The body lay sprawled out on the balcony, unmoving. The armor-gloved hand instinctively moved the head and shoulder to reveal the neck. The hand's owner had removed it's glove and began to press it against the neck just under a single black freckle. The figure removed his hand and, turning the head, placed his hand on the same place on the other side of the neck, just to be sure he wasn't mistaken. A pulse?, the armor clad figure thought to himself.
The body before him was a 23 year old, human male. Although he didn't look like much, he was a medical projidy by the name of Bothrab Vlider. The thing that made this a difficult bounty was that Drakus had no clue who he was searching for. Normal, any bounty that offered as little helpful information as this one, Drakus would turn down in an instant. He liked to know enough to figure out who he was searching for. It wasn't that he was incapable of doing the job, it was simply the more he knew about the job, the less likely he was to be unprepared for the specific situation. If it hadn't been for the 14 Billion Credit Reward, Drakus would've turned down this job as well.
Drakus turned the head back and looked once more at the freckle. Though he wasn't much of a medic himself, Drakus was sure that that freckle was in actuallity, a small bit of skin that was repairing itself from a needle puncture wound. Drakus knew that there was definitely something he wasn't being told. At just that moment, Drakus heard a rustling of leaves in the trees above, which marked the boundaries of the medic's estate. Instinctively, Drakus, without replacing his glove grabbed the body and jumped off of the balcolny. At just that moment he heard a shot from what sounded like a sniper rifle, and saw a puff of smoke. He tried to start his jetpack, but only the right jet went, Drakus was thrusted to the left and, keeping the body on top of him so as not to crush the medic with his heavy armor upon landing. He hit the ground hard breaking his left wrist.where the glove would have met the armor had it not been removed. At first he thought he messed up and should have replaced his glove before jumping, but shortly after,he reassured himself that he wouldn't have made it out of the way in time had he stopped to put it on.
He looked around, and had confirmed that whoever had shot at him had left. It seemed awkward that whoever was behind this would paralyze or incappacitate the medic the first time, and then come back to kill him after the fact. Once again Drakus got the feeling there was something he wasn't being told.
