*Laera sighed softly, nodding as she ran a hand through her hair.* "She probably shouldn't move it then... Maybe you could use a splint to keep the bones from moving too much... I don't know... I'm obviously not qualified to be a doctor..." *She paused a moment, noticing that he had yet to make a comment about her being blind. She shook her head lightly, ignoring it.* "Is that her only injury...?"

Lilah shook her head slowly. "No, there's nothing else wrong." Gareth said. Lilah sat there holding her arm in silence, and Gareth lightly ruffled her hair.

*Laera sighed, carefully getting to her feet.* "What are you going to do...?"

"I don't know..." he scratched the back of his head.

"Well I suggest that you figure it out... Unless you just want to sit here all day..."

"I know what I have to do... I have to get the horse so it's not eaten, and Lilah can have her stuff, but I also have to take care of Lilah.."

*Laera sighed, thinking for a moment about what to do... She desperately wanted to leave and continue on her way before this man could do anything to offend or harm her. Still, she wasn't without a heart... An injured little girl was deserving of some help... Reluctantly, Laera spoke up again.* "I'll take care of her..."

"wha-... no, you don't have to. This is my repsonsibility. You don't have to do anything."

"Do you have a better idea? Because I honestly don't see any other way that you'll be able to get her belongings back and take care of her properly."

"Well.... No... I don't have a better idea..." he tried to think of one.

"That's because there isn't one..." *Laera briefly wondered if he didn't trust her with the safety of his sister because of her disability. Frowning at the thought, she grew a little more determined to prove that she could handle it.* "I can take care of her..."

".. all right..." he stood up. "I'll be back as soon as I can. " he glanced at Lilah once more before he left to go find that d**ned pony.

*Laera gave a satisfied nod. She heard Gareth's footsteps as he walked away, leaving her with the silent child. She looked in the girl's direction, swinging her bag off of her shoulders as she knelt down once more and rummaged through her belongings. Her fingers soon came into contact with the cloth that she was searching for, the one that she usually used to wrap food in. Since it was currently empty and recently washed, Laera decided it would be good enough for a sling since she didn't know of anything else to do for the child's arm.* "You're going to have to help me a little with this... We need to tie this behind your neck and rest your arm in it so you won't move it."

Gareth was out searching for the horse, muttering curses. Lilah sat there staring at the woman wearily. She didn't want to move her arm at all, and she didn't know how she could help her.

*Laera sighed when she didn't get a response. She unfolded the cloth, reluctant to say what she needed to.* "Lilah... That's your name isn't it? Well, Lilah... I'm blind... I can't see what I'm doing so I'm going to need you to be my eyes, all right?" *She grabbed the fabric by both ends, holding it stretched out in the air.* "Place your arm on this... And be careful not to move it too much..."
