"Sullivan has the quaffle! There she goes, under Ravenclaw's chasers, now flying toward the goal, dodging the bludger hit her way-- look out for the other one! Oh no! She's dropped it! Now it's Boone with the quaffle, dodging a charge from the chasers-- What's this!? Excellent tackle by Sullivan! She's got it back! Just a bit further!"
*The Gryffindor side of the stadium burst into cheers as Jayme hurled the quaffle through the left goal.*
"There it is folks! Gryffindor leads 50 to 30! And look there! Looks like the seekers have caught sight of the snitch! There they go! It's close!"
*The crowd erupted again as the Gryffindor seeker caught the snitch right out of the air, just before the Ravenclaw seeker. Jayme let out a yell of victory, a huge grin on her face as she began speeding in circles around the stadium.*
"Gryffindor wins the first match of the season!"
*As the team landed on the ground of the pitch and began congratulating each other and shaking hands with the other team, Jayme Sullivan had only one thing on her mind... It was time to party.* "Party in the Gryffindor common room tonight, mates!" *The team laughed and gave a few yells, everyone excited that they had started the season off so well. It looked as though all of that practice had paid off.*

The adreniline surged through her body as she and her new broomstick dove down after the snitch, the goldn ball wizzing about beneath the stands. The snitch flew straight for once, pulling up and whizzing in the air at the last minute. Just in time to land in the little hands of the newest member of the Gryffindor team.
As she landed she could hardly beleive what she had done, and she just looked on in utter amazement as her and the rest of the team shook hands with the Ravenclaw team. Her, a first year, using an illegal broom, actually won the game. As her eye's met the older Ravenclaw seeker she blushed. "G-g-g-good game..." She said in her deeply slavic voice. The other seeker replied in the same fashion as booth teams left the grounds and went to their locker rooms.
The whole way, Abril was stuck in utter amazement at what she had done, straggling behind the other's as she watched the stands clear out, the Gryffindor students cheering loudly.

*As the team left the quidditch pitch with shouts and yells of victory all around them, Jayme noticed one person was lagging behind. With a smile and the shake of her head, Jayme quickly grabbed the attention of the others around her.* "And let's not forget our newest champion! Can't win the game without an excellent seeker now can we?!" *To this there was an immediate crescendo in the level of cheering as the attention was turned to the small girl, who was immediately greeted with applause and pats on the back. Jayme caught her eye and gave her a wink.*

Abril looked sort of embarassed by the sudden outburst of attention given to her, but enjoyed the fact that she had helped win the game. She smiled at Jayme, and blushed a bit, her broom held by her side. It was some newer model, supposedly one of the faster ones out there, and although she was a bit rusty, she flew it well. "Thanks..." She said through the butterflies in her stomach, ignoring the adreniline that even now surged through her little system.

*Jayme laughed softly at the younger girl.* "Like I'd let you get away without any attention! Now hurry it up! We've got a party to get started here!" *She gave Abril a grin.* "Got to love quidditch season..."

Abril hurried along with everyone else, changing into her normal robes in the locker room. She wrapped her broom up in an old dusty, tattered cloak before walking off with Jayme. "Ok...so what kind of party is it?" She asked quizzicly after she was out of her quidditch uniform. Her normal robes were quite different from everyone else, they were made in Romania and the Gryffindor patch was just sewn onto them. They had strange ruffles on the collar and sleeves, and were held together with a small belt-like peice of fabric at her waist.

*Jayme laughed softly at the younger girl's question.* "Who cares? A party's a party. The guys usually go sneak up some food from the kitchen... Sometimes Matthew plays the Weird Sisters for us... Whatever we wind up doing, you can be certain that it will be extremely loud in the common room tonight. Don't plan on getting much sleep."

Abril smiled up at Sulivan, "Ok!" She said eagerly, walking alongside her companion. She held tightly to the broom wrapped in the cloak, not wanting to drop it. ((OOC: can't think today...))

*Amongst a crowd of Gryffindors, Jayme led the younger girl into the castle and up to the portrait of the fat lady. At the front of the pack, one of the older students gave the password and they all filed into the large common room. Jayme grinned as she saw some of the boys run off down the hall, likely getting food from the house elves in the kitchen. She motioned for Abril to enter through the portrait hole first before climbing in behind her.*

"I can't believe we won... In Romania my team always lost... This is like the first win I've ever had!"
*The excited Abril finally admitted, her bright face alight with her beaming smile. She hurriedly put her broom on a poofy armchair nearby, turning around to face everyone else. She stood there, her hands interlocked in front of her, the sleeves falling down to cover them.*
"I used to play with my friends... I'm glad you even allowed me to play... It was very exciting..."
*The label of her broom was showing as the cloth came off a bit when she laid it down. It was a brand new Firebolt, one of the fastest brooms ever made. It was meticulously shined as well, the fire-gold print shining brightly off of it.*

*Jayme grinned at the younger girl, trying to speak over the din of the now crowded common room.* "I'm glad you enjoyed it. You can expect plenty more games like that one this year! That Quidditch Cup is going to be ours for sure!" *The people closest to them that had heard Jayme immediately gave a cheer in response.*

*Abril's smile seemed to widen at this, and she quickly took a shocked look upon her face, as if remembering something immediately.*
"Oh! How could I have forgotten...I'll be right back..."
*She said, shuffling off to the girl's dormitory, opening the door and closing it quickly behind her.*

*Jayme raised an eyebrow at the girl's sudden disappearance, but she finally just shrugged and started talking to someone else in the crowd around her.*

Abril hurriedly rumaged through her chest, searching for the large box of sweets her parents sent her from Romania. She pushed aside her things, her crystal ball her books the cage containing her pet Ferret and finnaly found the rather large box.
She struggled a bit, but managed to pick it up and drag it downstairs. "Sorry!" She shouts to Jayme, plaiyng it on the armchair after pushing her broom over. "Had to get this..."

*Jayme tilted her head curiously, staring at the large box.* "What's that?"
