were enormous, the parlor off to the left, main check in area he was in, and what looked like a game room off to the right. He could like this place.
Looking ahead of him, Drake saw a grand staircase, that went up straight for a few feet, then curled around completely so that the stairs ended just above where they began. And right next to the bottom of the stairs were the elevators, one on each side of the stairs.
"hmm... it's not so bad...."
