Alexander looked over at Janitor. "The only problem with that would be the security coming from inside the building. You can't really shoot at them without risking hitting us."

"True, but chances are they can fit more people outside than in.."

Ratache gave a short laugh. "It doesn't matter how many more they can fit outside than in. What matters is that the ones they do 'fit', as you say, on the inside are going to be on familiar turf, outnumber us by quite a bit, and be trained specifically to kill or subdue us. The moment we're found out, we'll be fighting against time. It won't be a question of if they can overwhelm us, but how quick their security response is. I'd imagine that they'd be even more on their toes than usual, given the presence of a supply convoy and what we predict to be a lack of 'Mechs in the field."

Alexander nodded at Ratache. "On the plus side, the regular base crew will be pretty lax. The comm chatter made it sound like there was some rather...er... interesting supplies coming in. None of the crew wanted to miss out on getting some, so they'll all be with the cargo. It also sounded like the cargo wouldn't be held in the hangar. They apparently have a second hangar they use for vehicles that's on the other side of the base." He shook his head a bit. "Falcons truly are morons..."

"Want me to blow the 'supplies,' just to piss them off even more?" The Janitor asked, noting the convenience.

Seth rubbed his hands together, looked at the Janitor, and said, "Excellent."
(OOC: Montgomery Burns kicks ass.)
Seth then turned to Ratache and Alexander. "They won't be bringing anything heavy inside the hangar... they'll fear damaging their 'Mechs too much," he said. "There will be a lot of risk with this mission -- outside our 'Mechs we're extremely vulnerable -- but if we keep our wits about us and remember our training, we should be able to handle whatever infantry they've got inside the hangar. Trandia!"
A blond woman with a bulky communications and sensor package in her lap jumped a little and looked up. "Yes, sir?" she asked.
"I want you to keep close tabs on all enemy communications this mission," Seth told her. "No jamming, just monitoring. Make sure you can alert us in advance if they send more forces in." Trandia nodded.
(OOC: We needed a communications officer this mission. *shrugs*)

(OOC: Well, I can play everything with surveillance from the skies)
"Sounds good. Once your cover is blown I will send a complimentary present to them with their purchase, and then help you blow your way out."

Alexander nodded at Seth. "Sir, shall we get the mission underway then? The supply caravan arrives in less than an hour, and it'll only be staying for another eight or so."

"Unless anyone else has something to add," Seth said, nodding along with Alexander's suggestion. He looked around the room and waited.
(OOC: Somebody post that they're leaving if nobody has anything to say, then we'll start the mission.)

"Alright, lets get this show on the road." Evan said unenthusiastically. He was excited, but the mission had too many if ands and buts. He made his way up through the hallways and to the hanger, where he took the ladder to the cat walk. He then walked past some of his wing men until he reached his ship, the large three barrel after burners glowing a soft red. He reached for his helmet, which lay neatly on an ammo crate.
"Alright Kit, it's time." He said, knocking on the canopy. Just then it slid open, and Kit had already put on his helmet and was sliding on his pilot gloves.
The Janitor patted Kit's helmet twice, which read KIT on the back, symbolizing his nickname. Sliding in the seat in front of him, he also began his pre-op ritual.
"Is she fueled up?" The Janitor asked, turning his head so he could see his co pilot in he peripheral vision.
"Yes sir." Kit responded enthusiastically.
"Bombs in the bay, rockets in the pods, missiles on the wings?"
"Yes sir."
"All radar systems and shields checked and ready?"
Yes sir."
"How about the spy plane camera that was custom fitted to the nose?"
"Operational." Kit responded, giving the thumbs up.
"Then lets reach for the skys, and say our goodbyes, they need a cleanup on isle twelve!" The Janitor said, completing the ritual. He gave the thumbs up over his seat and into Kit's face, and the canopy closed.
A young female voice then came from the radio in his helmet, "Echo 419 you are clear for launch. Opening launch bay doors." Just then the solid steel wall in front of them lurched to either side, and slowly began to slide open, letting a crack of sunlight in, and it grew larger and larger until you could see the clouds and the surrounding area.
"Catapult ignites in ten seconds. Good luck squadron leader." The women said again. He could hear it from the cockpit, the sharp whine of the catapult charging, then, as if being fired out of a gun, he was propelled into the sky.
"This Echo 419 to control, we have successful launch." Kit informed the tower.
"Roger that Echo 419, await the ground leader's orders before proceeding. For now stay on station.

"Janitor, this is Psycho. Control informs me you're operational and ready," Seth said into his comm. "Follow the coordinates we gave you at the briefing... we've requisitioned a ground vehicle for my team, so you won't beat us there by too much." The way in which Seth said requisitioned was obviously intended to convey that he had stolen the vehicle from another unit.
Ending the call to the Janitor, Seth turned to the others in the hovertruck with him. "Everyone set?" he asked, looking around at the faces of his team, some of them startlingly young. Hopefully nobody gets killed today, he thought to himself.

"Roger that Psycho, Echo 419 en route." He replied. He pulled the yolk towards him, and his craft soared high above the clouds. After a few short minutes of peaceful flight, control commed in.
"Echo 419 be advised, you are now leaving allied territory and entering hostile zone." She said.
"You heard the lady Kit." Was all he had to say. His co-pilot sent out the signal to his two wingmen, and the wings that you could so easily see out of the corner of your eye became invisible.
"Psycho, this is Echo, patching through recon camera." He said to the ground team. On their HUD (or anything else they use) a small box showing the territory the camera on the nose of their plane was gazing at.
"You have control of the cam Psycho leader." He finished, and began observing the terrain himself.
"Oh, and one last thing. Try to mark targets for me, weather its with flares or digital signals, it will make things easier."

"Will do," Seth said. The hovertruck stopped out of enemy view, just behind a ridge, and the ground team disembarked. Seth peered over the ridge... no sign of enemy vehicles in the immediate vicinity, though he had no doubt they'd be coming soon. A quartet of sentries on foot marched in front of the bases' front entrance.
"Bullseye, you're up," he told the sniper, Vincent. "Take out those sentries as discreetly as possible. We'll cover you if they try to return fire." He drew his laser pistol... if he didn't need it to cover Vincent, he'd need it immediately after that.

"Yes sir." He moved into a better position and watched them for a moment. He got their pattern and killed them over when he was sure no one was watching. The first two dropped at nearly the same time, and before the others could draw their guns they were dead too.
"Sentries neutralized. You're clear." He looked around for any other targets, covering the teams run.

"Psycho leader, be advised, looks like you have light troop transports and even a possibility of enemy armor in the surrounding area." Janitor said to Seth on the ground.
"Best not be spotted by those, I dont think you can take them out quickly enough for them not to request backup."
