Well, with recent information... I'll just throw an idea out. *whistles innocently*
The idea going through my head right now is an anthro cat. Human body, elongated fingers, fur all over his body, claws (retractable of course...can't have painful handshakes!), and a much more feline head with more of a muzzle than a human face, and a tail of course. As for where this could come from... maybe a were-tiger and a human had a kid, and poof, anthro cat. I have no ideas on special powers though...aside from natural cat stuff (good balance, reflexes, and senses... and very easily distracted by movement or shiny objects).
What are these magic colors I saw in a recent post? Could someone give me a quick rundown of what they are, and what colors do what? That might give me some ideas. ^^

I assume they're somewhat elementally-linked
ie- red~fire, blue~water, green~earth/plants, black~darkness, white/light~holy/sky(?)
i dun't really know, but just taking a rough stab and it sounds accurate enough ^-^"

The 5-color setup eh? Sounds like Magic the Gathering... >_>
Hmmm... water fits this kitty pretty well actually... if that is indeed what it's all about.
*ponders some more*

Well, I'm thinking something new for me... aquakinesis, illusions, and enchantments. Those are all "blue" magics in some magic systems I've seen. Everything except Final Fantasy blue magic that is.
Also... I kinda went crazy and started working on this character... so. I'll post it, then y'all can let me know whatcha all think?

I'm using the Magic: The Gathering setup as a baseline for the magic colors... Pinata originated as a character for an MTG RP, and morphed into a more universal fantasy character (with a Harry Potter backstory) later. A more explicit rundown of colors, though Swytch had the basics right: Red= Earth/fire elemental magic, chaos and warfare... it can be either light (as used/represented by barbarians) or dark (red and black are allied colors, because Hell has a strong fire base). Blue= Air/water elemental magic, intellectual magic (mentalism, telekinesis, illusions) and alchemy/artifice. It's usually considered the "neutral" color, being more pragmatic and intellectual than either good or evil. Green= Earth/nature/weather magic. Probably the most straightforward color, it's the polar opposite of blue because its energy runs on emotion... blue, being logical rather than passionate, often counters (or can be countered by) green. Black= Darkness, death, destruction and decay. Not necessarily evil, but almost always used for evil, its use is frowned on in certain realms because it is misunderstood due to the aforementioned evil applications. White= Light, healing, protection, chivalry and certain types of holy magic (green, red and blue mages have their own gods, and consider their colors to be holy magic as well). Although often used for good, it has an undeservedly glowing reputation as a color of magic because sometimes its practitioners are so judgmental they use it for more evil ends than black mages would (Inquisitions, holy wars, etc. often involve white mages).

Just so you know, Mammoths magic "appears" blue in color, but it is Neutral energy, as stated.
That is just how the character works. I tried to explain it in the post. Let me know if something isn't clear.
I don't follow any of the MTG rules or anything. As far as "mana" it would be a gray, i'd assume.

Magic in MTG is only available in the five colors I stated... as far as Mammoth's magic goes, there are other ways to do magic besides the MTG way and Pinata understands and accepts that. Once he sees Mammoth indulging his new powers he will simply realize that something he's not familiar with is being used and shrug it off as one of those new things a person learns every day, and OOC I won't try to force my character's perception of magic onto anybody either... the way Pinata describes it in his posts, and the way I described it here, is just the way Pinata was taught (after leaving Hogwarts, of course).
With the mana thing... Mammoth's energy may not even be mana, there are other ways to generate magical power as well. You don't have to use MTG terminology if it's unwieldy for you. But most lifeforms have a mana essence -- a lifeforce -- and the barbarians in MTG (therefore, the barbarians on other planes Pinata's visited) are red, which was why he assumed Mammoth was as well (that, and Mammoth's so good at fighting/forging equipment and red is the color of armorers and soldiers).
As I said, though, your interpretation of your character's magic is the only canonical one. Pinata will learn in time what the correct view of Mammoth is, once certain mysteries regarding the character are solved.

Gotcha, so in essence you're just saying that the magic thing was just pinatas perception, perhaps only on his plane even. I didn't think it would step on anyones toes, I just wanted to clarify because its always good to do so you don't run into conflict in a RP Nonetheless, let me know if something about Mammoth's power doesn't come across clearly

I'm editing my post right now so Piñata doesn't have to make any edits. I'll put another post at the end though, and it'll be up in the next...half hour maybe, at the longest.
Edit: done ^^

Well, lets finish this thread first before we start a sequel eh?
Btw, Swutch, you got a few days (IC) to cover so I am hoping Jodice wont remain the weakling she is right now by the time she reaches the group.
Oh and what do you guys think we have some fun till then. I was thinking I bring a force out as a 'testing the enemies' strength kinda tactic being involved.
And Crow mate, I am not sure how to make Wolfe react to your character... cause well, I don't know what side Vex is on at the moment.
