Rusty worked to stifle a laugh, opting instead for a knowing grin. "Looks like someone had one too many Rubyred Divers," he said. "Need someone to call a cab?"

" Good day Anna," Jason replied as warmly as he could manage. He took off his shades and hooked them on the front of his jacket as he leaned casually on the desk. " I'm looking for a ride, would you be the one to talk to?"

"Is that what that foul concoction was called?" She snorted, inspecting the tear in her tights with a disappointed frown. Her speech was as sharp as any sober person and perhaps the coolness of the words paled the blush that threatened to give her embarrassment away. She was a lightweight with booze and hated when it was brought to her attention. "Thanks for the offer, but I'll be fine walking." Kyra nodded her head towards Rusty and, once more, adjusted her collar.

"Of course, sir. Is there a particular model you are looking for? We have sedans, mini vans, coups, and pickup trucks," Annabella said with a warm smile.
Rusty sat down at the bar and ordered a glass of gin, setting his hat on the bar as always. "And tell Jenkins I'm here to see him," he told the bar tender as he brought the glass of gin over. "So, what brings you to this heap?" he asked the woman.

She sniffed, turning her head toward this newcomer. She wasn't too sure what to make of him, couldn't quite see the criminal nor the cop in him. "Best not to answer questions you don't want to answer yourself, don't you think?" The words, while ambiguous in nature, were biting with her harsh spin. While instinct demanded she march out and try to stay as hidden as possible, logic told her to order something to eat and take the edge off the alcohol. Kyra didn't bother taking a seat, ordering some greasy, filling thing to steady her legs.

Rusty took a moment to glance over at the woman, cocking an eyebrow. There was something off about her, he just couldn't quite tell what it was. He lifted his right hand, with the gin glass in it, to take a drink, making his tattoo visible as his jacket sleeve retracted a bit, showing a bit more than what was on his hand. He set the glass down. "I'm here to get some answers about some men," he said idly. "So we're square. Your turn."

"Actually, I'm looking for one ride in perticular, a recent rental." He pulled out a scrap piece of paper he had scribbled the VIN number down on. " This one exactly." He dropped it on the desk.

Kyra frowned. She hadn't been expecting an answer in such a seedy place. Caught offgaurd she feigned a cough, covering her mouth in a sickeningly forced daintiness. "Originally I was just passing through on my way to Ganymede, but this place appealed to me so I decided to stay my vacation for just a day." It wasn't the strongest of alibis, but it served its purpose well enough. She watched the stranger, fearing guilt to come through if she dared turn her head. The woman folded her thin arms over themselves and stood in front of the counter, tapping her foot impatiently.

"Interesting," Rusty mused. He couldn't imagine anyone actually staying in this dump by choice. But then again, people did it all the time. He took another drink of gin as the bartender walked over to him. "Jenkins is here now," he said, pointing down the bar.
"If you'll excuse me," Rusty said as he finished his gin and walked over to meet Jenkins.
"Hmm..." Annabella searched through the company database once, then twice. "It seems that car is rented out already. If you'd like, we can rent you a comparable model," she said with a beaming smile.

" Really? Now who has that car exactly?" Jason asked, leaning to see the display.

Annabella hesitated for a moment. "I'm...not sure I can give that information out to just anyone, sir," she said with a slight stammer.

" You sure about that?" Jason asked with a smile. " Would it help if I told you they used your car to rob a bank?"

Annabella was taken aback for a moment. "Are...are you sure?" She said. "Are you with ISSP?"

" Very sure, got the whole thing on vid," Jason answered, trying to power on passed the second question in the process. " If I could get a name, we might be able to put these guys were they belong quickly, and quietly." He leaned in closer. " Not that your good and honest company is in anyway in the wrong just because it was one of your cars they used, but you know how rumors and such get around, and and any sort of connection between them and you could be skewed. Bad publicity is that easy. But the quicker this get taken care, the less likely anything like that might happen."

"Wow," Annabella said. She began printing off the sheets for the car rental, and handed them to Jason. They showed a Barry Vinyard paying for the rental with a credit card. "I hope you catch them," she said with a sincere smile.
Rusty stood from the bar, fresh off the meeting with his ISSP contacts. He walked past the girl at the bar he had been talking to earlier. "Don't be a stranger, now," he said with a smile. Then he was on his comm to Jason. "What have you got, Smoke?"
