*The golden grasses rippled and swayed lightly in the gentle breeze that flowed through the central courtyard of the Carysian Enclave... The yellow-green leaves of the trees that lined the walls were rustling softly, barely audible over the murmurs of the students and masters that walked through the halls inside... And sitting beside an elaborate stone fountain in the center of all of this, Carys Jorunn heard it all. Her eyes were closed as she meditated, basking in the peace of the bright summer day.
It was unknown to the Carysian Master just how much longer this peace would last... They had been lucky this far... Rehema had avoided the notice of the Republic for many years... and avoided the notice of those of a more unsavory nature. However, this time of being blindly ignored was at a close. Rehema's senator had just been elected and the rural planet was now officially a member of the Republic. Already, Rehema's small spaceport, which had formerly held just two landing pads, was growing rapidly, and a new ship was now a common sight instead of just the old, familiar traders.
These thoughts had occupied much of Carys' time recently, and she found herself needing to meditate more and more frequently. Today, though, she was drawn from her peaceful reflection as her ears caught the sounds of footsteps in the tall grass. She didn't open her eyes, remaining perfectly still as she waited for the other to speak...*

((Time to copy your style kait.))
*Walking quietly through the tall grass, as to not disturb her master, Lillith slowly approached the meditating woman. her skin glistened in the strong ray's of sun that bathed the area in a golden-hue, a sense of calm filling her as the light touched her face and the rest of her body. Almost every contour of her face was touched by the sun's warm golden ray's.
Now, Lillith was very polite, especially to Cary. She held more respect for her then even any of the Jedi at the old temple, more respect for her then even the greatest master that ever lived. She took a seat in front of her master and looked up at, no to her. She held a small basket of assorted plants, and assorted stones and gems. Things she was sent out to gather. She coughed softly, just attempting to make her prescense known to the one she admired so much.*

*Carys was tempted to smile, but refrained as her young padawan attempted to get her attention. She knew who it was without looking. She felt that this was an advantage that she must have over the Jedi. To know and love people so deeply made them almost instantly recognizable to her through the Force. She wasn't sure if this was just her gift or if others of her Knights could do it as well, but she knew that she had never done such before she met Mical. So to her, this gift was definitely something born of love, not the mindless Jedi lack of emotion. She still didn't open her eyes to look at the girl as she finally spoke.* "Is there something you need, Lillith?"

*The Twi'lek girl bowed to her master, her lip's parting to allow her sweet voice to be un-caged.* "My task is complete master, the dispute has been settled..." *She say's in her sweet softly toned voice. She remained were she was on the ground, waiting for her master to stop meditating, but she did not desire her to become disturbed by her prescense.* "Do you wish my leave?" *She asked curiously.*

*Carys finally opened her eyes to look at her young padawan.* "No, I wish for you to give me details. How did you handle the situation?" *She offered her a warm smile, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. After all, when testing someone, it is best if they forget they are being tested...*

*A smile touched Lillith's lip's as she looked up at her master and began answering the question.* "Well....Mr. Koto's of the Koto's family, as you know, had blamed Mr. H'Vek of the H'vek family of stealing bantha, and assorted other animal's for their Pasture." *The young padawan pauses breifly, to catch her breath, but continueing she said.* "The man was quite certain he had seen a group of men, accompanying H'Vek, in his northern pasture, loading up prized animal's." *The padawan paused once again, catching her breath and thinking thing's over carefully. She was certain she had this down, but some doubt crossed her mind.*
"Now, as you know, H'Vek never travel's without his medical droid accompanying him, and this droid can only be wiped by someone from this enclave. When I checked the Droid's memory core, I found out that not only had H'Vek NOT been in Mr. Kotos's north pasture, he had been in bed all night suffering from an illness. I did however find the reason why his herd disapeared..." *She begin's to finish, pausing once more to catch her breath and keep up with the retelling of what had happened.* "It seem's several Kath Hound's had broken through Mr. Kotos's fence and attacked his herd, dragging all but one of the caracasses away to feed their young, I informed him of the dealing's, and he sent out for a small squad to rectify the situation." *The nervous girl stopped in her retelling, pleased that she had done the right thing.* "Although...I find it quite odd that the Hound's broke through a Fence such as that...could it have been that possibly Mr. H'Vek was involved with it?"

*Carys considered this for a moment, thinking carefully about her padawan's recitation of the story as well as the information she already knew about the involved parties.* "Anything is possible. H'Vek is a slippery man and hard to read... And he covers his tracks well. Even if he was involved, I doubt that you would find any way to prove it. You did well in remembering the medical droid, and I think it was the perfect solution to the situation. I'm proud of you."

*Lillith smiled, her usualy luke-warm smile.* "Thank you master..." *she said admiringly at Cary. Her usual demeanor was alot bubblier, but today it seemed as if she had something on her mind, although it was probably a simple worry as per usual.* "Actually, I do beleive that there is a possibility that, maybe Mr. Koto's planned for the fence's shutdown so that the Kath Hound's would attack his herd, its possible he did it to blame H'Vek himself for causing it. Thought, this is highly debatable."
*The padawan finnaly relize's she should propably leave her master to her meditation and begin's to stand.* "I will leave you know, so that you may continue your meditation in peace master..."

*Carys sighed softly, rising to her feet.* "Unfortunately, I don't think I can find much more peace at the moment. I've spent enough time here as it is." *Her calm eyes settled on her padawan.* "So tell me, what do you plan to do with the rest of your day, now that you have accomplished your mission?"

*Lillith thought for a moment. She really hadn't planned to do anything after her task was complete, so she had to ready answer for her master.* "I...really haven't thought of anything to do yet..." *She replied weakly, looking up at Cary through admiring eye's.* "I was going to just go for a nice ride through the plain's...R9 fixed up my speeder."

*Carys nodded slowly.* "It sounds like you could use a break, but I would advise you to practice your lightsaber forms later on... That's something that you should be doing daily now. Besides, it tends to be a good stress reliever..." *She smiled a little, but then paused to look at her padawan carefully.* "Speaking of which... You seem on edge today... Is there something you wish to talk about?"

"I'm just worried...." *She replied truthfully, continueing to look into her master's warm gaze.* "Rehema was just indicted into the republic...we're no longer that little planet noone care's about. I feel that it's going to bring alot of troublesome types here...sith...jedi...alot of types...." *she said, returning to her thoughts breifly.*

*Carys nodded again.* "This has occupied my thoughts as well... However, I know that it does us no good to dwell on it. We can't change it. Besides, perhaps Rehema will benefit from becoming a part of the Republic. If any major crisis hits the planet, we now have someone to call on for aid. In any case, all we can do is be prepared. Many things will change for us, but as long as we can still do our duty and protect these people to the best of our ability, then we'll make it through. Our teachings and our principles will not change, only the planet that we serve."

((Sorry it's taken me so long. I was off for a while but I'm back so, hope this is acceptable.))
Conrad was making his way to the Dining Hall from the Archives when he noticed Carys and Lillith and decided that his stomach could wait. Walking relatively slowly into the Courtyard, Conrad approached Carys and Lillith and bowed.
"I trust I find you both well? It's near lunch time and I was wondering if I might accompany two lovely ladies to the Dining Hall."
Conrad sensed an uneasy feeling and added...
"Or perhaps a word on what the troubling matter is would be more appropriate."
((I hope this is alright.))

*Carys smiled at the older man, although it was a weak smile.* "Polite and to the point as always..." *She shook her head lightly.* "My padawan here and I were just discussing the acceptance of Rehema into the Republic. What are your views on the matter, Conrad?"
