Hey guys. I think I'm finally ready to start posting here again o.O
But, I just guessed it'd be easier to just post this thread and ask the question once, rather than bouncing around between roleplay-discussion and OOC threads and such: is there an original-themed "Medieval-Fantasy" role play that could do with an additional player?
If you know of/are part of/run one that I could join, please post here with the name of it--maybe a little description/summary too if you're not lazy like me, it'd help xP--and any other thing I should know about it just so I don't happen to jump in and then get thwaped in the face for doing something wrong because I didn't know about it o.O;
But yeah, thanks xP

Well, there are very few "active" RPs going on right now and only one fits "Medieval-Fantasy", "The Roads That Lie Ahead". The thing is its on the 22nd page though it still has a scope to join. Just read the discussion and let me know if it interests you. I don't think Talin will mind any new people joining since he doesn't seem to be around himself.
On another note, there is an RP "X-Veil" in the X-Men thread. You interested?

yes, we need someone else to fill in for the *content deleted* because a certain thread starter decided to skip town and go off to play by himself somewhere else, leaving the rest of us in wait and anxious to get the d**ned thing moving again so something half-way decent can form. Hell, I haven't even been able to bring out my character's abilities (i say 'abilities' because, to me, it makes me sound a lot less like a girly man than saying 'powers') save for one scene that lasted about one whole friggin' post...
on another completely unrelated note I found Fatal Frame 2 today, so i'll be scaring myself sh*tless tonight and probably fall in bed lying wide awake wondering if some god-awful ghost is going to jump out of the closet and rip my manhood off should I even dare bat an eye... that and I consumed the contents equal to one atomic fart bomb, so sleeping won't be an option anyways if I don't want to gas myself to death...
EDIT: God bless Skyline Chili. thought i'd just throw that out there...

Alright, thanks. It looks alright o.O
Is there a specific place you'd like me to throw up my bio? Or should I just paste it into the bio thread and tell you it's there? (In fact, it will be there shortly after you finish reading this post) Let me know if you see anything wrong with it--send me a PM or something so I don't miss your post o.O. Also, is there any specific place that'd be convenient for me to start in? You know, like a place near your/someone's character that can get things to move a bit for you guys?
Oh, and I'm not too sure about the X-Men then. I was never a fan of the series in the first place, and I tried it once before, and didn't like it too much.

I'd start with reading the thread. And then go from there. We're all in a camp right now, so any time would be good once you read the thread. Up to you though.

er- wouldn't it be easier just to say something like:
"We're in a camp. It's out of the way from public roads, etc. It's inside a dense forest. You should know there's a few distinctive monsters running around."
And just fill me in to what's going on at the very moment I'd be coming in, rather than having me read the entire thread? o.O

because its kinda a long story and much more beneficial to read it.
But i suppose someone who has time can if you really want.

Alright. I didn't know typing fifteen words or less would be all that time-consuming though. All I need is a general idea of where this place and things that'd allow me to figure out how I can get in without suddenly popping up out of nowhere.
I understand there was a battle a bit previous to the "everyone's healing in a camp" scene that you're all in now. Would this be a place I could have my character, Ashen--who I posted on the character profile board for the thread if you need to look it over some--(he's somewhat of a bounty-hunter/Peace Maker that helps out wherever and whenever he can and that kind of stuff, you know) can simply stumble upon, maybe after hearing, or hearing OF some sort of disturbance in the area?

You don't need to get smart.
The point I was making is the summarization is a bit more complex than just "come in here." Unless you just wanna join and not understand any of the story.
in that case. Basically, There was a town at the beginning, where most of the group met up, They basically followed my character, Mammoth, after a few scuffles and discussions on a trek to the war camp between the two kingdoms of Korgasa (us) and Starj. The third kingdom is fighting elsewhere, the name slips me at the moment. But basically, we arrived, and Mammoth gave his tactics for winning the battle, and then they put it into action. They won the battle, and now they're healing at the camp. Arthos (Knight's character) headed out to go spy, and the others are scattered around the camp.
Thats about as cut down as the summary can get.

I wasn't trying to 'get smart' as much as I was just trying to point out that it would take less time for you to type something and let me know what's going on, just in the very scene you're all in at the moment, rather than having me go back and read twenty-two pages just to find out where you are. Maybe I should use more text smilies so my wording doesn't seem so annoyed o.O Lifeless text ftl
I understand the better deal of the story, about the three kingdoms fighting each other (2 vrs 1) and I read a page back or so from the latest page and found out that everyone was at a camp seemingly after sustaining a few injuries. Someone bringing a wounded "enemy soldier" back in one of the posts gave the hint that it was a battle that took place. I knew that already, and that was probably enough to grasp the story. And if not, then I can gradually find out the finer details simply by interacting with other characters. o.O
What I wanted to know, is simply where the camp was (is it in a destroyed forest? Mountains? Ice caps? What time of day? Just looking for a setting here), and if other people would have known about the battle/skirmish, or if other people could even get there. Everything else I can more or less find out on my own from interacting and piecing things together as the story progresses. After all, didn't I hear that it was more of a mixed assortment of plots rather than a main one?

We're in a forest, it's fall/winter, i guess it's morning now. There was a big battle the day before, a few of us fought a demon but nobody knows that so it's not common knowledge. Fantasy type setting, ya know lotr style, along those lines. Magic is okay, nothing too powerful though. Basically there is like a little group we've formed. There are five or six of us and we met and travelled together to fight in this war. The war is between Korgasa, who we are fighting for, and two other kingdoms. Most of the war has taken place in the forest which is called the Fallwood, but our camp is right outside of the forest. The enemy's camp is way deep in the forest, a few hours walk/ride give or take. Everyone's resting after fighting some huge battle where most of us got injured. Seeing as your character hasn't been with us from the beginning you wouldn't know about any of the crap that we've been through so that's all not really that important. In any case, I suggest reading from the beginning when you have time because it is a good story and you'll get some background info on the story and our characters. At the very least go read the discussion thread for it. I think the best way for your character to enter would be now, while we're all at camp. You could be a soldier in the army of Korgasa and you could have just fought in the last battle with us, admired our impressive skills and came to talk to one of us or something. We aren't like a group technically or anything, just kinda starting to become friends, so you don't have to like ask to join us or whatever, just kinda talk to us and what not, fight with us when a battle comes, you'll more or less be accepted over time, we don't judge too harshly. That's just an idea i'm throwing out there cuz it's prolly the easiest way for you to jump in, and that way your character could kinda have an idea about what's going on. Hope that clears up everything for you...

It does. Thank you. My initial idea was along the lines of this: My character, Ashen, is a member of a band of "Non-profit Mercenaries" (as in, they don't fight for just anyone for payment, but rather commit themselves to serving the welfare of the people and accept rewards where offered to keep the group's expenses down) that call themselves the Cerulean Knights--even though they're not all literally knights. The location and history of their formation is left out in the description in my character's bio purposely, so that I can simply adapt it to fit what ever is in the roleplay.
Anyways, with that out of the way, my idea was to have the 'base' (not so much a big base or building, but just a meeting place they've all agreed on. Like a park or something) of the Cerulean Knights is located in Korgasa--naturally they'd fight on its side. The 'Knights' are rarely together in the first place, so the members who took the offer for the $100-a-day payment and enlisted within separate regiments. This way, if we need another character, I could easily come up with another and just say that they were another member of the CK. It makes things a bit easier, I think ^^
Anyways, Ashen, who enlisted into the Korgasan army, could be maybe a part of a small group of reinforcements sent to your camp-site. Or if maybe not reinforcements, maybe just tagging along a shipment of supplies(medical items, food, weapons, etc).
That alright? Or anything specific coming from that, that you'd like me to do?

OoI *Orbs of Infinity is at ice... Could use a boost, a medival RP which is great by my opinion, just that it is a little TOO LITTLE people figuring that it has started, as well that they had characters there ... Still does too Gladly taking in joiners as we are in the beginning of it

i know you wanted something medieval-fantasy, but i've got a third charrie i'm playing in my rp with knight, and was wondering if you'd care to play him. you don't have to though, just throwing in the idea. he's a friend to my zyphan, but is now captured by the human anti-mutant militia. he's a jumper, aka he can 'warp' himself to any location anywhere. think a little of what nightcrawler does, and then think a bit of what the kid in the movie "jumper" does.
just an idea. you don't have to. we're barely into the rp, so you could easily pick up where i left off with ayden (that's the name of the guy you'd be playing).
