((This rpg takes place almost 4,000 years before the rise of the Empire. If anyone needs information on this time period so they can join in, just send me a message or an e-mail. I'm planning to have plenty of action and light vs. dark in this thread.))
*Karine silently entered the cockpit of the Ebon Hawk. A smile graced her lips as she gazed upon her husband who was currently seated in the pilot's chair. She quietly made her way up behind him, trying not to alert him to her presence. Just as she was about to reach around the chair to grab him, his voice broke the silence.*
" Don't even think about it."
*Karine's hands immediately fell to her sides.* "How do you do that?!"
"I thought that you Jedi knew everything."
*Karine smirked slightly, moving around the chair to his side.* "Nah... We just pretend to so we can impress guys like you."
*She heard him chuckle slightly as he looked up at her.* "Well, it worked."
*Taking that as her cue, Karine took a seat in his lap, leaning against Carth comfortably.* "Are we almost there?"
*He nodded silently, gently running a hand through his wife's raven hair.*
"Good... I can't wait to see the kids."
*Carth couldn't help but smile. They'd had Taris and Telos for a little over a year and Karine still couldn't stand to be away from them for even a few days.* "Who are they staying with today?"
"Bastila wanted to spend another day with them but the Council summoned her to a meeting. So they're home with Zaalbar, T3, and Mission for now. But Juhani was supposed to drop by for a visit today."
*Carth looked down at his wife, a bit alarmed as he remembered who else had been visiting...* "Griff's not there still, is he?"
*Karine laughed, sitting up to face him.* "I'm not stupid, Carth. I wouldn't let the children stay in the same house with Griff for more than five minutes. No. Griff left yesterday. He's working for the Czerka creeps again. Mission's pretty angry about it too..."
*Carth shook his head but didn't get the chance to reply. They were nearing Coruscant. Realizing that Carth needed to concentrate on piloting again, Karine got up.* "I'll go get our things together."
*It wasn't long before the Ebon Hawk was docked on Coruscant. As Carth and Karine exited the ship, Karine spotted Mission waiting for them. Karine waved at the grinning Twi'lek. When they reached her, she immediately greeted Carth in her usual playful way.* "Hey there, old geezer."
*Carth chuckled slightly.* "Nice to see you too, kid."
*Karine grinned at their antics. They had been doing this since they first met on Taris...* "What about me? No warm greetings for the jedi? Or is the old war hero more important?"
*Carth draped an arm around Karine, kissing her softly on the cheek.* "Never."
*Mission rolled her eyes, knowing that Carth was just being all affectionate just to get at her.* "How many times do I have to say it? Get a room."
*Carth laughed at her.* "But we haven't even gotten to the 'I love you' yet!"
"Yeah... 'Yet' being the key word. Come on. I want to get back to Big Z. We were in the middle of watching the duelists. Not to mention I don't want to leave him alone with those little monsters for long. They might rip out his fur or something."
*Karine simply laughed as the three of them made their way back to their home.
When Carth walked through the door, he was immediately greeted by the sight of his two children, Taris and Telos, playing with Zaalbar, the Wookie that had sworn a life-debt to Karine. Zaalbar turned his attention to the door, greeting both Karine and Carth. Karine laughed softly at the sight of their children and immediately went to them, lifting both of them into her arms and hugging them tightly. The children clung to her, Taris rambling on in her limited speech while Telos simply listened. Carth chuckled slightly, making his way over to his family. He gently tousled Telos' hair while kissing Taris on the head. He turned his head at hearing the "beep-beep boop" behind him. Karine grinned at their droid T3.*
"Good to see you too T3."
*Another droid entered the room, immediately walking to Karine.*
"It is good to see you home, master. I was close to terminating your meatbag offspring. Perhaps you should teach them not to pull on my parts so much, master."
*Karine laughed, shaking her head.* "HK, you harm my offspring and you'll wind up in a junkyard. Understood? Besides, I find their actions quite amusing."
"Somehow I thought you would, master."
*Carth chuckled softly before turning back to Mission.* "Has Dustil returned yet?"
"No, not yet. The Council said that he should be trained more before he comes home. After all, with all that Sith business, he's still a little dangerous."
" Dangerous?! He learned his lesson about the Sith! The Council had better stop--" *He stopped as Karine let the children down and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. He sighed softly.* "Sorry. So anything else going on that we should know about?"
"Uh... Yeah. Admiral Dodonna wanted to see you when you returned."
"Best not keep her waiting then." *He turned to Karine, giving her a quick kiss.* "I'll be back soon."
*Karine sighed and nodded, watching as he left. She looked to Taris and Telos.* "All right. It's time for my two little monsters to take a nap." *Telos yawned but Taris immediately started babbling on about "no nap" and "not seepy". Karine simply took them each by the hand, helping them walk to the nursery. Taris had already gotten the hang of walking but Telos was still having some difficulty with it. Eventually, they made it to the room, Karine lifting each of them into their beds and kissing them on the forehead. She turned to T3 who had followed them in.* "Keep an eye on them for me, T3." *After getting the usual beeping reply from the droid, she left the room, turning off the lights and closing the door.*
