Chroì pushed the white streak of his hair out of his eyes as he stared up at the blood moon. He frowned deeply at that. A blood moon was always a sign of ill omen. He prayed to the gods that for once, it wouldnt be a sign of bad workings.
His dark red eyes surveyed the wide plains that laid before him as the fire threw light on his lean figure. He wrapped his tattered cloak over his hunched figure tighter. He muttered a few words under his breath and the fire glowed purple for a few instances before returning to its normal orange, yellow, red glow.
He looked up and around him immediatly when he heard the distant pounding of hooves on the hard, dusty ground. He picked up his red blade scythe and stood his ground. No place to hide for one. And another, he never was one to hide.

Not the least bit -------- Chroì looked in surprise at the wild horses that ran over the plain and by his side. He hadn't heard of ghost horses running the plains. Atleast....it had been some time since he had heard, much less seen anything of that sort. He looked up at the waning moon as the light began to creep over the velvet blue sky. He packed up his small camp after stomping out the small fire which he had made. Hoisting his bag over his good shoulder and began his trek into the town. -------- (After some time) Chroì had kept his tattered cloak wrapped around his bad shoulder, lest it were to attract un-wanted attention. But his apperance as it was , even without the shoulder, enough to turn quite a few people's heads. He saw an abandoned house standing a wee bit away from the other houses. And unlike the wooden houses, this was made of stone. He pushed the heavy oaken doors in and coughed at the amount of dust that was floating around. He wheeled around, his scythe in hand, when a low growl came from behind him, "What are you doing here?" He lowered his scythe slightly when he saw that it was a woman. "I seek a place to dwell for a few days...."

"I seek a place to dwell for a few days...."
*Lorelei's gray eyes were narrowed as she observed the intruder... He was dangerous, she could sense that without seeing him. But he was also quite unusual. She kept her sword ready, just in case the worst should happen... She couldn't tell if he knew what she was yet... Her voice was low but held a sharp edge to it.* "Who are you?"

Shandi walked to a stone building, it was abandoned, and it seemd like a nice spot, but then she heard something. There were voices from inside the building. *ooh* she thought, *this might be fun, I've been quite bored lately, maybe I can mess with their heads.* then she kinda felt something, *what the heck is in there? something strong...* Shandi continued to listen in on their boring little conversation, trying to get some more information.

Chroì's stood in front of the faint light, in the hopes that they wouldn't see his eyes. It was a tell-tale sign of his 'abnormality' as the humans tended to put it.
"Who are you?" He smirked, pulling his tattered cloak away from his hidden arm. He replied with a note of pride in his noice, "I am Chroì. Who fought and defeated the demon, Vocah. " He wasn't one to boast often....but he did pride himself on that fact more than the fact that now he was quite a powerful mage.
He raised an eyebrow when she merely shrugged, "That name supposed to mean something to me?" He sighed. Figures. People over the sea never did hear about the demons OVER the sea. "Never mind. And who are you?"

"I am Chroì. Who fought and defeated the demon, Vocah. "
*Lorelei frowned slightly, simply shrugging.* "That name supposed to mean something to me?"
"Never mind. And who are you?"
*She growled slightly, keeping her sword steady, prepared to fend off any attack that might come.* "Lorelei... The demon that will never fall so easily at the hands of a skinny human..."

Shandi listened more intently, *Interesting,* she thought, *a demon and the mage Chroi, this shoud be very interesting indeed...*

Chorì bristled when she said,"Lorelei... The demon that will never fall so easily at the hands of a skinny human..."
"I never said that I was going to take you down! I merely need a place to stay for the coming nights." He hesitated before continuing, "I am willing to pay....within limits."
He took a step forward as she raised her sword in front of her and said in the softest of tones, bearly comprehensible, "You have another visitor. Standing just beside the door."

"You have another visitor. Standing just beside the door."
*Lorelei stood still for a moment, considering her options. Anyone who boasted of killing one of her kind was not to be trusted. However, she could sense that this wasn't a lie... She wasn't sure which threat was the greatest... The human inside or the unknown lurking outside? Slowly and reluctantly, she lowered her sword, turning away from the human. She grabbed hold of the doorknob, abruptly flinging the heavy door wide open. She stepped out a little to see what was there, holding her sword ready. However, she simply sighed when she saw that it was a rather young looking girl.* "What now? What are you doing here?"

Shandi smiled broadly, showing her fanged teeth slightly, "I heard voices from inside this building, and decided to listen for a bit, I knew you were both powerful, but Never excpectd it to be a demoness and that mage Chroi. I admit, for once I was surprised, and slightly hoping that there would be some sort of sparring, but it appears that it won't be happening." she giggled a bit, and hugged her stuffed bat closer to her.

*Lorelei sighed, glancing over her shoulder at Chroi.* "For now... no." *She looked back to the little girl, taking notice of the fangs and the stuffed bat. Definitely not the average little girl... Just another kind of demon... With a soft growl, Lorelei sheathed her sword.* "And what do you want now? Do you need a place to stay too?"

Shandi nodded, "That was my original intention, but then I decided to do a little eavesdropping, I hope you don't mind too much," *oh so now you're being nice to somebody,* her voice (Kat) said, *be quiet* she replied, and smiling lightly leaned around Lorelei and waved at Chroi.

"That was my original intention, but then I decided to do a little eavesdropping, I hope you don't mind too much."
*With another sigh, Lorelei stepped away from the door.* "Fine. Get in here and close the door behind you. I don't want anymore visitors."

Shandi happily obliged, and closing the door behind her, she walked inside, a little warmth rushing to greet her. She walked over to a corner and sat down, holding her bat tightly.
