*one big yellow school bus is sitting in the middle of a tiny parking lot on the edge of a huge lake, it's banks covered in tiny round grey stones. A few trees surround the lot, but not many, as most of them have been cleared away for park benches, sight seeing info for tourists, and parking. Twenty high schoolers are standing by the bus, ignoring the teachers who are trying [with no luck] to get anyone to pay attention. A huge old style ship decked out with sails, cannons, and all the old-style stuff is sitting at the end of a very long dock, awaiting the boarding of it's passengers. The sky is cloudy, but the weather is in the mid-high seventies, making for a nice day... *
Kaari was going through her green canvas messenger bag, checking that her notebook, pens, camera, and iPhone we all there. The school was funding a trip for twenty high-schoolers to go by ship to some creepy old castle on an island in the middle of some huge lake, and it took about four hours just to drive there from the school.
Looking around, she spotted an unoccupied tree not far from the parking lot, and headed towards it, hoping that the teachers would soon get everyone all in order and get them onto the ship. Sheesh! Why was it always so difficult to get stuff on the move when it was during a field trip? If her History teacher, Mr. Tomasetti, were here, everyone would be on that ship right now, not standing around gossiping and gawking and looking like a bunch of sheep milling around.

Late at always deacon comes flying in on his motor cycle not really caring the fact he is extremely late because he took a “fun” detour. Getting off his bike Deacon looks around and sees a bunch of noisy unmanaged high school kids and Deacon doesn’t want any part of it and notices Kaari over by a big green tree and decided to go talk to her but then he noticed the Erie decaying ship the class was supposed to go on and decided to give the ship a closer look.
As Deacon got closer to the ship he began to feel strange, his stomach started to hurt and he began to feel light headed but that really didn’t stop him. The ship looked ancient like it was raised from the bottom of the deepest parts of the lake somewhere. It had old black ragged sails, tears and holes everywhere; the rotting look of the wood made the ship appear to have been here a very long time it almost had an unreal look to it. The ship gave off an ear pulsing cry, Deacon really couldn’t figure out what it heck it was but it was driving him nuts, but before he could investigate any farther the teacher grabbed him and told him to get the hell back over with the rest of the class!
Deacon doesn’t want to go stand over by the annoying class so he walks over to Kaari who is still sitting under the tree to talk to her about this suspicious ship.

Kaari heard Deacon come into the lot on his noisy bike, and rolled her eyes. He was always doing something stupid on that bike of his. Probably took a detour and popped some wheelies, maybe scared the crap out of some teenage girls driving to the mall. This thought made her smile as she watched him check out the old ship, and she absent mindedly pulled out her notebook, doodling as she waited for the teachers to get everyone under control.
The sound of foot steps caught her attention, and she looked up to find the leather-clad Deacon walking towards her, looking put out that his ship inspection hadn't gone as planned.
"Hey Deacon, what's up? What do ya think of that thing? I think it should be sunk down to the bottom of this lake to be used as fish houses." She quickly put her book away after he walked up, realizing she had sketched the other senior as he was checking out the ship and also on his bike as he arrived. Her cheeks were a tad pink as she looked up at him from her spot, awaiting an answer.

Deacon walks up to Kaari and notices her quickly put her sketch book away and has a little smirk on his face.
Hey Kaari, it's nice to see a normal person here. Nothing much is really going on with me, I just don't want to be here, I am getting a weird feeling about this place let alone the annoying high school dorks over there screaming like a bunch of 2 year olds.. There is defiantly something strange about that ship, it gave off a very weird pulse like feeling when I went to go investigate the boat and it started in my stomach and slowly went into my head and nearly made me pass out, but none of the other kids seem to be sensing this weird energy what about yourself?
Well that's the thing Kaari, It looks like the ship came from the bottom of the lake, it's almost like it was brought here for a purpose but It's all so confusing to me I mean why are we even considering going on a boat that looks like it was used a 1000 years ago let alone it isn't even a ship that was ever used around here, what is it doing in a lake and not in an ocean? The more and more Deacon tries to figure out what is going on the more he feels like he needs to throw up so Deacon sits down next to Kaari under the tree to get some air.

Kaari laughs at the reference of two-year olds, glad that someone else besides her isn't like the milling sheep in the lot. "Yeah they are pretty idiotic..."
She shook her head when he asked if she felt funny, but then again, she hadn't gone anywhere near the creepy thing. "I found the thing really odd too, but I haven't felt anything. It does seem to be really weird that we're going out to some deserted castle in the middle of a huge lake on a crazy creepy wierd-ass looking sailing ship though..."
Kaari notices that Deacon looks a little green, and puts a hand on his shoulder, leaning around so she can see his face. "Hey, you okay? You look a little green...."

Knowing he would be late for the field trip, Leland sped to the site. he comes screaming into the parking lot, radio blaring Animal i have become (three days grace) and quickly and efficiently parks his car.
Seeing that his class mates aren't even organized yet, he sits in his car and waits till everything cools down before he gets out. HE noticeces the large ship and thinks "there is no way in hell that thing can sail."
He sees Kaari and Deacon sitting over on a bench and waves a greeting to them, he doesn't really know them well, but he has seen them around. he gets out of his car and sits on the corner of his hood and waits silently.

As soon as Kaari asked if Deacon was feeling okay, he jumped up and ran over to the other side of the tree to throw up. He was definitely not feeling good; his arms were beginning to look extremely pale, almost like a ghost.
Deacon walked back to where Kaari was, and wearily sat beside her. He motioned to the ship, telling her that’s it freaky scary, and there’s something very wrong with it. He didn’t feel awful until he went to stand by it, and he mentioned that he was the only person affected by it. He opened his mouth to say more, but at that moment a blue car came screeching into the lot, blasting music. Deacon knew who Leland was, and nodded a greeting when the kid got out of his car.
Turning back to Kaari, he was he was interrupted once again by a teacher who came over and said it was time to board the ship. Deacon shook his head, saying that there’s something seriously wrong with the ship, and that there’s no reason why anyone would board such a scary ship that is obviously not needed in a lake, but the ignorant teacher didn’t care, and just told them to hurry up and get their butts to the docks, or they’ll get left behind. As Deacon and Kaari stood waiting on the docks listening to the annoying two year old high school students, Deacon felt sick again, and leaned over the edge, throwing up once again. He looked down into the water, and noticed it was ghastly green all around the ship, and it looked like the ship was melting, like it was constantly moving, and before his eyes, a chunk of the ships apparently wooden hull peeled off and fell into the water, and instantly a new piece reformed, giving Deacon a strong sense of unease.
Deacon was having problems on the ship, and the smell of the water was making him constantly throw up, because it smelled like Death. He turned to Kaari once he could control himself, and asked her if she or any of the other students could see the water color or smell that horrid Death smell. A strong gust of wind blew a cloud of rotten air into Deacon’s face, and he almost fell to the ground.

Kaari didn't know what to say to Deacon after his spiel about the ship and how weird it was, but she did agree that there was definitely something wrong with it, even though she felt nothing. The Leland guy caught her attention, but only because he was blasting crazy music and screeched into the lot- who couldn't notice his entrance?
Following Deacon onto the ship after watching his ordeal with the teacher, she got even more worried as he continuously threw up. "Deacon, are you sure you want to go on this trip? You can stay, if you really feel this awful..." She felt awful for him, but didn't know what to do. As he asked about how she felt, ,and if she could see anything, she almost said no, but the gastly green of the water stood out to her, showing an odd eerie water change between the lake water and the water around the ship. "I don't feel anything, but I do see the water."
Kaari looked around for Leland, she was going to ask him if he saw the same thing, or if maybe it was just a weird reflection because they were so close to the shore.

Leland went and borded the ship with the rest of the class , reluctently but still he went. once aboard the ship he at once started feeling like something wasnt right, and then deacon started throwing up, this was not right.
He walks over to Deacon and Kaari and asked "hey are you alright man?" then you Kaari "isnt this ship weird, it seems to be like something straight out of an old ghost movie or something."

"Yeah, there's something not right about it. I'm not completely sure we should all be on this thing..." Kaari was looking back towards the shore, debating whether to turn back, when the walkway was detached and the sails filled, bearing them off onto the too-calm lake's surface.
The small senior couldn't understand why they were moving, as noone was about, but the ship obviously couldn't run on any power at all; it was too old for any of that. "Um... guys? I don't think this is any ordinary sailing ship... We're the only ones on it..."

Leland spun around, hoping that she was kidding, but to his dismay she wasnt, they were completly alone, no one around. the waters surface like a mirror, still as death, and even worse..the fog was rolling in. Now he was scared, and it takes alot to scare him, but he started feeling sick. he was on a old junk ship with Deacon who was at the moment sick as a dog, and kaari who was though very smart, she was small, but for some reason he knew better than to underestimate her.

(i'm sorry! This is awesome! I have to jump in! n_n)
"Aww... Sh!t!" Exclaimed Zoey, looking towards the ship who was slowly drifting off to sea.
"Deacon!!" She exclaimed, knowing in her heart something was seriously wrong with the ship. She then jumped out into the lake and swam quickly towards them, everyone in the class calling after her. This probly wasn't a very smart thing to do, but she kinda always had a thing for Deacon. She swam like a fish to the ship, once she got there they pulled her in and the fog around the ship doubled, all visability gone

Kaari looked back at shore upon hearing someone call Deacon's name, and saw a figure dive into the water. Who in their right mind would jump into... oh. It's Zoey. Kaari rolled her eyes as the girl was pulled up on the ship, soaked from head to toe, but was glad that nothing came up out of the lake to eat her. "Hey, Zoey. Glad you could make it. Although, it might've been better if you'd stayed behind, something weird's going on with this ship, and the lake. Deacon's throwing up, Leland is starting to look a little green himself. I'm really hoping this isn't some sort of mistake, going on this trip." Kaari looked over the edge again, but the fog was so think she couldn't even see the water below, and Deacon was still looking awful. "Hey, you doing any better?" Leland himself was looking better than Deacon, but, it probably wouldn't be long before he too, was losing his breakfast over the railing... leland looked surprised when Zoey was hauled up over the side of the ship. he was feeling sick but was keeping in down, he couldnt show weakness, he had to be strong, if not for himself, then for the girls and deacon. cant be a wimp in front of him.
He walks over to Kaari and Zoey and whispers "im going to have a little look below deck, see if there is anything to see." and starts towards the door.

Deacon Finally was able to realize where he was.. For awhile there Deacon did not even realize he was on the ship, his skin was getting very pale, his face was extremely green and some of his hair seemed to be falling out but he thought he might of been an hallucination.
Something on this ship was affecting Deacon in a way no one ells has really felt, Leland looked a little green but doesn't seem to be getting the same symptoms as Deacon was, and Karri looked perfectly fine. Deacon began to investigate the ship and realized he couldn't even see the sky or the water cause the fog was so thick and moved like it was alive.
Deacon notices Leland heading toward the door and Deacon decides to walk over there and see what is going on. Deacon realizes Leland was going below deck and decided to go with Leland and head below deck. Deacon opens the door and looks downstairs, the darkness was soo thick it looked like an abyss. The stairs were very old almost ancient, they were rotting and had a very ugly green tent to the stairs, almost looked like the stairs couldn't even hold a mouse.
The Darkness was so thick there was no way Leland and Deacon could head downstairs, so Deacon found an old lantern that was jammed up behind a barrel and tore off a piece of his shirt and lit the shirt with a lighter Deacon had in his pocket. Deacon began to go head down stairs, a gust of wind blew up from the stairs giving deacon uncontrollable chills.
