Almi looked about the room for a moment, satisfied with the destruction of whatever equipment had been in there. Following Zyphan closely behind, the two made their way out once more back the way they'd come before, being careful not to stir up too much dust or grab any unwanted attention. As if that were very hard; the once-full Colosseum had been almost completely emptied by the time they got there, and what had once been a clear-cut trail straight through now wove through several walls and around debris that'd fallen. "Shesh," Almi commented, "you'd think there'd been a war here or somethin'."
Just as she turned back to quit admiring the ruined space around them, the ceiling collapsed right in front of her, cutting her completely off from Zyph. There wasn't room for digging through, and the outer Colosseum was cut off from the outside. Looking around quickly, she noticed the air duct above, and that, with a little effort, she just might be able to reach it...

Reinos barely saw the movement when the old man rose from the rubble. He hadn't seen Scoltun fall but soon saw the Commander attacking him. Reinos' eyes glowed gold now as Roxy's had when Zyphan had been hurt. The draconian was obviously hurt, the others hadn't gotten with them yet, and they were all tired.
"No more," Reinos said,"No more fighting, no more war, no more death."
"NO MORE DEATH!" he screamed as his shadow seemed to come alive and take shape behind him.
"WOLF OF THE SANDS, DO NOT RAISE YOUR HAND AGAIN!" he screamed as the shadow took on the shape of Reinos in his wolf form, but it was only an illusion. The image of his demon, Lunare.
Norac looked down the ramp of rubble and cracked his neck. His eyes as cold as they could be for a human. He looked at the draconian once more and shrugged.
"You did good, boy," he told the draconian,"But it will take more than that to take down the wolf of the sands or the Mistress of Darkness."
"We will meet again, for now, leave the city...." he said turning and moving up the rubble and said over his shoulder,"...while you can.."
Reinos snarled before the illusion left and it fell as he looked to Mierca and Roxy. It was time to find the others and leave, as soon as they checked on Scoltun.

Scoltun got himself off the stones that were once part of the great arena of death. He had heard Reinos roar at the man but he didn't bother trying to understand what it all meant. "We will meet again... and I will destroy everything you and your Mistress cherishes. Enjoy your life...", he spoke to the man walking away. He wanted to say more but he was not a fool. There was no point in provoking him now. He was smart enough to admit that in his current state, he would be easily killed if he challenged this beast of a man.
His whole body was aching and he couldn't tell anymore how much damage had been done to him in the last few minutes. It had, thankfully, gone through so quickly that his adrenalin had kept his body from switching off right then. He decided it was a good idea to take take his victorious opponent's advice and get far away from here. He wondered and feared what would happen when his body began to respond to everything and hoped his new change had brought with it quicker healing.
He walked down the broken section of the wall where he had fallen, saving his strength to fly one of the others out of here. He knew he would either have to carry one of the others if they were to make it out of here fast. He suddenly remembered his partner in the arena and turned to look for the familiar red armor and spoke, "Where is he?"

Zyphan jumped when the ceiling collapsed, cutting her off from Almi. Instantly, she tried to see if she could shift it, but of course that was impossible. Ice wouldn't be much help either unless she wanted to blast it away in a flood, and that would hit Almi as well. Instead, she yelled through the wall (or tried to) to see if the girl was okay, that she wasn't crushed by the collapsed ceiling.

"I'm fine" she said through the rubble, mentally calculating the distance between her and the vent above. If she could get a quick boost off the pile next to her, Almi might be able to grab the gate and yank it off... Having finished guessing, she quickly pounded off the nearby pile, grasped the cover, and fell promptly onto her butt when it came straight off. Rubbing the sore away as best she could, the young lady got back up and scrambled up to the vent again, having to drag the guitar she'd been carrying for this long behind her, which barely fit to begin with.
It was tedious, but she realized that the guitar was a commodity she couldn't bring with her when it got stuck rounding a corner. She was afraid of making too much noise, but decided that just leaving it here was silly; taking a few minutes to rest, she dismantled and filed away several parts, including the pick-ups and strings. Stuffing what she could into her pockets, she left tears as Almi parted with the replica guitar, moving on in hopes that at least she wasn't going to have to part with that which she'd come here to find...

Reinos knew who he meant. The man, no ogre in the armor.
"I can't say Scoltun. He's probably buried underneath all this," Reinos felt a lurch in his chest as one of his memories came back. Him buried underneath rubble and a giant red hand pulling him from the rubble. The sky had been blood red and the scent of the air putrid...Pandemonium.
Reinos shook his head, not that pit of death. He wasn't going to think about it...he knew that it had been the one in the armor who had managed to save him from that undeath.
Reinos saw a glint of red in the rubble. He rushed over to start pulling away the rubble to get him out.
Norac was lloking back at the group, wondering why the Mistress wanted such weaklings dead. However, he shrugged it off and disappeared into the catacombs of what was left of the Colosseum. He had work to do....

Roxy looked and saw Reinos digging something up, or trying to.
She sighed and changed back to her fox form and lent a paw, digging faster than him so they could get out of there quickly.

Abruptly the rubble shifted, the hand that was trapped underneath heavy chunks of rubble shifted, the entire pile moving slightly as the giant stirred. Even so, it was pointless; he was as good as dead under so much earth. And even should they succeed in unearthing him here, which would itself take far too long, the weight he supported would give way, possibly causing one of the others to be buried. On top of that, he was bleeding badly both externally and internally. Even though he could not see them, he could feel the movement next to that hand. "There's no point..." a labored voice growled from under the stones and warped metal, "this... this is where I get off at... She's in good company now... both of them... Almara... and... ..." Before he could finish, his voice gave out, his body being nearly crushed under the weight of everything on top of him...
Almi found a way through the tunnels that the ducts were, but the path she figured she needed to go through- there was a stiff breeze originating from it that smelled fresh and clean- was blocked by debris. Turning down the only other way she could go, she heard breathing, heavy breathing, and a certain smell... Oh no!
Pain shot through her like a bullet as she realized who it was, and she immediately scurried down through there. Miraculously, the ducts remained mostly intact, though she eventually had to crawl through the tangled mess in total darkness. But it was him, it was most certainly him... she had to get there somehow, she just had to... As it were, however, the way to him directly was blocked by a large slab, and she didn't want to risk shouting lest it undo what was already a delicate balance...
Her hands and arms were small and weak, so she could not move the stone before her, but they could reach around it. No words were exchanged, but she did yelp when warm metal touched her hand. Had he heard her all along, or perhaps simply knew she would come this way? But there was something else, small, but warm... she clutched it, feeling the sides of it and all... then a thin thread fell across her hands, and she knew it was that necklace, the one he'd always said was her mother's-
Suddenly, the ground shifted several feet, and she screamed, scurrying into the flimsy tunnel immediately for shelter, any sort of shelter... when it stopped, she could smell something tinny in the air, a smell that caused her stomach to turn over several times and made her want to vomit. But she was still in shock, knowing but not wanting to believe what had just happened. Opening her palms, a small red glow emanated from the fiery gem set into the inlay, but she was too shocked to comprehend any meaning. Fighting back tears, she scrambled back up to where she'd been before to find what she assumed to be the way out open. There was no relief in her, however, for she was still in shock, only focusing on surviving the nightmare she was living in now as she made her escape to the outside world...

He wanted to move towards Roxy and Saturn to help them get the Guardian out but his body had begun to reel from effects of the punishment. The adrenalin was dying down and pain was rising in his body. No, they were not out yet and he couldn't become a liability yet. Though now, he was beginning to wish this would be over really soon. He couldn't keep this up any more.
He forgot about his problems when he saw the the hand break the surface of the rubble. He moved forward and took hold of the hand in a firm grip as the man spoke. He knew the man had probably had his last fight but he didn't want it to be like that. It was his fault that he had gotten buried under this pile of heavy rocks. He spoke as the man's grip on his hand began to relax, "No! She still needs you. Its not time yet..." When he got no respond, his guilt mixed with the concern for this man he barely knew drove him to do something his body was screaming at him not to.
"Get off the pile, it will collapse...", he told the other two and readjusted his grip on the hand. Crouching first and closing his eyes, he breathed heavily a few times before using every muscle in his body to try to lift this man along with his heavy armor. A lot of dust and small pebbles rolled down the pile as the draconian tried to break the man out and finally when he had almost given up hope, the body inched up just a bit and that was all he needed. He flapped his strong wings harder, lifting the man free.
Of course he couldn't stay in the air long so he landed immediately to the side and almost collasped. He would have just laid there had he not heard the scream when he had lifted the Guardian free. How could somebody be under him and be still alive. He guessed it was one of the pack he must have been fighting. He intended to find out if he was right. He moved up the now unstable pile to look in to try to see who it was. He didn't see anything and turned back towards the man now lying on the ground and then at the other two, "Is he...?"

Roxy just shrugged her shoulders and looked at the man before looking at the hole and smelling something.
Almi was down there, and Roxy made a light hop into the place where the Guardian had been, digging lightly to make escape easier.

'No more,' Reinos thought. His mind was fighting for a moment the darkness in his heart. This man had saved him froma fate worse than death and now through Reinos' actions, or at least how he saw it, he had delivered him to the Reaper. Reinos smelled Almi's scent only a fraction after Roxy and wasted no time.
He himself transformed into his full demon state and began digging along side her. His eyes were black however, as he dug. He had lost the red one, but he would at least protect the one he had called Almara....

Roxy dug carefully, giving Reinos a look to make sure he did as well. She didn't want the rest of the rocks to fall on Almi.
If the man in the red armor couldn't handle it, then Almi definitely couldn't.

So many noises going on all at once, Almi didn't know what was going on but figured whatever or whoever it was she didn't want to be there when it or they or whatever got through. Although her heart beat madly, she forced herself to calm down, to observe that which was around her as she picked her way through the debris. So many emotions, so many noises in her ears... sounds that didn't exist, but that didn't matter to her. They were memories, horrid ones, those that she had worked hard over the last seven years to forget; now, at the worst possible time, they were coming back to her...
Images flashed through her mind, and even as one was suppressed another appeared. Terrible memories of death continued to torment her, warping what little she could see... Almi could almost smell everything that had happened around her that day, the slaughter of her parents, the death of the others they had traveled with them... She fought in vain for control, but could only manage to hold out on screaming as they continued to torment her, the visions warping the very reality around her...
It wasn't until the darkness returned that she realized that the shifting pile had knocked her out, warm liquid coming from a spot on her head. The young lady just wanted to scream, to frighten all the pain and anguish away... but she knew it would not leave her, no matter how hard she tried. She needed to move again, she needed to live on. It was the only way she knew how; pushing back all the pain, both mentally and physically, she began the awkward and forced crawl back up the slope she'd just come down not a few minutes before, her clouded mind desperately trying to clear away what it could before she gave in, exhaustion wracking her tiny body even as sheer will screamed at her to move.
Almi would not die... no, she would only rest... rest for a few minutes and then move on when she felt she could once more... But the pain... no matter how much she pushed it away, it only came back at her more ferociously than before... She couldn't sleep, not even rest, with so much pain punishing her... no, she had to move... she had to... to...
Finally, she gave up, beaten and broken, too tired to speak. Whoever it was scrambling to scratch their way to her would find her, if it wasn't already too late... A new smell then came to her, musty and wet... Was it one of them, one of those half-whatevers that had rushed past her and Zyphan earlier? No, this was familiar, but... too far from her... she couldn't tell who it was... just too tired to know... stomach hurt... hungry and tired, and thirsty now too. So much pain... what could hurt her so much she wondered, but did nothing about it... She was so close to the top, but still too far, too far to make it out...

Roxy continued to dig till they got a hole through and peered in.
When she saw Almi, she dug faster so they could pull her out.

Reinos' heart lurched. He sensed in that one knot of threads that they all shared, the white thread, was wavering...shaking and dimming. This was bad, very bad. Reinos roared in his mind and body. In his mind he screamed.
"ALMARA!" he screamed into the void of his mind, down the white thread.
"DON'T GIVE UP!" he screamed and finally felt a shift with his claws. He shifted back to his human form quickly, knowing full well what Roxy had tried to tell him.
"Don't give up, Don't give up, Don't give up," he kept saying as he moved rock after rock, not wishing to put anymore stress on the rubble.....
(I do believe it is time to get out of this place, agreed?)
