All you had to do was ask... >.> It's not like I'm diligently following this thing...

What's a good age for a warrior fresh from the academy? I can't find anything about ages in my books or on the wiki ;.;

And I'm all for being the sniper. If I had a quote it would be, "I'm behind you! by half a mile....... what? It's perfect sniping distance"

Cool. I was hoping someone would play the sniper. @roara: Air support's a bit far afield from what I was going for here, but we can work you in if that's what you want to do. We're certainly going to be fighting enemy aircraft, so it'll probably actually work out better that way. @gg: I would guess that it's between 18 and 20, similar to an Inner Sphere cadet. I don't know for sure either, though.

My knowledge of the MechWarrior universe is limited to the third game... but it should be enough. Sure, count me in.

One of the "canon" members of the unit from the fan fic used a Firemoth, so I'm actually glad somebody brought one in. It's a really good recon Mech. Is Seth's Mech (Nova) considered light, or medium? It's 50 tons, so there are a lot of bigger models out there. As far as you being the only one with a light Mech goes, though... unit diversity is a good thing in this particular instance, and having an edge on the rest of us in speed will allow you to scout ahead and scope out enemy positions, which will obviously be a help.
As for starting the thread... I'm going to wait a bit to allow Eldae, Poptart and Roara to post their characters, as well as anyone else who wants in. Thread will go up either tomorrow or Monday (I don't know if I'll be online over the weekend).

The blackhawk, er, nova is a medium class mech. The supernova actualy gets it's name from being a bigger meaner version of the nova.

not only is it fast (162 kph before it activates the MASC system, 216 kph after... wheeeeeee), but it has an active probe and advanced targeting computer. Small armament though, 2 ER small lasers and a single SRM-6... but it's not supposed to be the one in the middle of a fight XD I love the fire moth ^^

It's one of my favorite Mechs, too. I like how it actually looks like the critter it's named after (could also be what draws me to the Stormcrow).

Sounds good bring air support. I like saying stuff like "This is E-419 on station ready for fire support."

LOL. Well, I've got good news for you then... our first mission, there'll be plenty of opportunities for you to have lines like that.

Just a warning, but the aircraft can't take too many hits from mech class weapons. A lot of enemy forces learned that from me at the wrong side of a daishi......
