Belothien laughed at the indignant look on Taurada's face, not missing the glint in his eyes. She gently nudged Searind between his ribs and said teasingly,
"Come now, dear, you shouldn't make fun of him! It's not his fault he still has to learn a lot."
She glanced at the older Elf, grinning mischievously from ear to ear. If there was one thing she'd learned from being around her human family, it was teasing each other.

"Hmph!"
*Saerind gave a hearty laugh and drew Belothien closer to him (careful not to spill either of their drinks), soon grinning quite smugly.* "I knew I loved this woman." *Taurada seemed to brighten a little at that, smiling at them.*
"For good reason too. I must say, it's still quite a shock to see you acting this way... but a woman like that could probably change any man, hm?"

Belothien grinned. "I don't know about any man, but in this case I'd say I have been pretty successful." She snuggled closer to Saerind happily, resting her head against his shoulder. Perhaps she should inform Taurada also of the fact that it had taken quite a bit of Barliman's alcohol reserves for them both to realise... she stopped her thoughts and chuckled inwardly. If the old Elf would actually faint, it would give quite a mess; all the spilled wine on this fine floor...

"I don't know about any man, but in this case I'd say I have been pretty successful."
*Saerind smiled, nodding.* "Yes, you have been. And for once I don't mind change so much." *Taurada shook his head with a smirk.*
"I believe that's quite obvious, Saerind."
*Saerind laughed a little, glancing at Belothien.* "Yes, I suppose it is."

Belothien grinned, gazing up at Saerind lovingly. "Good," she said, "because I like the change too. And I'm sure that, even though he might suffer some more heart attacks the following days, Taurada agrees with me." She glanced at the older Elf with a grin, "Don't you?"

"Ai yes... Just do me a favor. If I fall over from shock, catch me."
*Saerind raised an eyebrow.* "Now what fun would that be? We'd be too busy calling all of Lothlorien to see the stiff old hermit lying on the floor." *Taurada shot Saerind an amused glare.*
"That's one thing that they will never live to see, even if they are immortal."
"Never say never... You have two trouble makers around now. Three if you count Thurin." *He chuckled softly, glancing at Belothien. Thurin had definitely caused trouble for them in the past... That bird knew what he was doing though... He had wound up bringing them a little closer... Although sometimes he wound up getting more attention from Belothien than Saerind did.*

"Ah yes, our lovely chaperone," Belothien giggled. Suddenly she remembered Saerind telling them something about the bird messing up Taurada's hair. Now that she saw the Elf in question here before her, the mental image was even funnier and she could barely suppress her laughter. "I'm surprised he didn't faint from all the romance. Especially with Velv and Elena there as well..."

"Velv and Elena?"
*Saerind nodded with a smile.* "Yes. Belothien's brother Velvador and his love Elena." *Taurada's eyes widened once again.*
"Let me see if I understand... Not only did my Saerind go out and find a beautiful lady for himself... He also spent time around two other strangers as well?"
"I didn't have much of a choice if I wanted to get to know Belothien." *Saerind chuckled softly. Taurada simply moved to sit down in his chair.*
"I think I'd best stay seated..."
"Oh come now! Don't ruin all of our fun!"

Belothien laughed helplessly, trying not to spill any of her wine as her hands were shaking.
"I wonder," she said with a wide grin when she had recovered her breath, "if Taurada also has some things hidden down there that we can bring out for him..."

*Saerind laughed softly while Taurada gave a simple "hmph" in response.* "I don't know. He's been an old hermit for a looooooong time." *Saerind smirked lightly as Taurada lifted his head proudly.*
"And I like it that way. It keeps me safe from crazy people like you two."
*Saerind immediately put on a protective yet playful look.* "Now wait just a moment. You can't call a lady crazy."
"Hmph. Yes I can. She may be a beautiful lady but she's definitely crazy... Any woman who's with you is crazy."
*Saerind chuckled at that. He had a point.* "Ok so you're right... But I'm glad she's crazy then." *He grinned, looking to Belothien. He was quite tempted to kiss her but wanted to save the shock for when Taurada was standing...*

Belothien grinned up at Saerind happily. "Hm-mm," she agreed with a nod, "absolutely crazy. Just like this one." She reached up with her hand and playfully batted Saerind's nose. She had noticed the look in his eyes but, like him, wanted to save it for when Taurada had just convinced himself there was nothing more to be shocked with.
"But if that's the case," she continued with a grin, turning to Taurada, "then I think you must be crazy as well," she paused, playfully elbowing Saerind, "taking in this little scamp."

*Taurada smirked slightly, shaking his head.*
"I didn't have much choice in that matter. The little one clung to me for dear life when I found him. Couldn't pry him off. Believe me, I tried."
*Taurada chuckled softly while Saerind shot the older elf a playful glare.* "Well it seemed like a good idea at the time... How was I supposed to know he was stiffer than the trees I was lost in?"
"Ai... If you think I'm stiff now, Belothien, you should have seen me back when I found this boy. All on my own, strolling straight and proud through the deep dark woods like some fearless hero... and then next thing I know I have this scrawny little blonde thing attached to me."
*He paused to shake his head lightly.*
"Oh how the mighty have fallen."
*Saerind chuckled at that.* "Don't let him fool you. He was never mighty. He just liked to play pretend."

Belothien, just taking a sip of her wine, choked on it due to sudden laughter. She managed to swallow what she had in her mouth but still had to laugh. The liquid mixed with the intake of air and she coughed, hurriedly putting her glass down on the table to avoid spilling it. Burying her head into Saerind's shoulder, she coughed, her shoulders shaking as she tried not to laugh and cough at the same time, only succeeding in making herself laugh even more. ((*doesn't wholly follow it anymore herself* ))

*Laughing softly, Saerind quickly put his glass down as well, holding Belothien as she shook with laughter and coughing. Even Taurada was laughing, despite his momentary shock at the way that Saerind held the girl.*
"I wasn't aware that we were quite that amusing."

When Belothien had regained control of herself, she looked up at Taurada, meanwhile not moving from Saerind's arms, being far too comfortable there. "Well, I can inform you that you are," she said with a giggle. "Though perhaps it may just be the wine..." she glanced at her glass on the table, then grinned up at Taurada. "It's not the overly potent stuff, is it...?"
