Okay, here's what we need to know about your character going in.
Name:
Race/Species:
Gender:
Age:
Weapon(s) of choice: (Note that since part of this RP does take place in the modern world, you can have guns or other things that an American civilian would conceivably have; no high explosives, but other than that you can bring pretty much anything into the World of Myth with you if it fits your character. There's gotta be a valid reason why you're packing heat at school, though. )
Previous paranormal experience: (If your character has had something weird happen to them before, or displayed a strange talent or supernatural ability at some point in their lives, post it here. But keep in mind not to make superpowers too... superpowered, because your character will be untrained in how to use them at first and won't be very good at doing anything useful with them. Also, limit of one superpower per character please.)
Skills: (Just put any skill your character has, even if it doesn't seem useful at first. For example, if you're a cheerleader, mention it... their acrobatic/gymnastic training helps with running, jumping and climbing.)
Appearance: (What your character looks like, with as much or as little detail as you want.)
History: (Note that history is optional, since many of the characters being posted are in their late teens or early twenties and haven't had much opportunity to do anything important. If you can think of a good backstory for your character then bring it on, but you don't have to put anything here.)
Personality: (What your character is like to be around, how they think, what makes them tick... basically just describe what kind of person they are on the inside. Will probably be the longest portion of your character's profile.)
And now, to provide some examples, my characters (I'll be playing some villains as well, but I'll put their profiles in another post).
Name: Professor Geoffrey Banks
Race: Caucasian Human
Gender: Male
Age: 40
Weapons of choice: Very improvisational, using whatever heavy object is available. But if there's a sword handy, he'll rely primarily on that.
Previous paranormal experience: None, which might explain why, even though he teaches a mythology class, he's a skeptic.
Skills: Took fencing classes in grade school, and still remembers some of the moves. Also learned how to ride a horse as a child. And, of course, he's a mythology teacher and therefore knows the strengths and weaknesses of many of the creatures he'll be fighting.
Appearance: Handsome for his age, but hides it well behind unkempt hair, spectacles and massive amounts of tweed. Brown hair and eyes, very pale skin. Speaks with a British accent.
Personality: A bit socially awkward, with a tendency to be long-winded and pedantic once you do draw him out and get him talking. Not as hardcore a disciplinarian as his accent would suggest, but won't take any crap from students who want to be the class clown or are trying to coast through an "easy" class for a quick A. Can be very protective of his students, especially the ones he thinks will go far. Even though he comes off as a geek most of the time, there is some steel in him.
Name: Princess Alira Rainlily
Race: Elf
Gender: Female
Age: 600 (looks about 19 in human years)
Weapons of choice: Two long-bladed daggers that she conjures using magic, and dual wields. She will use a bow or sword situationally, however, and does know how to kill with her bare hands.
Previous paranormal experience: She's a very powerful sorceress who has seen many strange and unusual things since coming to the "Real World". Cars, for example. Those things confuse the hell out of her.
Skills: Has been trained in both magical and non-magical combat since she was in her early forties. Is also very well-versed in all things relating to horses, including but not limited to riding.
Appearance: Jawdroppingly beautiful, but doesn't appear to realize it. Perfect skin with just a slight hint of a tan, luxurious caramel-brown hair, pretty almond-shaped brown eyes and a well-sculpted, athletic body from all her combat training. Speaks with a slight, indefinable (in other words, not of this world) accent that gives her an exotic flair.
History: After the Prophecy was given that strangers from another world would come to the aid of her own, Alira volunteered to be the one to seek them out. For the past hundred years she has been traveling between universes trying to find the right world, and now that she has she has infiltrated the school that the Chosen Ones attend by impersonating a new student.
Personality: A fighter by nature due to her many centuries of military training, Alira is sometimes a bit too quick to solve problems using violence. However, she's also very much a lover... like most other Elves, Alira has a very high sex drive and is always up for it, with members of either gender. Between these traits and her general confusion about the advanced technology and bizarre cultural quirks of our world, she can come off as a bit weird. Once she finds a Chosen One, she is extremely protective of them.
I'll add my fairy to this post later, gotta go for now.
