(OOC: yes, Galius had already left the inn.)
Galius headed deeper into Varamen, something calling him there. He watched intently the rooftops, the alleyways. There was no movement, no sound. It was dead silent. As he entered an intersection in the roads, he knew why. He stood, staring at a sight that would send a lesser man running in fear. In front of him stood a creature of massive proportions, a frothing beast of at least 20 feet tall. It howled out like a wolf, and looked at Galius.
"Such a weak and pitiful creature!" The beast proclaimed, "My master will praise me for your head!"
Galius had had enough of this so-called "master." This was getting rediculous....

Carella suddenly turned her head in a seemingly random direction and growled... the demon inside her instantly took over; "This one senses that we have more trouble brewing..."
She turned for the door, then stopped, looking back. "Are you coming or not, angel of death? Perhaps you will find a piece of what you seek here in this next battle..." Of course the demon knew that something was up; angels do not simply come to earth to waltz around and enjoy the view and the peoples, like demons did. They came with a reason, a purpose, and only when they had one... Carella secretly hoped that he would stay here, especially considering that she may have to bring about her full form just in order to face whatever creature this mysterious... Galius was facing...

"Of course I am coming Carella. Servios, I think we will need your skills as well." The reaper had sensed the creature but hadn't reacted. Did he think Galius could handle it alone or was he testing him? Even though Karsten was ready to give control to the reaper, he refused. Karsten could be seen frowning. The reaper wasn't going to help them unless necessary. Karsten knew better than to argue.
"Looks like its only gonna be me this time...", he mumbled to no one in general. "Well, lead the way..."

Servios stood, wearing a puzzling expression on his face. Angel of death?... he has heard legends of similar things, but was this Karsten indeed one of these soul reapers? And apparently the woman, Carella, held some secret as well, but before the ranger had time to contemplate the idea any further Karsten spoke to him telling him that he was needed. He started to question what was going on but decided against it and just shrugged.
"Well let us be off then, I know not where we are going or what we are doing but I sense the woman's urgency and I heard something of a battle, and I am always up for a fight, so lead on." he said with a smile

Galius broke to a dead sprint around the beast's right side. His speed caught the beast of guard. He sliced the beast's leg, and it howled out, sweeping with it's claw. Galius jumped the claw, only to be swatted from the air by the other. He bounced along the ground, skidding a good twenty feet before coming to rest in the dirt. The beast laughed, and then abruptly stopped as Galius kicked to his feet, a smile on his face. He picked his hat up off the ground and placed it back on his head. The beast roared, and lept into the air. For a massive one, it could leap amazingly, and it was coming down right on top of Galius. He stepped to the side and waited for the beast to fall, mocking it. It swiped at him and he ducked it.
"Stop moving you little rat!" it howled.
The beast looked like a werewolf, which explained the howl, but it was massive, and slow. Galius watched for his opening, and the wolf was getting careless. It swiped madly, and finally, it made a mistake. Galius sidestepped its attack, and it was overextended. Galius promptly sliced the beast's arm off. It reeled back in pain, howling out into the now coming night. Galius stepped back as it howled, waiting for it. When the beast stopped, it snarled, its eyes turning red. It roared out, and its arm regrew from the stump, seemingly like nothing had happened.
Galius was caught off guard, and was quickly slammed to the side by the beast, sent hurtling into an outhouse. He slammed through the wood, and laid on the ground on the other side. He coughed, a laugh echoing from the cough. He jumped back to his feet, and cracked his neck. He stepped forward and pulled his bow, the beast charged, and Galius put an arrow between its eyes. It fell to the ground in a pile, laying motionless. Galius put back his bow and pulled his blades again. Stepping back, as not to be caught unready again, the beast laughed.
"Smarter than you look!" He howled, plucking the arrow from his head. Just then, the others arrived, and the beast laughed, "More to the slaughter..."
While the beast was distracted, Galius lept into the air, and by the time it looked back, he had lodged his blades deep into the beasts neck. He lifted himself up, stabbing and slicing into the beasts flesh. It roared out, in absolute agony, trying to shake Galius free. After a few terrorizing seconds, It finally swatted him away. Galius landed on hands, flipping himself to his feet. He readied himself, spitting out blood, as he was sure the others would soon join the fight.

Servios saw Galius furiously slashing and stabbing at the giant thing, this demon beast, and was somewhat suprised when the thing didn't even slow from the wounds. It threw him off and seemed as if it was just injured in the least. The ranger thought of drawing his blades and moving into attack, but it was likely the same would just happen to him, so he instead drew his bow and without waiting for any signal or anything, he let loose a powerful arrow into the beast's neck, and then another that struck him nearly in the same place. He fired a third but the thing swatted this one away in mid flight and had obviously taken notice of him as it was stalking towards him.
Its hand swiped across, about to grasp him as Servios dived aside to avoid it. The attack clipped his legs however and sent him spinning on the ground. He quickly regained his footing and stood, ready to notch another arrow but the thing was attacking again and he did not have time. He slung his bow over his back and drew his long, wicked dagger in a flash, jumping straight up just as the thing's hand came in. It caught him below the waist and lifted him into the air. He stabbed the beast's hand repeatedly with the dagger, but it just snarled through the pain, and started to crush the life out of the ranger's legs.

As soon as the beast came into sight, the reaper came forward taking before Karsten had even reached the beast. Servios had raced ahead to help Galius while he had stayed back as usual still wary of the demon. But now there was a bigger problem at hand. He raced past Carella charging at the beast as it raised its bloody hand to strike at Servios, slammed his shoulder right below its rib cage. If it hadn't been for the extra strength he got with the reaper, he wouldn't have been able to knock the beast back even with his built.
The beast was startled more than hurt and stumbled back.

When Karsten rammed into the demon its gripped loosened on Servios, allowing him to drop to the ground below. He hit the dirt in a roll to absorb the impact and as he came up he let fly his dagger at the startled demon. It hit the thing right under its chin, forcing it to let out another howl and stumble back a little more. It quickly regained its composure though, and leveled its gaze back at the companions. It pulled the dagger out and threw it away, over the nearby buildings and into the night. Servios sighed at that, he likely wouldn't find that dagger again, and he fought much better with his two blades than just his scimitar.
"Your mortal weapons make me laugh," the demon said as he looked over them all, "I barely even feel their sting" and it let out a growl with that. The beast seemed supremely confident, and it also seemed right, Servios noted, for their weapons did not seem to be hurting it much...

The dark elf was sitanding on a nearby roof, "Oh yeah! How the hell is this for sting!" He poured what looked like mead over his sabre and jumped off the building, jamming his sabre deep into the thing's torso. He heard the demon start to scream in pain before he took one hell of a hit, practically flying away. The holy water drenched blade was still sticking out of the demon. "That had better hurt! Dwarven holy water is a b**** to get!"
((For anyone that dosen't know, Dwarven holy water is honey mead. I would have said regular holy water, but it makes more sence for the dark elf to have the dwarven equivalent))

Karsten had never encountered a beast like this before. Galius's strikes alone should have killed a mortal beast. At least after that display, the reaper knew that this was a demon in its pure form. He would need to take extreme measures to combat this evil.
Karsten didn't understand what the reaper had meant by that. On questioning the reaper, he got a reply that shook him. Its time to make a choice Karsten. I require two things from you, your complete trust and the ultimate sacrifice, the acceptance of the fact that you may die in what happens next. Do you accept?
Karsten waited for a dew moments, watching the demon howl in pain as the cleansed blade was driven into the beast by the elf before he was flung away. He knew they would and possibly many more will die if the reaper couldn't take the demon out.
He whispered back his agreement. Smiling at the end, "Will it help to pray?" The others around him must have been extremely confused by his words. The reaper took complete control walking backwards behind Karsten's campanions to shield the body from the demon. He spoke loud enough for Carella and the other three to hear over the shouts of the demon, "Don't let him get to us, at any cost...", as soon as he had said this, the reaper began the transformation.
Karsten had never felt pain like this before. It was as if his body was being burned from the inside. He went down on his knees form the pain, directly behind Carella hoping she would not take advantage of his condition to finish him off. He watched as the skin of his hands started burning and smouldering. He felt as if there was something about to break out of his back. Those near him would have been able to see his skin being pushed out from his skeleton on his back. A moment later two blood splattered white, glowing wings broke out of the skin of his back as he let out a loud scream.
He wasn't ready for what happened next. His vision went bright and he couldn't see anything. Karsten head snapped up with the pain, unable to even scream anymore. His eyes started bleeding and within a few seconds, were burning like the skin on his hands. The reaper knew that Karsten had just lost his eyes forever. They burning holes on his face now were replaced by eyes glowing with the light of the heavens. The reaper was taking a form very much like the demon had taken. The only difference was the demon had killed off its host in the process in order to achieve the power it had now. The reaper had stopped just short of killing Karsten.
It would look as if the reaper was trapped inside a shell which was Karsten's body. Throughout the transformation, the reaper hoped his powerful companions would be able to keep the demon at bay or Karsten would die and maybe even the reaper himself would perish if the demon was powerful enough.
((Eh, I hope I didn't 'control' your characters in any way. If I did, let me know and I will change it. If you wanna post a fight, you can post it for the time frame while this transformation takes place and please don't kill the demon yet! ))

During the transformation, the beast turned to Karsten, going to stop him. This was not the first time this beast had seen a reaper, and it was not about to let the transformation happen. However Galius had other things in mind. Quickly shooting three arrows in succession, Galius put them right on the beasts joints in his legs, the first hit true, the second two were off. The beast stopped to pull them free, and Galius had landed two more where they needed to be. He was firing in a frenzy, getting the beast to pay attention. It quickly turned and howled, hurling a downed piece of wood at Galius. Galius rolled to the side to avoid it, but the beast was already moving toward Karsten.
Breaking into a sprint, Galius put his bow back on his shoulder and pulled his blades. He lept into the air and planted his blades right into the back of the beasts skull, bringing it to the ground. It slammed face first into the dirt in front of Karsten. Rolling forward and leaping from the beast's back, Galius landed behind Karsten just as the transformation completed.

Carella would rather have died than to have to put up with the lights of heaven beaming across her, her skin burning slightly just from its contact. Carella was glad her two halves were now becoming one, instead of having to create such bodily rape in order to accomplish such means... Rather than wait and make herself useless, however, she decided to do something...
Climbing the wall near her, she raced across the rooftops with ease; her demon-part was as old ass she was, a feline-arachnid flavored blend. That allowed her to climb walls and strike with the force of nature's two deadliest predators... Leaping from the closest rooftop that she could get, Carella extended two bone blades from her arms, the weapons tearing cleanly from her flesh on outwards like a pair of skinless wings, slicing easily into the hardened and hairy flesh on the back of her opponent. The being howled at the attack, but she paid no heed... her demon side was more in control now than even before. Her fangs sprung out as she opened her mouth, they sinking into a bare spot on the demon's back, injecting some of her deadly poison directly into its system. It wouldn't kill the beast, but it would cause excruciating pain and suffering, possibly even, if she were lucky, paralysis.
Retreating for the moment, she needed to recharge those sacks she had for the poison, as using them had drained them completely, even from the repeated flailings she had to dodge and the beating of her body about as she'd hung on. Slinking back as the beast turned towards her, she saw that the reaper was done with his playfulness. Now things would get serious, and fast; Carella would take the unholy beast down herself, but she was only a D2-class, hardly anything compared to what must be a B-class demon that stood before her. She would need his help, however little she liked to admit as such, in order to do so...
"Reaper" she called out mentally, "I believe your time has come. I and the others will distract this... thing... until you feel ready to rid the world of it. Frankly, I only am doing this because such kinds should not walk this world so openly; please keep that in mind. This is obviously a summoned demon, as no one from such a high class would ever stick its head out so far... Even her mental voice was like nails on a chalk board, but unlike some, Carella's demon was one to keep its promises...

Karsten was gone. He was deep down dealing with all the pain his body was experiencing while the reaper concentrated on the demon. Not completely withheld by the restrictions of Karsten's body anymore, he would be now able to deal with this demon. He looked up to see Carella hanging on to the demon giving him more time to power up. He heard her speak to him and could sense her anticipation in her voice. Get of his back...now! He commanded her as he rose a few inches above the ground. He raised his hands up to his waist and closed his fist. There was a flash of light from his fist before Karsten's hand lit up with a white fire. His eyes emanated a similar flash before lighting up displaying the power at the command of the reaper.
He looked at the demon struggling to get Carella off its back occasionally making contact. "Thank you", he spoke to the others in an unusually hoarse voice. The reaper realized he had done a bit more damage to the body than intended. Karsten would be experiencing tortures nothing less than those of hell right now. But that was the sacrifice, the price. But this wasn't time to think about him right now.
The reaper leaned forward slightly charging through the others faster than a human eye could follow. He didn't need the weapons yet. He had to break the shield the demon would undoubtedly have on. As he reached below the imposing form of the demon, he hoped Carella had gotten off. He raised himself upwards taking hold off the neck, the skin sizzling in his light of his hands. he was surprised to find that the shield was stronger than he had been expecting.
"Strike when I tell you, not a moment before", he shouted to the others over the howl of the beast. He raised the demon off the ground, and slammed him into the ground. Before the demon had the time to react, he slammed his hand down in the middle of the massive chest, putting his other hand on the one now planted in the demon. Channeling the energy of the light, his eyes glowing even more fiercely, as he burnt through the invisible shield, leaving his body now vulnerable to mortally fatal attacks. The demon gave a loud scream mixed with something more sinister as he felt his shield disappear under the him. Knocking the reaper back with a swing of its hand, it got back up on its feet, shaking and fully aware he was now unguarded against mighty warriors in front of him. The reaper had been knocked back to the group. Stopping himself before any kind of impact near the group he spoke. "Demon, I will let these warriors be your doom for I am not one to break rules...", he spoke in the same hoarse voice loudly. He landed on the ground and looked back at Servios and Galius. His eyes flashed again for a moment and soon afterwards, their weapons, the blades, the bows and the arrowheads began to glow with a dim light. "I have done everything I am allowed. Its up to you now." He searched Karsten's memory for something and spoke after a noticeable pause. "Its hunting season..."

Servios stood in awe of the whole display. The transformation, the complete dominance over the demon, the power illuminating from Karsten... it was all a great display of amazing powers that the ranger had never seen before. Then Karsten spoke to them, and their weapons radiated a brilliant light. Servios could feel the hunger of his arrows now, could feel his sword calling for the taste of demon flesh. "It's hunting season" he heard Karsten say to him, and that brought a smile to the ranger's face.
Servios whipped his bow down from his back and took aim at the things chest, but its hand came swiping across at him and he leveled it at that incoming target instead and let fly. The arrow struck the beast and how it howled, much different than the sounds that had come before. He locked another arrow and this time fired at the thing's chest. It gave another primal roar of pain, and Servios used that to shoulder his bow and draw his scimitar, for he had lost his dagger, and he charged in the the beast, leaping out at it sword above his head in a reverse hold. He landed right at the things stomach and tore it open with his enchanted sword. He took a great hit for this daring move however, and was thrown against the wall, connecting badly with his shoulder and coming down to the ground on one knee near the dark elf.
"Now we're having fun" Servios said, tossing a smile to the uncanny elf...

*gotcha*
Carella let out a wicked smile... even though she didn't, or rather couldn't, have such power emanating from her 'weapons', she could still exact extreme pain with her unholy arsenal. Without another word, she dashed forward, noticing that without its shield the monster had gained some speed... not enough to get in her way but enough to cause trouble for the human kinds around her. "Now things get fun" her demon side stated, licking her lips in anticipation as her gravelly voice echoed.
Racing for the legs, she turned, slashed, then turned again, dodging an attempted stomping... even if it had connected, she would most likely have been able to deflect it, due to her demon's innate strength. Slashing into the shins, she planted off her own blade as her claws dug in, pushing herself upwards as she dodged attack after attack, aiming for the beast's now-vulnerable head...
