((Welcome back, Mir! ) *Rhian nodded with a smile.* "I'll keep that in mind but at the moment you should just relax and try to feel at home. If you need anything at all, just ask for Rhian." *Dropping the coins in her dress pocket, Rhian gathered up the last of the bedding and, bowing her head to Arvellas, hurried up the stairs since she was now running behind on her chores. After drawing a bath for the girl she had played with earlier, Rhian changed the sheets on little Leofric's bed, putting the soiled ones with the rest of the dirty laundry. She then hurried to the visitor's room to put another blanket on his bed. Making sure everything was in order, she then went to prepare a room for Arvellas. She chose one in the most unoccupied section of the shelter so that he could have his privacy and as much quiet as possible. She opened the window to get some fresh air in the room and set to work, putting sheets and blankets on the bed, filling the wash basin with water, and doing a little dusting as well. For someone so kind, she couldn't give him anything but the best. After setting a new candle on the nightstand, she took a look at the room. Satisfied that it was as clean and comfortable as she could make it, she turned and went downstairs, hurrying out the door so she could go to the stables and feed a guest's horse...*

((Oh come on people... Somebody join... Please? )) *Rhian went out to the stables close to the inn and, after making sure that the guest's horse had enough food in his stall, she went to Halian's stall. Smiling, she gently rubbed the mare's nose before leading her out of the stall and into the field surrounding the front and sides of the inn. There, she sat on the ground and watched the horse as she pranced and ran about, glad to be out in the open.*

'Slacking off, as usual?' Doran asked teasingly as he came to stand beside Rhian's sitting form. He looked from the girl on the ground to the horse out in the field. 'They're very intelligent animals you know, and it isn't likely they require nursemaids.' Doran grinned as he plopped on the ground next to Rhian, immediately plucking a blade of grass from the ground to fiddle with.

*Rhian smiled at the boy.* "Unlike you. Did they really let you out of the house unattended again?" *She grinned slightly, reaching over and ruffling Doran's hair playfully.*

Doran grinned and shook his head. 'They wanted to put a tether on me, but I suppose there's something to be said for being able to run fast.'

*Rhian shook her head lightly, laughing a little.* "I suppose I'll just have to look after you as well then. Let's just hope I can keep up with two animals."

'I have the utmost amount of faith in you. I promise I shall be good. You haven't much to worry about at any rate; I spent my whole morning hauling firewood, so I will not be much trouble,' Doran yawned and flopped back on the grass, staring up at the sky.

"Oh so that's how to control you? Work you to death so that you have no energy to misbehave? You should've told me sooner." *Rhian smiled at him, hugging her knees to her chest as she glanced over at the mare again.*

'Yes, that probably would have been the courteous thing to do, but you should know me better than to expect such things of me. I just hope no one finds me out here, they'll surely have something else that needs to be done.' Truthfully, though, Doran didn't mind helping out at the shelter. He didn't have much better to do, at any rate, and he'd rather be around people than be alone so it all worked out in the end.

"Of course. There's always something that needs to be done here. Still, I don't think there's any place in the world that I would rather be." *Rhian lifted a hand to gently brush a stray lock of hair behind her ear, watching Halian as the horse finally settled down a little to graze on a patch of grass.*

((I dont suppose an Elf would be dis-invited...? Sorry its the only thing I could think of... )) Feaduranor slowly led his horse forward. The beast neighed painfully. "Not far. Not far now. You see? Its right there. Right there. You'll be alright in no time. Just a little farther." He knelt down to examine his steed's injured leg again. The wound would fester very soon if it wasnt looked at properly. Healing had never been his forte. He got up and looked again towards the homestead. Just a little longer, he thought. Walking as quickly as his aching feet allowed he made for the inn. As soon as he reached the door, he dropped the horses reins and stepped inside. Delicious smells that spoke of a lovingly made meal wafted their way into his senses. He reached the bar and looked for anyone who might help.

((Of course, as soon as I finish writing a nice long post, I discover that Elmara hasn't posten since August... *mutters under breath*))
A spotted gray stallion suddenly came galloping out of the stable, startling the other horses with its speed. There was a thin girl on it riding bareback, her red hair flying wildly behind her, and her ecstatic laughter barely audible over the sound of Aldor's pounding hooves. The horse made its way toward Doran and Rhian, then stopped abruptly, one of its knees mere inches from Doran's face. The girl with red hair dismounted, and sat on the grass with a grin on her face, looking quite pleased with herself as her horse walked away.
"I'm proud of you, Doran," said Aifen, winking at him. "You barely flinched at all this time."

Vagari stumbled into the stable carrying Pete in front of him. The dog was wimpering in pain from his most recent brush with death. Wolves weren't good playmates for so small a dog.
"Hello? Can anyone here help my poor little dog?" Vagari yelled into the stable. He hoped they would help. He liked his little friend.

Aifen suddenly sat up. "Do you two hear someone by the stable?" she asked. She got up and ran over, and gasped slightly when she saw the condition of the dog. "What happened?" she asked, hastily grabbing a blanket and placing it over a pile of hay. "Lay him down there, I'll get my sister," she said, running back to the field.

Vagari laid the dog on the haystack and watched the girl run for help. Hopefully they could help, he liked having Pete around. He turned back to his dog. "Hang in there old boy. You've been worse off than this."
