(I sent you a PM trying to explain it to you... in case you didn't get it, it's really very simple. Each RP gets three threads on this site... the RP itself, which goes in this section -- though not always in this board, as it's disallowed to post, for example, an X-Men RP in Original Themes; the OOC (out of character) discussion thread, which goes in the RPG Discussions board; and a thread for posting characters, which goes in the Character Profile Board. Hope this helps, and yes, I do plan to join.)

Talin was back in his room now, packing his things. He would be leaving within the next day or two he had decided. The snow had started to fall outside and if he did not leave he would have to wait until the spring. It was likely that while on the road he would get caught in some terrible storms, but he was no stranger to the road, and minded not the weather.
The elf looked out his window... The snow was falling heavily now, and he just stared, watching the flakes fall to the ground, covering the worn pathways of the city. He thought then of the road that lie ahead, of the trials he would soon face. For the first time he started to have doubts. Perhaps he should wait until the spring, for these lands were known for their harsh winters.
He heaved a great sigh, setting his pack down upon a nearby chair. Maybe he should go for a walk... yes that would be nice. Talin put on his belted scimitars, threw his cloak over his shoulders and exited his room. He wrapped his cloak tightly about his shoulders as the young warrior walked the streets. The bitter cold winter was certainly setting in early this year, and that did not bode well for his journey...

Sitting in the tavern, Luna was waiting on her informant. She was tipping her chair and keeping balanced by keeping her feet on the table. She watched the two men across the bar arguing and expected a brawl to break out soon.
She figured she may as well get comforable and removed her feet from the table. It rocked back down and the front legs hit the ground with a dull thud that turned a few eyes to her. She waved over one of the servers and ordered a glass of redwine.
She sighed as she sat there thinking, how long until that idiot leaves hiding?

Mammoth entered the city from the harsh winter, his armor caked with the snow of a blizzard, and his beard and hair covered in it. His deep blue eyes peered out from the horrid appearance, and glared as he entered a border town in Korgasa. His massive sword hung on his back in a sheath, and his armor clanged as he walked into the small town. A nearby man, sitting on a bench out front of a bar looked at the man who entered the cities walls and laughed.
"Looks like you've had quite the journey, Young man!" He yelled out.
Mammoth looked over and grinned, "Yeah, you could say that..."
The man waved for Mammoth to come into the bar, and he did. Once inside he began brushing the snow from his face. The tavern wasn't filled with too many people, and he promptly sat down at the bar. Ordering his favorite drink, a scotch, Mammoth paid the old man and looked around, there wasn't much to look at, only a few people fighting and arguing. But a sign requesting soldiers on the wall did catch his eye, and it would require him to go further into Korgasa to learn more. His facial expression did not change. The deadpan expression remained as he contemplated assisting this nation against those he had travelled from. The harsh neighbors to Korgasa were none to friendly. Mammoth had killed numerous men who tried to accuse him of crimes, and attempted to wrongfully imprison him. Whether this was the mistake of a select few, or the collective attitude of the neighboring kingdoms, didnt matter. They had made an enemy, and were Korgasa to need him, Mammoth would offer his services.
But first, he was going to finish his scotch, and enjoy the show...

Needing to get out of the unforgiving blizzard, Talin turned down an alley and headed towards a nearby tavern. As he neared the tavern he was startled as a door burst open to the side of him. The elf had to skip off to the side as a man with a look of fear in his eyes literally leaped out of the doorway in the street, his robes dragging on the snow behind him.
"She's here! How could she have found me?! I must have been given up!" He said in a very flustered manner as he scanned the alley way. He just seemed to noticed the elf standing before him and gave a startled yelp. Before Talin could even say a word he was thrown against the hard stone of the building he stood by, hitting his head hard.
"If I ever get my hands on that rat..." the mage said angrily as he ran off down the street and past the tavern. At least that was all Talin heard him say, as he slumped to the ground, losing consciousness from force of the spell that had thrown him against the wall.

Soon the two began to fight, drawing in their buddies in. Luna just watched as as they started. Eventually one of them managed to shove another out of the group to land on Luna's table, shattering her glass of wine as well as the table.
She stood up and walked over to the one she saw push the man into her table. She tapped him shoulder, suddenly seeming very small compared to the brute. He turned to her, "What?" In responce she gave him a right hook that litterally sent him flying. She walked to another table and sat down, ordering another glass while the men stood there stunned.

Mammoth laughed as the woman wailed on one of the men, sending him flying across the room. He let out a deep belly laugh and then went back to drinking his scotch.
He only quipped "Remind me not to get on her bad side!"
Looking over at the man who was stirring from his slap-upside-the-head induced stupor, his buddies began to help him up, looking to get out of there after such a pounding. Mammoth chucked again as the men backed out of the area. He leaned back and told the bartender he would be paying for the lady's drink. He figured he should pay for the entertainment he just witnessed.
Once the tender took the drink over, Mammoth went back to drinking his scotch. He looked out the window as the storm began to kick up. It was quite a storm, nothing more terrible than his hometown, but nonetheless bad. He figured it would be best to stay here until it dies down. Once the storm died down he'd start moving toward the center of the kingdom, and enlist his services...

After sitting for a while, Luna noticed someone walk out of the tavern in a hurry, and using some powerfull magic to knock some poor elf halfway across the street to his a building. She took a good look at him and recognised that this was the mage she was hunting!
She ran out after him, quiet as a shadow, with her katana appearing in her hand. He's not going to get away this time! Just to make sure he wasn't going to ge away, the shadows near his feet reached up and grabbed him.

He knew he must stay awake. If he fell unconscious in this weather, he would surely be lost to the cold. His vision was blurred though, partly from the force of the magical blow, disorienting him, and partly from his head smacking against that wall. He tried to get his bearings, but the world was spinning. He could feel his outer extremities going numb, and knew he must get inside soon, for the snow was falling heavily and he would soon be buried if he did not move.
He fell forward onto his hands and knees, crawling for the door. At least he thought he was for he still couldn't see straight. Talin just let out a grunt and pushed himself up to his feet, leaning against the alley wall for support. That was some strong magic indeed...

She felt kind of bad about leaving the elf over there in the snow, but still, her target was right there in front of her! No doubt stunned by the dark shapes that had reached up to grab him. She was almost there, she jumped, raising the katana above her head. She began the decent and swung the katana to cleanly split the man in half.
She pulled out a pendant and it glowed with a reddish light before the gemstone in the center died down to a deep crimson color. "He must have been fairly evil to get that color......" She said, putting the thing back in her pocket. With her job done, she just had to wait until the next check in.
She dispelled the katana and pulled the trenchcoat tighter around her to ward off the cold. She walked back and saw that the elf was already making his way back to the tavern. She walked over to him and asked, "Do you need any help?"

Talin looked up at the sound of the woman's voice, and saw her standing in front of him. His vision had started to clear, everything starting to come into focus finally with the mage's magic wearing off. He shook his head, warding off the last spells of dizziness and stood up, pushing himself off the wall.
"Thanks, but i seem to have my bearings now" he choked out through chattering teeth. "A rather rude man seemed to have been in a bit of a hurry, almost got me killed... I should rather like to repay him" the elf said with a grim face. "Didn't happen to see anyone else out here, did you miss?"

She chuckled nervously, "No, I hadn't...." Last thing she needed was someone in town blurting about her being a murderer. The corpse was a good distance away, and even so, there wasn't much of a chance she would be accused. She didn't even have a weapon.
"Anyway....I hope you find him!" She walked back into the tavern and took a seat near the window, just watching the snow fall outside.

Had he had his wits about him, Talin might have detected the lie. As fate would have it though, he did not, and so only smiled and nodded, thanking the woman for her offer. He gave one last glance around to see if he could see the man anywhere near, then decided it would be better to get inside and shelter himself from the bitter cold. He saw the kind woman off at a table, but a more imposing figure came into his view as he scanned the bar.
Talin had met with a tribe of barbarians during his travels, and knew well enough what they looked like, but the man seemed out of place here in the city. Nevertheless he seemed to be kind enough, and he certainly wasn't causing any trouble, so Talin did not pay him much heed other than to study him for a few moments. Then the elf went to sit down at the bar, giving a nod to the tavern master, whom he knew well enough.
"Good day Bill, just water for me tonight" he said while rubbing the remaining snowflakes from his hair and brushing them from his cloak. "I shan't be staying long, just enough to warm myself up" and the bartender offered him a knowing nod and a smile at that, handing the young elf his water and moving on to wait on the other customers.

Mammoth was curious, the woman had a zeal he hadn't seen in many as she charged out the door after the mage. Something told him there was more to her than meets the eye. He would have to keep his look out. But the weakened elf, pounded by the blast, was what he was focused on. The poor man seemed to be taken aloof by the blow.
Mammoth rose from his chair, shifting his shoulders as the now melting snow fell from his plate armor to the ground. Looking around for a mop, finding one, and quickly cleaning the mess from the floor. Tossing the mop back to the corner, he stepped outside, looking around. Checking to ensure the elf would survive, he turned his attention back to the direction the woman had gone, as she was walking back.
That mage couldn't have gone far...
His body relatively impervious to the cold, Mammoth made his way down the road, in the direction that the woman had bolted. Within a few blocks, he found the mage, split cleanly in two.
Not even a notch on the bone... She struck hard, and with somethin' not crafted by hand.
Turning around, he began to walk from the corpse, realizing he may be accused of the murder if he stayed too long. He feared little however, his claymore would have made a much different cut were it him. Returning to the tavern, he saw the elf ordering water. Elves... They always made him laugh.
However, Mammoth knew to keep his eye out. The woman undoubtedly knew he traced her steps and found the corpse, and he suspected she was a skilled assassin to do so with so little time and effort needed. If she felt she was compromised, Mammoth could become her next target. He would need to watch her. Taking his seat near the elf, he rumbled out in the low growling voice of his "You a'ight there, bud?"
