Thaxzoy Trista finished studying his spells and watched as a Purple Dragon Knight headed to the door with his shield and sheathed sword. He seemed to be calm, but Trista noticed that his friend faded into the shadows and suspects that something might be going on.

*Zahrah had moved to chat with another man and after a minute or so, her hands were deftly cutting a bag of coins free from his belt. After all, what man was worrying about his money when he had an attractive foreign woman leaning so close to him? However, Zahrah paused a moment and fell silent when she caught sight of Taurëndil moving toward the door, sword and shield in hand. She frowned slightly, not having a good feeling about this... She quickly pocketed the money and started talking again, although she kept glancing at Taurëndil...*

Taurëndil faced the door, pausing. The auras were many, but they were weak - no, wait, there was a strong one. He smiled for a moment, wondering if he would prefer a few strong enemies or many weak ones. Not that it really mattered, since he would have no choice this time.
As the door to the tavern burst open, Taurëndil vaguely noticed that most of the undead had one hand twisted and enlarged into an unnatural claw. Swinging his sword sideways to clear it from its scabbard, flames running along the blade as it was unsheathed, the knight of Ilmater met the press of Banedead, striving to keep them in the doorway and not let them flood past him into the tavern.

*As the tavern door was flung open, Zahrah leapt to her feet, her eyes widening as they focused on Taurëndil. That man is crazier than I thought... Each of her hands drew a dagger in case she should need them to get out of there... and maybe in the confusion she could cut a few more purses loose...*

As Taurëndil fought against the Banedead, striking with his flaming sword, he felt himself slowly being forced to give way. Gritting his teeth, he fought against the undead, unwilling to let them in to get at the others in the tavern. Above the noise of the battle, he heard what sounded like chanting, and felt despair as he saw what looked to be a living human behind the undead. As the chanting abruptly ceased, he felt himself grow weaker, and stumbled back into the inn.

"Taurëndil are you alright? that chanting, that voice it sounded familiar..." Looking at Taurëndil "Im going to silence that voice...I hope to see you later my friend." *vanishes*

Taurëndil struggle to rise to one knee, slicing a Banedead in half as he did so. "Bestow... curse... spell..." he gasped. Channeling some of his holy power granted to him by Ilmater, he swung out at another Banedead, the holy energy smiting the evil creature. He reached for his holy symbol, but before he could pull it out and gesture, two of the undead creatures grabbed him, bearing him to the ground between them.

*Zahrah glanced between the money left unattended and battle that was flooding into the tavern, trying to decide what to do. She made to move for someone's purse but her eyes caught sight of Taurëndil as he was taken down by two of the creatures. I must be out of my mind... Zahrah swiftly moved across the room toward him and quickly plunged a dagger into each of the undead creatures, twisting them into their withered flesh.*

Thaxzoy decided that the people needed help. He held out his hand to one of the banedead and it stopped dead in its tracks unable to move. Then he muttered a few words and turned invisable.

(standing outside) Stareing down a midsized human cleric "So your the one controlling them? Its time for you to learn from your mistake of attacking my friend!" *moving swiftly side to side before swinging his kusari-gama*

As the Banedead dragged Taurëndil down, he noticed Zahrah stabbing both of them, and one of the two stopped moving. Stabbing the one the was still struggling, he looked up just in time to see the cleric cut down by a vicious swing from Ryu. As a moan of dismay want up from the undead, Taurëndil got out his holy symbol, gesturing with it. He stayed concious just long enough to watch the undead start to shamble out of the tavern. Then darkness took him.

*Zahrah briefly glared at the creatures as they began to leave the tavern, not bothering to go after any of them... Someone else could take care of them. Instead, she focused on Taurëndil who lay unmoving... She cursed lightly under her breath.* "That better not have been for nothing..." *Putting her daggers away, she knelt down at his side. She sighed softly in relief when she saw that he was still breathing... Lifting her head, she looked around for someone that could help...*

*Zahrah glanced up at Ryu and nodded.* "He's alive..." *She looked at Taurëndil again as she slowly rose to her feet.* "You should get him to a room where he can rest... Don't want anyone tripping on him now do we?" *She managed a smile although smiling definitely wasn't what she wanted to do. An easy money opportunity and I have to pass it up to help the oh so noble hero who probably would've been fine anyway. Just wonderful...*
