"Thanks for that." She said, walking off to follow him. As she walked past the bandit she looked over and said, "If you were trying to impress anyone it didn't work." And kept on walking.

Mammoth laughed at Luna and then turned to Talin.
"So ya know the way? Good, I was just guessing." Mammoth nodded, allowing Talin to lead the way once the interruption was over.
Mammoth had lots of energy left, but he wasn't sure about the rest of the group. He had broken a sweat against the woman earlier, she tested his resolve, but he was far from tired. If they were going to camp, now would be the time, but he'd leave that to Talin, since he knew the area better.

Jodice fumed; how dare he just walk off and leave her as such! She at least demanded that he take her prisoner, so she could at least have some honor left after her defeat. And that elf... oh, now she was pissed. But when she tried to move, it burned even worse than her anger. She was tired, winded, and now alone. Sitting down, she began to cry a little. "Mother... why weren't you there when I was a child? Why did you just leave me with father... I know if I had you, I would never lose... I'm... I'm too weak... So I have to get stronger... but..."
Her anger disipated with her pointless mumblings... her mother wasn't coming back to teach her anything, her father had abandoned her at the first opportunity, and her foster-mother was a blond who cared more about her father than her. She'd worked to earn her title, and now it was all in tatters before her... Would she quit now?
'No...' she told herself, forcing herself to her feet as the parade of weirdos were now a good ways off. Maybe if she watched that man, she'd find a weakness in him, and the next time she fought him she'd win. It was her only option, and the only way to recover her 'Undefeated' title... Jodice had no other choice left. She would follow them, if only at a safe distance and if only to defeat that one man... once that was sated she could bring back her title and still feel good about it.
Peeking out just to make sure, she started off in the general direction that the group had gone, not exactly sure if they were actually moving in that exact direction or not... She couldn't face any of them, not in her condition, not until she found some food at least. She wasn't too well off at the moment, but she was still alive, and that's all that really mattered to her... even though she limped and gasp every few feet, Jodice pushed on, refusing to give up now... she would get stronger, she would beat him some day, she would, and she swore to it that she would make it come true, even if it took her entire lifetime to do so...

As Arthos recovered from the effects of the curse... yet again. His mind was trying to comprehend what had happened. It didn't make sense from any point of view. His thoughts were interrupted as the large human and the women, the devine warrior started fighting each other. As he climbed back to his feet, he watched the fight carefully, forwning as the assassin made an offer to join in.
He was beginning to believe these were no innocents and would reap him precious souls. But he wouldn't act until he was sure. He could take a chance like this one with such strong spirits. The women reminded him of someone from his past. He knew it couldn't be her but their fighting styles were too smilar for it to be a coincidence. Besides he had to pay for the mistake he had just made. Maybe saving these lives would mellow the effects
He walked between the still standing woman and the group of people walking off a few feet away. "It is admirable how you two fight but you would hardly want to waste all the talent, would you? Your souls are worth more to me than they are to you probably, you have certainly shown you don't value your lives much. So unless you plan to rot in hell for eternity you won't pull a stunt like that again." He was looking at Mammoth while he said it. He turned to the woman and gazed at her intensly for some time and then started to walk away.
Now he was imagining things. She DIDNT look like her, he tried to convince himself.

Mammoth stopped, turning around and glaring at the man who spoke so freely.
"Is that a threat?" He said, turning from the advancing group and walking up to the man who thought it was his place to interject. Mammoth walked right up to the man, standing not but a foot away from him. He was furious.
"Bold words for someone killin' a man who was running. That bandit was a rookie, at best, it was probably his first attempt. You killed him while he was backing away, showing you have no honor. That man might have even learned his lesson, and moved on... If anyone has wasted talent, its you." Mammoth spat out, his voice low and booming, his eyes glaring.
Something about the man made Mammoth think that he was in over his head. This man seemed almost demonic. His power wasn't human, not in the slightest. Mammoth hadn't felt this in a long time... Fear. Something about him, something about the way he even carried himself, he wasn't natural... But, fear was not a problem, Mammoth knew this. Fear makes you think, and if you can overcome it, and think with a level head, fear can be your greatest ally. He was just another man who was a problem, like the many he had faced before, thats what he told himself. What this man was, Mammoth didn't know, but he wouldn't fight him here...
"You disgust me." He said, his voice and body unwavering, despite his mind's uneasiness. "Say nothing of my soul, I doubt you have your own."
He stepped back, keeping his eyes locked on the man, and then turned around to return to the group. He kept his head about him, if the man moved toward him, he would hear it, and be prepared to defend himself.

Pinata watched these goings-on with great interest. So the woman he had saved from thugs earlier was actually the Great River Bandit, and likely could have handled herself... and this large man, though no doubt gigantic, was no half-giant. His speech was too cultured for that... Pinata's old teacher had sounded like an idiot when he spoke, though he had actually been quite intelligent.
He didn't like the fact that the bandits had gotten away... rookies or not, he preferred his enemies to be in a condition that ensured they never got back up. At least the dwarf's taken care of, he thought, though there was something about the man who had killed the dwarf that made him uneasy too.
"Thanks for the help," he said to Arthos as he walked past, an obvious difference of opinion between himself and Mammoth being displayed.
He stopped in front of Jodice, who was still sitting where Mammoth had left her, and said, "The big one would prefer it if I killed you with honor, which is the only reason you keep your head tonight. If I see you again, you die, even if I have to stab you in the back. Just because we don't lower ourselves to the ultimate evil of capitalism doesn't mean we're all good, after all." He spat, aiming to hit her with it.
(OOC: Thieves piss Pinata off... in fact, he has a problem with the concept of money in general. Sorry if I went too far.)

Talin and Fin watched the whole display, observing all of the players in this scene. This group was unstable at best, they were more likely to be killed by in-fighting rather than by the upcoming war. Already they were fighting eachother and they had been together merely hours. In any case, he nodded at Mammoth as he came back to the group, more or less agreeing with him about his words towards Arthos.
"Let's waste no more time with petty arguments and battles of pride" Talin said as he looked over the group. Not one of them looked tired, but with tempers flaring he didn't want anymore problems caused. "We will travel for a few more hours before we stop for the night. If we leave at the rise of the sun we will be at the King's outpost by nightfall and you will have all the battles you wish." he smiled at them each as he turned around and picked up the hike once more.

Pinata nodded to Talin and fell into step behind him, keeping a watchful eye for further bandit trouble... if another group gave the party trouble, he didn't intend to let any of them leave alive.
"When we make camp, I volunteer to keep watch," he said.

He barely controlled himself from reaching out and tear apart this man into pieces. As he walked away from, he thought about what he had said about the dwarf. He was right in saying that they were rookies and hadn't commited a crime yet. That is why the curse had been triggered.
He looked as the rest of the group went past him. He stepped away from the group into the forest yet again tracking the group as it travelled further. He would watch this group closely for more than one reason.

Mammoth spat on the ground, knowing Talin was right.
"Ahhh..." He grunted, "You're right."
He kept moving, staying with the group, although his mind raced about the man he met earlier. Mammoth had a bad feeling about him... and rarely were his feelings wrong.
He smiled when the mage offered to keep watch.
"Fine with me. I'm huntin' us down somethin' to eat when we take a break."

Jodice had recovered faster than she expected, the minor bruising that had accompanied the wind that had gotten knocked out of her earlier barely existent now. She too took to the forest, that faint glow still in her eyes. Her heart at the moment was hell-bent on revenge, on taking back the pride that had been stolen from her. Her childish side was gone now, along with its playful ambitions; in its place, a hatred, or rather extreme annoyance, existed, wanting only to satisfy itself with seeing that big lug fall. She looked back in her memory as she wound through the forest, trying to think of some way through that armor into the flesh, where it would start to hurt...
She kept her senses about her, making sure her sounds were quiet as a mouse, that her scent was downwind so as not to be spotted as easily as last time. Still, she was sure she would be found out eventually, and even if she found her quarry, Jodice would most likely have to use her strongest attacks to defeat him... and if necessary, kill him. Jodice wasn't going to let that man humiliate her like he had again; even if she needed to sacrifice herself, she would at least die in a fight instead of running away... The glow in her eyes, although she could not see it, sparkled slightly brighter with that resolve, disappearing altogether afterwards as she continued onwards...

"Anyone have some idea of how long until we get there? I wasn't quite paying attention....." It was obvious that she was bored, based on the fact that she was juggling a trio of daggers that she seemed to pull out of nowhere.

"Tomorrow night, according to Talin," Pinata informed the woman who was juggling daggers. It occurred to him that he hadn't been properly introduced to some of these people yet, and he said, "I'm J... I'm Pinata. I didn't catch your name." He mentally kicked himself for his momentary lapse of self-control... he had almost used his real name, and if the wrong person recognized that it would get him killed.

"Speakin' of that. We need some proper introductions." Mammoth said, laughing. He slapped pinata on the back, "Fear not J--Pinata..." he mocked jokingly. "I'm Mammoth." He said, offering his hand.
"So don't be shy, who are the rest of you shmucks!?" Mammoth said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Well, for those of you that don't know, I'm Luna. I specialize in killing things. Mostly undead actually." The daggers had seemingly, and actually, vanished. Leaving the others to wonder where they went.
