No if it's just in the sense of age that is fine, as my character is as well. Elves are immortal as far as age, but they can be struck down in battle. So im perfectly okay with anyone being immortal as long as they can be killed. Like pinata said, if your character gets their head cut off, or stabbed in the heart then that should be fatal, they shouldn't be able to heal from that. Likewise if they get their leg or arm chopped off they shouldn't be able to just grow it back or something. Immortal in age and mortal in battle

This dude is the original Crow, thought of years before the Desert version. If it seems like he godmodes, don't worry. He's only going to make brief two minuite apperances to give luna missions and whatnot.
Name: Crow Age: Very old. Only a few of the elders know how old he is, much less where he's from. Race: Blew away from human centuries and centuries ago. Gender: Male.
Weapon(s): Whatever he feels like summoning. Style of fighting: Rips a person's soul out before throwing it into some lower hell.
Abilities: Is very strong, and very fast. Has much more powerfull spells at his disposal than Luna.
Alignment: Evil. He dosen't care. If he wants to, he'll do it.
Personality: Likes to mess around with whatever intends to mess with him. Sadistic and ruthless. Can be kind to other soul hunters at times.
Appearance: Black shimmering trenchcoat, pants, and boots with red trim. Pale skin, orange eyes, and black hair that goes halfway down his back. Also has a pair of large black wings. Normally has a purple aura surrounding him. Anyone that tries to see him for what he really is go blind untill the spell or whatever it is is over.(Ex. Detect evil, sence alignment, and so forth) Those that do so unintentionally feel like somthing is horribly horribly wrong.
History: All that's really known about him is that he's an avatar for the soul hunters. Anyone that asks only hears the thump as he punches them in the face.
Like I said, just throwing this guy in from time to time to mess around. I doubt he's going to do anything plot changing.

Seems fine. But if he is giving missions to Luna, he would be changing the story a bit i presume. Good addition anyway. Just don't make him fight Oh that reminds me, I will post the profile of the 'new' Arthos soon.

Name: Ashen Zierrah Age: Nineteen Gender: Male Race: Human Alignment: Good Class: Force-Warrior Appearance: ((yay, got a colored version!)) Ashen appears to be a rugged, experienced soldier and wanderer. His body structure is fairly lean with no real bulging muscles or heavy outlines about his person, but he has a fair strength over all his limbs and his torso and are evident by the gentle muscle tone of his body. He stands at around 5'11" and appears to have a fit weight, leaning towards a range in between a light and heavyweight--you could say Ashen is about "medium" when it comes to his body's structure and appearance. He still retains a young, smooth-looking face--one about par with a late-teen--though shows some very feint signs of adulthood. His hair grows naturally as a dark shade of a blue-violet indigo, and appears to be a bit spiky as well when it is cut in layers as it is. His hair, like his muscle tone and height, can be described as "medium," in length and volume in this case, with slightly more than half an inch of depth over top of his scalp, bangs that reach to the top of his dark purple eyes, and the back of his hair narrowing slightly as it extends down to its tapered end around the section just below the middle of his neck. Around his forehead, Ashen wears a scarlet red bandanna that pushes the longer spikes of his tapered bangs up a bit to add a small flaring look to the front of his hair--otherwise these front strands bend back down to cover up his bandanna a bit. The back of his bandanna has two "tails" of fabric that are nearly a foot and a half of slack that hangs down and flaps about when he moves. Ashen's torso is dominantly covered by a long-sleeved, green-tinted khaki colored tunic made of a thick, yet comfortable material--the collar is popped up around Ashen's neck, and the bottom ends an inch or two above his mid-thigh; there is a black belt with a silver buckle wrapped around the outside of the tunic at the waste it keep it pulled close to his body--as such, the bottom appears to flare out a bit as it opens up from the center to form an upside-down V shape from the fabric. From here, it is evident there is a charcoal-black linen shirt underneath of the tunic. Though, one noticeable aspect of the tunic Ashen wears, is that the right sleeve is torn off from the top of the elbow down--so, to follow suit, he has rolled up the sleeve of the other arm to match its length. Wrapped around the collar of the tunic are the intertwined tends of a long, wide scarlet red cape with deteriorating fringes. While the cape is usually kept behind it, it can be drawn up around his body to act as a coat if it is needed. A pair of fingerless, dark brown leather gloves with thick collars around the wrists are seen adorning Ashen's hands--the right handed glove, however, has an extension to its collar that exceeds up his forearm, unlike the other that simply stops below the middle of its respective forearm; the back-hand of these gloves are plated with a single 'shingle' of metal and function similar to that of armored gauntlets. Ashen's trousers are almost a perfect fit for him. Made out of a similar thick, yet comfortable material that was used for his tunic, the black pants are close-fitting, yet still roomy and easy to move in. These appear to be long pants, but with his dark, forest-green high boots that start just below the kneecap which the pants tuck into, this can not be noticed from the outside. These boots are made out of a fine, yet durable leather with two inches of an over-lapped collar at the mouth, and extra sown-in patches of leather just above the toes of the boots. Weapons/Abilities: Though Ashen, with his previous training, is experienced with many sorts of weapons, he has a deep preference to use two-handed swords. As such, the weapon he is seen carrying around on his shoulder is a long-bladed orangeish-gold colored espadon--that is, a straight-edged sword with the blades simply on the edges, rather than the entire blade being two sides of two sharpened wedges combined together. Counting both the simple black hilt complete with a fairly elaborate cross guard, the sword is about as long as Ashen is tall from the ground to his shoulders, and the blade is about half a foot wide; obviously it has some weight to it. Because Ashen isn't the burliest of warriors, his swings with the weapon a bit blunt, and it's easier to swing using two hands--though he's able to hold the sword in one without too much of a problem, it's just that swinging it against gravity would be harder with one hand than two. But, there is something far more unique to Ashen's weapon than meets the eye. The material that the blade is made from appears to be that of a glossy, polished orangeish-gold metal that shines and reflects light as thought it were some form of crystal or gem. This sword, in actuality, is what Ashen himself likes to call a "Force Blade." By focusing on transferring a form of 'energy' into the blade, Ashen is able to charge and build up a red 'force' that will begin to swirl around the sword's blade like a criss-crossing vortex of fire. This energy can then be unleashed, and either went off in a wide arch or straight beam like a bolt of magic, or used to add an intense power to a physical blow. Ashen had trained for years how to harness his own unique magic, allowing him not only to transfer energy to his sword, but his limbs, such as his legs, as well. Doing so, for example, could allow him to leap a high distance, or lunge forward very quickly. The catch to these powers, however, is that they are not instantaneously able to use--the energy Ashen possesses must be built and stored up in a specific location. This action requires heavy concentration, so it can not be done efficiently while he is distracted with other things to be aware of (i.e. being attacked). That is not to say it's not possible to store smaller, less useful amounts of force energy, only that the more powerful blows would take more time and effort to build up. The second con to Ashen's magic, is that it can only be released all at once in a single form, and then has to be built back up before he can use it again. Likewise, built up energy begins to dissipate over time, so his energy can not remained built up for long periods of time. The energy he uses regenerates itself within his body fairly quickly, though using many powerful abilities again and again can easily lead to fatigue. Ashen's fighting style uses a combination of martial arts, weapons, and his force magic to deal quick combination attacks to throw opponents off-balance, and are usually finished off with a crushing blow. He is adept to handling his sword, or any blade of a similar fashion, and is able to combine hand-to-hand fighting along with single-handed swings of the blade, using momentum as a driving force when doing so. Though he is still lean and agile, and would be able to outrun anyone clad in heavy armor, Ashen would be slower than those who uses lighter weapons, and have trained solely in the basis of being agile, where as he has put some effort into training his upper body strength as well. Personality: Somewhat terse, though sincere. Ashen's not exactly one for debating or giving long speeches, and though sometimes he can be quite blunt, his motives are always aimed towards being amiable rather than bringing harm or offense to other people. Though he doesn't talk a whole lot during serious encounters, there's an air about him that makes it seem as though he knows exactly what he is doing. With his previous training, Ashen has taught himself how to stay cool and focused in combat--which is essential to him being able to call on his abilities--and how to react to different situations that arise without notice. His strategiestend to be open-ended and flexible, and tries to play on his enemy's own tactics in order to turn them around on themselves. Off the field of battle, Ashen is friendly, understanding, and surprisingly mellow about most things. He rarely gets upset or over-worried with things that are not happening at the very moment. Though, one of his fatal flaws comes from that very nature of being amiable--he cares for his friends and loved ones in a way that he's often the first to rush out head-long to help them, even if it was fairly obvious he'd be walking into a trap--or even off a cliff depending on the circumstances. Overall, however, Ashen is a young man who means well, and does his best to show that in the efforts and decisions he makes. As an added note, he does not care much for a harness or sheath to go with his large blade. Instead, Ashen has carried it in his hand, usually resting the blade against his shoulder, which has made it a habit for him to do things mostly one-handed. He's already developed a method of climbing ladder, rocks, and trees with only one hand, and sometimes even eats with only one hand as well. Otherwise, Ashen rests his blade against an object, or simply sticks its blade into the ground to keep it within reach, and always under observation. Story: Ashen was born and raised on a ranch that bred and sold horses and cattle. As such, he developed an adventurous taste at a very young age as he enjoyed to ride horses all over and around the country area he lived in, as well as important lessons in responsibility and care he got from tending to the livestock with his family. When he finally came of an age in which he was old enough to leave his home and head out on his own, (or at least that's what he claimed he was when he was fourteen) he left his family who were reluctant to let him go in search for his own life's career, hoping to find one that would suit his taste for adventure as well; after all, he was only really headed towards the city that the family sold their goods at. It was then that he discovered, and was invited to join a small band of peace keepers that were to call themselves the Cerulean Knights--not to be confused, the group was not solely made up of knights, but a mix of gifted fighters, mages, marksmen, and intellectualists. Ashen accepted the group's invitation without hesitation, and was soon welcomed into their ranks as a recruit. Having no combat experience before that point, the young teen was put through rigorous training exercises day in and day out, giving him the knowledge, experience, and skill needed to be a full-fledged member of the 'crime-fighting' guild; as the Cerulean Knights were sometimes called, though they, themselves, were more like a group of adventurers who put time aside from their lives to help out where they could. It was here that Ashen took a liking to heavy weaponry over lighter, simpler cutlery, and was later granted with the Force Blade that he carries with him now as an adult, after his training. For the years he spent learning the art of combat, he awakened the magic potentials that flowed within his body, and discovered how to harness them to use to his advantage. Although perhaps not the best or the brightest within the band of 'knights,' Ashen was a gifted student who learned quickly, and soon became one of the most reliable persons within the group. Today, Ashen travels from place to place, just he like had dreamed of doing, following the code of the Cerulean Knights wherever he goes. Though he travels alone, he does write the occasional letter, has bumped into a few other members, and does his best to make it into town for the meetings that are held annually, so he is still very "in-touch" with the guild.

Name: Wolfe (just something people have got used to calling him) Age: Unknown (looks about 17 or 18, but is actually at least a hundred years older) Race: part Human & part werewolf (born) /Wizard Height: 6'0" Weight: 146 lbs. Weapons: None Fighting style: He is a heavy magic user, his use almost depicting his intense hate against anyone he does attack. He doesn't use his magic to heal anyone and is mostly of darker nature. He has complete control over his werewolf forms. He has two werewolf forms. One look more humanoid and allows him to use magic in this farm. The other form looks like a 20 feet long giant wolf with a hard exoskeleton more like a rhino. He cannot use magic in this form but suffice to say, he had never needed to when he chose to use this form. Alignment: Chaotic Good Appearance: He is a tall individual with a mature, clean shaven face. He has an athletic built and seems to dress always in a black comfortable clothes with dark green snake markings highlighting slightly. His tabbard has a wolf insignia displayed on his chest which is most of the time covered with his long black, knee length overcoat. Werewolf appearances: Personality: He seems very calm on the surface but his hate comes out in his werewolf forms. When he kills, he kills in such a way that all those around his target get demoralized. Suffice to say he is a ruthless killing machine. He has absolutely no loyalties and no friends save for one. He is not interested in having any more of either. He is very gloomy to be around but will not share anything about himself even if you ask. Abilities:Turning into the two werewolf forms. Magic use in more aligned towards dark powers but include, if only sparingly used, other spheres of magic. Like Pinata, he can open portals to parallel universes (known as "Planeswalking"). He also stopped aging when he turned 18 as well due to something that happened on his original home 'plane'. History: He travels from world to world hunting demons and other monstrosities. His current target has brought him to this world. Nothing is known about his past except to one person who knows him, Pinata. No one knows about the loss he mourns.

Name: Vex (An alias, as he's a very confusing/confused individual)
Age: 59. He appears as 20 due to an unusual event involving a reencarnation and a nasty bump to the head resulting in him growing up with no knowledge of his past life.
Race: Elan, basically re-encarnated human that resulted through a rather strange individual making a deal for power.
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Weapons: A black crystal staff. To the dismay of many "Straight edge" friends, a small pipe is connected to the top.
Fighting Style: Vex is a Psion. He practices a form of magic rarely even heard of, much less seen in action. His is the magic of the mind. His magic doesn't use mana but sheer willpower, though it generally works to the same effect. Mana users are generally confused the first time they see a psion such a him. After all! Things are blowing up, but where's the mana?
Alignment: Chaotic Evil. Though not actually that bad to hang out with, he does have a rather self serving nature, willing to do anything to further the current goal. Which is partially a good thing, because he rarely has a goal worth betraying friends over, or even a goal in general.
Appearance: Brown dreadlocks, green bloodshot eyes, and fairly tanned skin. Wears a ratty brown coat, dirty white shirt, and black ripped up pants. He's rather thin, and almost frail. If it weren't for his magic, he'd likely be dead twelve times over by now.
Personality: Incredibly random. Could be laying out serious battle plans one moment, then laughing at a generals beard the next, commenting on how it looks like a wig was glued to his face. Likes to counter anger with laughter and violence with taunting.
Abilities: He can use his mental magics for a variety or purposes. It can go from sustaining himself without food, or causing an explosion to occur near someone's head, with mostly anything in between. Strangely enough, the pionics lend his spellcasting abilities nearly invisible due to the lack of mana. An experienced spellcaster could likely detect something strange however.
History: Not knowing about his past life, or even that he had one, he grew up as any normal child would in the infamous pirate isles. As a thief, a sneak, and a con artist. At least until the community realized he was born with a potential for working magic. It all came out at a birthday when a rather large bully was found glued to the ceiling. He was immediately rushed to the local shaman where he attempted to learn sorcery. But nothing seemed to work. None of the incantations, spells, or even the abilities that were supposedly a sorcerer's innate abilities.
Becoming more frustrated by the day, the shaman began punishing the boy when he failed in his lessons. Pushed to desperation the boy began learning to master his own abilities, eventually becoming able to fake knowledge in the arcane. Being rather unaccomplished, his mentor had no idea that he was being duped.
Eventually he was sent out as a battlemage on a ship called the Red Runner. He managed to help in sinking one ship and recovering the valuables before they put into port at a mainland dock. Amazed at how large and cold it was he went into the street, bought what would later become his rather worn out coat, and simply left town to explore. This was five years before the war began. Now he could likely be anywhere.
(Hope there aren't any problems with the character. I thought the whole Reencarnation thing would be an interesting back story, despite the fact we already have someone else kinda like that....Which i failed to realize until typing this sentence....)

It's not really all that similar to other characters though, and his psionics serve to set him apart from the rest of us as well. I like where you're going with this, though I'll miss Luna... Pinata didn't even get a chance to hit on her yet.

Post by Caelen on Mar 8, 2009 5:07:50 GMT -5
This is what I went crazy designing... Let me know what you all think!
Name: Caelen Foss
Stats: 6’7”, 187lb, Male Anthropomorphic Tiger, 25 years old (appears to be barely 18)
Appearance: Caelen is tall and thin, with a compact but muscular frame. He is built like a swimmer or runner, his body seeming to flow as he moves. His body is covered in snow-white fur with black stripes. His stomach, chest, and face don’t have stripes, which makes his black nose stick out. His face is elongated in a short muzzle, and the fur there is shorter. He has dark sapphire blue eyes, with vertical slits, that sparkle like gems. He has pads on his palms the bottoms of his feet, and his fingers are elongated. He has claws on all of his fingers and toes, though he can retract them when he wants to. The fur on the backs of his hands is short like the fur on his face. His tail fur is slightly longer than the rest of his fur, and the very tip of it is pure black. It’s shaped more like a large house-cat tail than a tiger’s tail. Matching the black tip on his tail, he has straight black hair on top of his head, with the layered strands being anywhere from four to seven inches in length. His feline ears also follow this pattern, being white with black tips, and stick up as one would expect to see on a normal cat.
Caelen usually wears a cloak of some kind over the rest of his clothing, preferring to keep his fur-covered body hidden from prying eyes. When he opens or removes his cloak – a rare occurrence – his clothing is simple, and some consider it sparse. Indoors, he normally wears a short black vest, laced along the front, and black knee-length shorts that lace along the sides. He keeps both of these very snug, and the shortness of the vest leaves a few inches of fur visible between his shorts and his vest. When it’s very cold out, he wears thick, fur-lined clothing, usually topped with either a black or a white hooded cloak. When temperatures are milder, he tends to only wear his vest and shorts with a thin cloak, as his fur is dense enough to keep him warm, provided it doesn’t rain. In hot weather, as one might expect, he wears as little as he is able to get away with. Regardless of the weather or his location, he almost always has his tail wrapped around his waist like a furry belt. The only times he lets it loose is when he needs the extra balance or when he’s completely relaxed.
When expecting combat, Caelen wears rugged leather armor with metal inserts at specific locations for added protection without costing maneuverability. His armor, like most of his clothing, is black. The only visible metal is on his bracers, which seem larger than they should be due to a concealed weapon, though the apparent design suggests that they are designed to function more like shields.
Personality: Caelen is mildly impulsive, and very curious. When around familiar faces, he likes to listen to people talk, but often interrupts with questions if something isn’t clear to him. Around unfamiliar faces, he tries to conceal his appearance until he gets a feel for how they might react. He is very easily distracted by sudden movements, especially if it’s something shiny, though is capable of focusing on something if the need arises. He acts mostly as his heart directs, and his heart usually points him towards good deeds. He sees little value in rules or regulations, and has a rather naïve belief that all people have at least some good inside them. Some, however, do not qualify as people in his eyes. While this list is small, those who hunt were-beasts for no real reason are the only ones he has never been able to forgive.
History: Caelen is the son of a were-tiger and a human. His father, a tall man to begin with, was a natural lycanthrope. He was the typical white were-tiger – proud, strong, forceful, and fair…and more than a little stubborn and headstrong. His mother was a twig of a human, with skin almost as white as the were-tiger’s fur. Despite being so frail, she had a personality and force of will that met, if not exceeded, the were-tiger’s. Unfortunately, a group of hunters heard about the white were-tiger and his human “captive” (though all that lived nearby knew that, if either the tiger or human were a captive, it was most definitely the tiger). The hunters came in the night, and overpowered the were-tiger, killing him brutally. Caelen’s mother escaped with her child, but died as she handed him over to her closest friends. The frantic escape was simply too much for her frail body to handle.
Raised with the full knowledge of what he was, Caelen had one of the best imaginable childhoods, except for the few times the group of hunters came back to the town. He could never forgive them, even though all of the ones that had killed his parents had died within a decade, killed by the very were-beasts they hunted. The town he lived in treated him as family, for family he was. They kept him hidden from the hunters, year after year, until he decided he would finally set out on his own. At the age of 20, he set out to find his place in the world.
Weapons: Caelen has a pair of black leather gloves with long metal claws at the ends of the fingers and metal plating all around them, giving the appearance of light clawed gauntlets. These gloves are used to give his natural claws additional reach and cutting power, and the runes on the plates are used as a focus for his magic. His bracers conceal a strange dart-launcher, giving him a short range weapon that offers surprise rather than range and stopping power.
Style of fighting: Caelen is best with up close and personal combat, where he can use his claws to their fullest potential. His style is all his own, and he has developed a very graceful way of moving that almost seems like flowing water. If he has distance to close, he usually launches a pair of darts while dashing forward. When ranged combat is a necessity, however, he falls back on the few offensive magics he knows. His favorite trick is to move water (from his own water skin if needed) onto many small sharp objects and use the water to lift and throw the objects. If there are no objects, he’ll freeze the water into blades of ice, though this drains much more of his energy.
Magic: Caelen is skilled with enchantments and illusions, and he has innate talent with water manipulation. He has even learned to manipulate water with complex movements that allow him to swim at lightning speeds, and in such minute detail that he can momentarily halt the flow of blood from a wound. Combined with simple white magic (the only other magic he’s taken time to learn), he can easily heal shallow wounds, including the ever-annoying paper cut. As with any magic, the more he tries to use it, the more it drains his energy. He does not yet have the experience to maintain his strongest magic for extended periods. A simple glamour, however, is something he could likely maintain in his sleep, if he could concentrate on it.
Other items: Caelen has a backpack that was magically altered to reduce both the weight and size of anything stored within. It’s a small pack, but it carries all of his traveling gear. Inside the pack, one can find his clothing for different climates (including many spare sets), camping gear, traveling gear, a small canvas tent, and many other items commonly found in a traveler’s possession. The backpack also has many pockets on the sides. Caelen uses these pockets for magical components, preferring to keep them within easy reach. He tends to keep many spare, and full, water skins in his pack as well.

I like this character. And don't worry about what I said in the other thread about blue mages being logical and green mages being impulsive... it's a stereotype that applies to many, but not all, and therefore shouldn't require a change in the personality you've already established for the character.
Also, good to RP with you again... if only Roara were still involved with this thread, we could say we're getting the band back together.

That could be quite entertaining...especially since Caelen would probably like that. He is a modified version of a character I RP elsewhere, and in that place he's romantically involved with an anthro wolf ^^;

Lol GG, may I remind you that unofficially I am running this RP right now so... don't mess with teh Wolfe! On a more serious note, welcome. Anyway, I thought I should mention that this upcoming confrontation would be the final war/battle of sorts so there isn't much time left for character development. Though you would have plenty of opportunities for action There is a possibility of a sequel though... if people are interested. EDIT: Oh and FYI, if Wolfe was chasing you, it wouldn't be for fun, but most probably to kill you. So don't think you want that happening!

Yeah, we'll probably wind up having a sequel. Because Mammoth and I both have characters named after ourselves, I've been toying with the idea of a "main characters" RP where we play characters we've played a lot before... because Wolfe would also likely appear that'd make it sort of an unofficial sequel, plus we can also do an official one.
