"Heh. You're not alone then. I'm the craziest person in this town so surprising ideas are quite common when I'm around." *She grinned slightly, shaking her head.*

Fahne chuckled, "you must be a pretty interesting person."

*Rayna laughed a little, running a hand through her hair.* "Crazy people usually are. So... Where ya from?"

"um.." *oh no! Where should I be from?!* "I'm from Milwaukee" *I always like that name..I wonder where it is though...* he nodded, "it is a nice little town."

*Rayna raised an eyebrow at that. He certainly seemed a little uncomfortable with what he said... She couldn't help but wonder why. However, she didn't comment.* "Are you planning on living here then or are you just here for a short time?"

"I'm really not sure. This is a nice little place, but there is a possibility that I won't be able to stay that long, though I doubt it."

*That answer confused Rayna a little but she decided not to question it in case it was something personal. After all, she had only just met the man. She didn't have much right to be poking about in his issues.* "Well... It's good to see a new face around, even if it does turn out to be for only a short time. Where are you staying?"

"I'm staying wherever I can find a place." he answered simply since he had actually been staying on the roof of the church.

*Rayna's eyes softened slightly at that. However, before she could say anything, another voice spoke up.*
"Who's your friend here, Rayna?"
*Rolling her eyes a little, Rayna turned to look at her mother who had once again appeared near the altar.* "Oh hey, mom. This is Fahne. Fahne, this is my mother." *Rayna's mother gave the man a brief nod and a smile.*
"Nice to meet you, dear. Did I hear you correctly? About where you were staying? Forgive me but I couldn't help but overhear the last bit of your conversation."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." he nodded, and halfed bowed to her, "and yes, you heard correctly, currently, my place of residence is wherever I can find."

*Rayna raised an eyebrow at her mother, wondering just what she was thinking.*
"Well you seem like a sweet boy... Can't have you just wandering around now can we? Now let's see... You could ask the church for some help... They're always finding cheap places for people to live... Or... Our house is rather large. We were going to start renting out the basement. If you can't find a place, you're welcome to stay there for free until you get back on your feet. Rayna's music stuff is in one room of it but in the other rooms there's a bed, bathroom, and tv along with a back door so that you don't even have to come through the upstairs part of the house if you want your privacy. Just suggestions of course but I'd hate to see you staying in some awful hotel room or something."
*Rayna just stared at her mother, wondering if she had completely lost her mind. But she seemed quite confident with her decision to offer their home.*

"I couldn't possibly stay with you. Saying the church would help was more than enough, there's no need to offer your home as well." he smiled lightly, " I'll be perfectly fine."

"Are you sure? Well, let me give you our address, just in case you do end up needing some place."
*She looked to Rayna, who, being a singer/songwriter, always had pen and paper. Hesitantly, Rayna pulled out her small notepad and pen, handing it to her mother. While her mom gave Fahne their address and phone number, Rayna spotted the choirmaster enter the church, along with his three children who were in the teen choir with Rayna. As they filed into the pews designated for the choir, along with two or three more teens that showed up for practice, Rayna looked to both Fahne and her mother, taking her notepad and pen back after her mom had ripped out the sheet with the info on it and handed it to Fahne. As she pocketed her things again, Rayna spoke.* "Excuse me but I have to go sing my praises." *She rolled her eyes a little before looking to Fahne.* "Don't feel as though you have to leave because we're practicing. I probably cut into your time to look around so feel free to stay as long as you want."

He put their information in his pocket, and thanked her mother, "I won't leave so soon. I'd actually like to hear a little bit of the choir's singing."

*Rayna laughed a little.* "We're not so bad... as long as you're not around for my solo." *She shook her head lightly with a grin.*
"Oh shush, Rayna. You know that's not true. Now go practice. I've got work to do. Once again, nice meeting you, Fahne."
*With that, Rayna's mother left, heading for the church office. Rayna simply sighed and rolled her eyes, and, with one last smile at Fahne, hurried to the rest of the choir. It wasn't long before their usual organ player was seated at the organ and practice began. For the first two songs their voices all pretty much blended so that one wasn't too distinguishable from the others. But the third song, there was a descant (or a different, high part besides the melody for those of you that don't know the term)... Because there were only two sopranos, Rayna being the stronger of the two, Rayna sung the descant alone, her voice high above the rest though soft and never shrill so that she didn't set everyone off. That was probably the only part of church that Rayna really enjoyed... singing beautiful music in a beautiful place where she could be heard.*
