Donovan scowled, and raced off towards the beach near his home. Hopefully this will give Kaeli enough time to do whatever it is she must. He only hoped this mad dash of his wouldn't end in death. "You'll never catch me, if that's what you plan, filthy pirates!!" He hollered over his shoulder.

Kelli didnt draw her sword for she didnt want to fight, not yet that is. She whistled to Ebony and took the horse by its reins. She her Donovan's voice. She waved her hand and motioned towards Kaeli trying to show him she wasnt going to harm his sister. Before he could see her he made a hasty run towards the beach and pirates."Stupid boy," she mumbled. She gently kicked her horse running after him pulling Ebony behind her. Soon she caught up to him."Here," she yelled pulling the horse close to him for him to ride.

Murdoc Vandal laughed at the foolhardy boy's self-centerdness. "That's not the plan at all, lad," he said in a low voice. Now where had she gone...
Vandal pulled out one of his flintlock pistols and pulled the hammer back, waiting for the silhouetted second rider to turn around. "Harry!" he yelled. "Find the girl, and bring her to the beach. It's time we had a little chat, her and I."

Kelli quickly turned her horse around as she turned she cocked the hammer of gun as well and aimed at the men. It took all but a breath to notice the grimy shorter one was aiming at her she pulled the trigger and shot at Vandal's hand holding the weapon she quickly pulled out her sword.

Murdoc Vandal didn't so much as flinch as the bullet from her shot buried itself into one of his crew's chest. Such sacrifices were necessary, even if they were accidental. He took a shot likewise, and released his cutlass from its scabbard and barked to his crew, "She ain't the one! Do what you will with her!"

Donovan wanted to ask a thousand questions, like why this woman was helping him, but thought better of it. He climbed aboard her horse, riding behind her, and let his canter back to the house. "Who are you and why are you helping me?" -------------------------------------------------- Kaeli sighed as her brother ran in the opposite direction, but had to refrain a squeal of terror as she saw the pirates fan out in her direction- obviously looking for something or someone...she silently thought to herself.
Looking about her, she spied the open door of the blacksmith's hut, and raced towards it. She couldn't stay in the shadows, however, and revealed herself at one point, but quickly darted back into safety. Poor James, the young and sweet smithy, lay in a pool of his own blood. Kaeli crept to the back of the building where she had the best viewpoint and a quick escape if needed.
((think the smithy in the first POTC. something like that with a backdoor))

Kelli turned her horse about in circles surveying the pirates comming their way. She reaches down and pulls a dagger from her boot throwing it killing one pirate between the eyes. "I would be Kelli." She gave him a short introduction. Now wasnt the time to swap life stories.

Murdoc Vandal spied the door of the smithy hanging open, and made his way over, kicking the door in with his cutlass brandished. "Now, missy, there be no reason to be runnin' from me. I ain't aimin' ta kill ye," he said with a grin. not yet, anyway, he thought.

Kaeli didn't answer the man, and held the sword before her as if to ward him off. However, not watching where she was going ended up in disaster. The young girl tripped over a few tin pails, and she went crashing to the ground amid the ruckus.
Oh crap...God help me!! Kaeli couldn't do a thing in her current condition- trapped on the ground surrounded and covered by tin pails that were previously in neat little stacks. She looked up, and, catching the pirate's eye, shivered. The captain of the invading pirate crew was about to chop off her head, she just knew it.
Closing her eyes and covering her head with a pail, she waited for his blade to come at her neck and sever her head. She feigned being afraid, but was instead carefully watching the pirate's feet. It would be a perfect ambush if he would just come a few feet closer....
