((This takes place quite some time after the destruction of the Empire.))
*The Corellian landscape rushed past her in a swirl of colors. The wind whipped through her long raven hair and she basked in it blissfully. The thrill and freedom that came with racing across the land on a swoop bike was the most enjoyable experience she had ever known. Atalanta Li'ek had been racing swoops since she was ten years old. Everyone thought that she would become a professional and win the Blockade Runners Derby. However, Atalanta had chosen a different path. Her life was now dedicated to the ways of the Jedi Order. Her lust for danger and speed were now threats... threats of turning to the dark side. So she slowed down after long, just minutes before she arrived at the small town of Elera. Atalanta left her bike in front of Makar's Emporium and went inside, smoothing out her hair in an attempt to look somewhat decent.*
"Hello there, Miss Li'ek! Good to see you again! What can I do for you today?"
*Atalanta smiled at Makar Dakthu as she strode up to his counter.* "Just the usual supplies, Makar. You wouldn't happen to have that training remote that I ordered from Industrial Automaton yet?"
*The old Ithorian laughed as he began to gather supplies for her.* "Not yet, Atalanta. I thought you Jedi were supposed to be patient."
*This time it was Atalanta's turn to laugh.* "I'm just a Padawan, Makar. I'm still allowed to act human every now and then."
"Yes, I suppose you're right. Well here you are."
*Atalanta gave him the proper amount of credits before taking the large box of supplies from the counter.*
"Be careful on that bike of yours. Mahtocca might not tolerate another accident."
*Atalanta gave a somewhat sheepish smile, remembering the last time she ruined their supplies in a swoop accident. She gave Makar one last nod before leaving the store. However, someone else was on their way in at the same time. The two collided. Atalanta dropped her box, barely managing to keep from falling. She cursed under her breath before looking to see who she had run into...*

Janice hit the ground with a thud.
'What the-'
Supplies clatterd to the ground all around her. She gathered herself and after confirming that a Supply ship hadnt exploded above her attempted to stand.
A slender hand was extended towards her. She grasped it and pulled herself up to face a young womanwearing an apologetic smile....

*Atalanta extended a hand toward the person that she had slammed into, a rather sheepish smile gracing her lips. The woman seemed to be a bit older than she was, with brown hair and gray eyes not unlike Atalanta's.* "Sorry 'bout that... I wasn't watching where I was going. You all right?"

Janice grabbed hold of the young womans' hand and pulled herself up. She looked into her face and was surprised to find herself standing in the presence of a fellow Jedi.
'No harm done. And as the Force would have it, accidents do tend to happen,' she replied, shrugging off the residual dust from her flight suit. 'I am Janice Skysorter. Pardon my asking but are you of the Jedi Order?'
Janice realized that it was probably a rhetorical question seeing the way the younger woman carried herself.
Years of being on the run do tend to force a person into the habit of making sure, she thought sardonically.
But as her new aqauntainces' face broke into a friendly smile, Janice breathed an inward sigh of relief.

"I am Janice Skysorter. Pardon my asking but are you of the Jedi Order?"
*Atalanta gave her a friendly smile. It was about time that she met another force user besides Mahtocca, Fiona, and Magnum.* "I'm only a padawan still... But I'm guessing that you've already earned the rank of Knight. The name's Atalanta Li'ek. There are three others of the Jedi Order living near here but I haven't met many Jedi besides them. Are you just visiting Corellia?"

Three others of the Jedi.....others of the Jedi....the thought echoed in Janice's mind, reverberating off of memmories, friends long forgotten, enemities long buried. And that name, Li'ek.....familliar somehow. She dragged her thoughts away and concentrated n answering the most immediate question.
"Visiting? Oh...yes. I am. Actually I was hoping to find some of the Jedi that you speak of. There is one among them who I seek," she said distantly.

*Atalanta bent down and began to pick up her supplies.* "Well then... You ran into the right person." *Atalanta was a little hesitant about leading a total stranger to the people that she considered her family... However, she couldn't sense any ill intent... Still... She would have to be alert.* "I'll take you to them if you wish... Who is it that you seek?"

Janice bent down and began helping young Atlanta gather her scattered supplies. She weighed her options.
I cant trust her any more than she can trust me, she thought to herself. Perhaps later.....
*'Who is that you seek?'*
Janice bit her lip. 'Forgive my rudeness, but I would rather not say until I have met him for myself.'
Seeing Atlanta frown she added huriedly, 'I'll understand if you do not wish to show me these Jedi. But please, as one Jedi to another, trust me...'

"Forgive my rudeness, but I would rather not say until I have met him for myself."
*Atalanta frowned. This wasn't going well... She was worried about leading anyone to her jedi companions... Especially someone as powerful as another jedi...*
"I'll understand if you do not wish to show me these Jedi. But please, as one Jedi to another, trust me..."
*Atalanta sighed. If this woman wanted to find the Jedi bad enough, she'd find them with or without Atalanta's help.* "All right then... Do you have a vehicle close by? All I have is my swoop bike and I already have to balance this box on it. There'll be no room for another passenger."

((We really need to find more ppl for this thread))
*"All right then... Do you have a vehicle close by?*
Janice's face broke into the first true smile she had worn in days. She extended a hand to help Atlanta load the box on to her bike.
"As a matter of fact I do. I'll need to head off and get it though I parked it near the Cantina back there. Be right back!" she rattled off in her eagerness at finally having found a haven. Racing back to her bike she caught the incredulous look on Atlanta's face.

"As a matter of fact I do. I'll need to head off and get it though I parked it near the Cantina back there. Be right back!"
*Atalanta watched as the woman ran off to fetch her own bike. When the two of them were ready, Atalanta straddled her own swoop bike. As she started it up, she began to concentrate, reaching out into the Force to hold the box of supplies steady. She motioned for the other Jedi to follow her and then sped off. She was careful not to go too fast, not wanting to lose her supplies or the Jedi that followed her. It wasn't long before the pair came in view of the rather quaint home of Atalanta and Mahtocca. As they pulled up in front of the house, it was easy to see Magnum and Fiona's home nearby. Atalanta hopped off of her bike, picking up the box. She glanced at Janice before speaking.* "You'd better wait here a moment. Mahtocca doesn't like being taken by surprise." *With that, she opened the front door, walking inside. She set the box down on the table before yelling for Mahtocca. It didn't take long for the Wookie to emerge from her room.*
<"Back so soon? Normally you run off to get into some sort of trouble.">
"I ran into someone I did not expect, master. A Jedi Knight by the name of Janice Skysorter came home with me. She is waiting outside." *Mahtocca frowned but nodded.*
<"What does she want?">
"She claims that she is searching for a Jedi, master. I mentioned you, Magnum, and Fiona. I could sense no ill intent so I brought her here."
<"Very well. Let us see about this visitor.">
*Atalanta followed the white female Wookie outside where Janice still waited.* "Janice, allow me to introduce my master, Mahtocca. Master, this is Janice Skysorter."

((Since I have no clue where Elmara is, I'm going post again just to give other people a chance to join in if they want to.))
*After introducing Mahtocca to Janice, Atalanta bowed to them both before excusing herself. After all, she still had chores to do and wanted to get them over with as soon as possible. She went into the house and put away the supplies she had just brought home. After that, she exited through the back door. She took out the five buckets that were stored near the door and set them in a row. After filling each bucket with its own kind of feed, Atalanta snuck around the side of the house. She poked her head around the corner to see Mahtocca still occupied with Janice in the front of the house. Smirking slightly, she returned to the buckets. Quietly, she reached out with the force, lifting each bucket in turn and placing it in front of the different pens. She grinned as she finished moving the last bucket.* "So much quicker than manual labor..." *She was silent as she walked down the short path that led her to the animal pens. She stopped in front of the first pen which belonged to nine bearded jax. Although these animals were mostly to sell, Atalanta insisted on naming each one and treating them as her own. Mahtocca had finally agreed to give her one bearded jax and one gurrcat as her own. Smiling, Atalanta lifted the bucket of feed and entered the pen. She quickly shut the gate behind her as the creatures ran to her, crowding around at the promise of fresh food. Atalanta laughed softly and filled the bowls with the feed, watching as the jax gobbled it all up. As the critters finished their meal, one dark gray jax came bounding over to Atalanta again. She set down her empty bucket before kneeling down to pet the jax.* "Oh so now you want to talk, Gyros? Only after you've had your fill, huh?" *She laughed softly, scratching him under the chin.* "Good to see you too, boy... but those gurrcats over there might get a little upset if they don't eat soon." *She smiled and stood up, exiting the pen and leaving the empty bucket at the entrance. She continued with this routine, feeding the remaining four species: the gurrcats, the kimas, the squalls, and the vir vurs. She began collecting the empty feed buckets, wondering if anyone was ever going to be interested in buying their pets again. It had been too long since they had a customer.*

(( Meesa back! Sorry K but my net is limited to the weekends now )) Janice took a steadying breath and looked up into the wise face of the Wookie Master. She bowed respectfully. <You wear the scars of recent hardships do you not, young one?> 'It has been a hard road, Master,' she replied, pulling on a loose strand of hair. <Indeed. Why did you return?> 'Exile is not enough to rein in the call of the homeworld in the heart of the wanderer, my master' The Wookie nodded. <It is good that you have returned> Janice smiled. The she looked towards Atlanta and asked amother qustion "How has it that you have taken on a new aprentice?" It was the Wookies turn to smile. ((Over to u K))
