Roxy was almost overwhelmed by the attacks and everything going on around her. Her eyes were flashing around, trying to take everything in, the monsters attacking, that woman who had been flying and taken down, that girl's scream was killin her head and then that man... he seemed to know a lot more than they did...
Her train of thought was swiftly derailed as one of the monsters grabbed her from behind and lifted her off the ground, Roxy crying out as she felt something cut her side. She heard their spectators give out a roar, apparently hoping for a death. That was the last thing she'd allow to happen...
She managed to stab her knife into the monsters neck and it dropped her, Roxy falling to the ground. the monsters swiftly set upon her and she wasn't visible for a brief second. Then with a bright flash of red, the monsters were thrown back and a large two-tailed fox leapt from where Roxy had just been.
She snarled, almost hissing at the monsters as they charged her again, but she was much stronger now, tearing into them with her teeth and claws, they really didn't stand a chance.

Amidst the terror that was running through her veins as she fought off the attacking creatures, something pulled her back to reality before she lost herself, and she realized it had been the young man- Hellhound- who had come to her aid, yelling at her to... what? Transform? And what girl? She could hardly hear as piercing music assailed her ears, which were sharper and the average human's.
For a second, the image of her true form came to her head, and she realized that was the form he was talking about. Fear came when she thought of it, but transforming was the only way there was any way of surviving this arena.
"Get away from me." She hissed at Hellhound, as she held her sword in front of her, facing the heavens. A blue light began to grow around the ice phoenix, and anything that came within ten of her froze solid. Her wings began to grow, and the feathers spread over Zyphan's entire body. Her clothes vanished, and her body quickly went through an extreme transformation as a blinding blue light enveloped the demonoid girl, and soon an enormous phoenix stood in her place.
The attacking monsters hesitated a moment in awe at what she had become, before surging with a new fury towards her. With a cry, Zyphan pushed off and took to the air on a wingspan of twenty feet, leaving a frozen circle where she stood. The air began to grow cool, and wherever she flew, snowflakes fell from her pinions.
In this state, Zyphan was able to freeze most of their attackers within five minutes; all she had to do was open her mouth and a freezing gale would tear through their numbers. She was careful to stay away from the fox and from Hellhound, though she did not entirely know what had become of him. And though she wanted to help the singing girl, that music was still piercing, and the phoenix was forced to stay on the opposite side of the arena.
[[ i hope that's okay... her phoenix form is a little overpowered, but then again this girl has some strange history that has yet to develop ^__^ ]]

*shouldn't even mention my character's sudden godliness with a guitar X-x* If they didn't like the music now, things were about to get a little better. The darkened aura surrounding Alma began to fade as the music reached it's peak, the electrified aura breaking down as well. Behind the veil, the real Alma was fighting back, rearin' to gain control again. By the time the song was at an end, bare skin was becoming visible once more, and her mind was starting to return to normal... or about as normal as one could expect her to be. It was about the time she was gripping her head and moaning about the onset of a migraine that Alma took note of the monsters surrounding her, and the guitar fully extended in her hands. This was not a good situation to be in. And the monsters quickly realized weakness when they sensed it. Several of them lunged straight at her, but she quickly ducked and rolled away, albeit somewhat clumsily due to her general lack of energy at the moment. Adrenaline offset that somewhat, but the effects were still there, which was obvious when she got swatted halfway through a dive, sending her body into a nearby wall and her guitar somewhere nearby. A few freaks made right for Alma as soon as she landed, swarming over her in a dog-pile. Moments later, a high-pitched scream forced a few of them to retreat, giving the lady underneath a moment to crawl out and grab her guitar again, curling up into a fetal position as the "weapon" changed back into it's circular shape, held in front of her for whatever good it would do her. Tired, scared, weakened from whatever had just happened to her, she had no clue what to do. It was then that she heard the cheers all around. Seemed that the crowd hadn't entirely turned against them... A few even seemed to be cheering her performance. Seriously, who's side were these people on? Well, that didn't matter right now; the monster-hellspawn-whatchamacallits on her side of the stadium were recovering, and she needed something - fast. Then an idea came to her: instead of knocking them around, and trying to go aggressive, why not try to outsmart them? Granted, Almaa'raska wasn't exactly a think-tank, but she could contemplate pretty quickly on her feet. And she knew that, while her powers weren't exactly god-like, they were still there, a one-up upon whatever she was facing. Really strange, then, that the simplest song she could recall off the top of her head seemed to fit the bill right now. Unfurling the axe of Rock n' Roll, she quickly tuned the guitar down a few notches, then let out the first few cords once her second wind hit... ~ Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple ~The section around her began to fill up with a fog of some sort for about five yards out and seven feet up all around her, which settled down slowly, impairing the vision of the hell-freaks around Alma. As well, the heavy guitar distortion didn't help one bit either, disorienting them even moreso. Also, was it just the imagination, or were there more players than there should have been? Reality was taking a real fat one at the moment, so much so that it was hard to tell what was happening. Needless to say, however, Alma herself was happy just hiding in the misty cloud that kept her safe, and the crowd was getting quite a show out of it as well.

Reinos had watched the transformation of both the phoenix and the kitsune and was in shock on both. Two demonoids of such power brought to the Colosseum so easily without wounds.
The doctor was in similar ways of thinking, he thought something was off on this. Who would have tried to capture such powerful demonoids in such conditin and the girl with the guitar. This was an unexpected development. Had the doctor not known better he would have guessed that they were each specifcally brought here to conteract Hellhound's abilities however the situation has caused a change in him. Almost like he is trying to protect them.
Even know he isn't even killing his opponent's, though he is hurting them. It looked as if he was trying to use his enhanced power to knock them unconscious.
The doctor smiled thinking on how childish it seemed to want to protect the lives of those even trying to kill you, even those that seemed like they would never again be human. Hellhound looked up to the control room straight at the doctor and nodded solemnly..it was time.
Reinos turned to his human self again as he ran into the mist where the girl was singing. He could feel the vibrations of her song in the air and locate her presence by that, though you had to be able to think to do that hence why the other demonoids couldn't. His golden eye illuminated her in the fog for a moment as he got beside her right in her ear hoping she could hear him.
"It's time to leave this hell, are you with me?" he asked.....

Alma vision through the fog was pretty bad, and the abrupt appearance of the Hellhound scared her something fierce. Once the music ceased, the fog began to lift - before too long, she would be exposed again. Her sense of self-preservation kicked in before too long, despite whom she was facing - especially at the word 'leave'.
"Uh... Despite the present company, that sounds much better than dying!" However, it seemed several monsters were taking advantage of the thinning cloud, and bumrushed semi-blind at the woman, who took to hiding behind the comparative man-mountain. Practically clinging to Reinos by now, shaking almost uncontrollably, she added in a quiet but high-pitched cry "Get me out of heeeerrrreeeee!!"

Reinos growled as he felt his temper rising, this situation was becoming more and more ridiculous as he helped the girl get into the most comfortable position he could on his back needing both arms.
"Whatever you do, don't move..." he said over his shoulder as he lunged forward using his fist and knees to smash past them. He erupted from the fog at inhuman speed as he heard the crowd roar with his appearance with the girl on his back. They reacted as if they knew who she was yet he didn't think that as a possibilty as he felt a change in the air. The beams encircling the arena had suddenly stop.
Reinso knew the doctor had kept his end of thier bargain, so it was time to leave. His eyes began to glow again as he reared his head back and howl into the evening chill. The creatures that had been advancing suddenly paralyzed as if they had stop even breathing. He looked to the sky and to his 2 new companions...
"Time to split!!!!" he screamed as he jumped up into the arena where the fans were, even they couldn't move for fear of what might occur to them and he tore through the crowd and out the arena with his cargo on his back....

It had become easier to deal with the monstrosities in her second form, but Zyphan knew time was running out. All around her lay frozen bodies, and the arena floor had at least five inches of solid blue ice on it, if not more.
She was still focused on surviving that when the Hellhound howled and yelled out, it startled her, until she realized there was no use fighting anymore; they were all frozen!
With a triumphant screech, the ice phoenix flew after him and the young girl, checking to make sure the other one, the fox, was coming too. Zyphan didn't even know where she was going, really, but the fact that she just escaped possible death.... well... it was awesome!

Stars above, it was days like this that she wished she wasn't so crummy at running and stuff. Alma clung to Reinos for dear life, shutting out as much of the noises around her as best she could, whining constantly and muttering something about a beach and sun and sand and really, REALLY wanting to be there instead of here. One unsightly beast started reaching for her, but lost ground immediately when Mr. Hellhound roared. That shook her up even more, though she didn't have much of a chance to contemplate upon it, as her man-mount took off like a bolt of greased lightning, leaping into the audience. She did have the presence of mind, however, to at least excuse him as best she could while the crowd lept left and right to avoid the beasty. It didn't even occur to her to be thankful she was alive; after all, a pampered, spoiled b**** was she, and all she could think about was how this was so going to screw up her perm and nail job.

Roxy saw the others beginning their escape, and rushed after, knocking a few monsters out of her way and running after.
She was a large creature, but rather swift, it took very little time before she had caught up and then making herself race ahead. She was gonna get out of there and get so far away she'd never have to see this town again.

Reinos didn't hesitate in gazing at the others around him with his eyes flashing between blue and green. He growled in his throat not thinking about his own stupidity.
"Each of you back to your human states now, your a walking bullseye looking like that," he said as he made sure the girl on his back was secure and looked over his shoulder at her terrified face yet he saw a strange determination there.
"I feel like I know you from somewhere," he said under his breath before lunging down past the guards and escaping the remnant part of the Colosseum, he knew they should have repaired that but glad they didn't....thier only chance now was to make it to the Old Quarter to hide until they could get out of the city....

Roxy changed back and leapt after him, just as quick in her human form as she was as a fox.

Zyphan realized with a start that he was perfectly right, although the past moments while she was in her Form were a blur to the young woman. With a flurry of snowflakes, her phoenix form was replaced by her more human one, her azure wings outstretched to break her landing.
Glancing behind her, Zyph saw a commotion of guards, and she tried quickening her pace, only to find extreme exhaustion seeping into her muscles. She stumbled once, twice, and then gave up and took to the sky. She would have an easier time flying if she was so drained of energy, even though it took all she could to power herself forward after the now-human fox, Reinos, and the musical girl.

She hung on as best she could, barely hearing Reinos's comment. "M-m-mayb-be... Just t-tryin' to make a living, i-i-is all." She looked back, seeing the one bat-ish girl starting to stumble. Now, in general, it wasn't her policy to get involved, and this was no different. In general. The current situation was quickly falling out of that category.
Reaching within her, Alma sent a decent scream back at the guards, angled so that it wouldn't reach up and knock down the phoenix-bat-lady; they took it full in the face, twisting away and breaking pursuit or aiming until the ringing in their ears would cease. It'd be a while before that happened, giving the flying girl a decent amount of time to get out of immediate-death range. Unfortunately, it took the wind out of her already-exhausted lungs, forcing her to cling for what she was worth until she could recover. Not exactly a fun day, to be sure.
She did, however, manage to blurt out at Reinos "More talk later, like when we're not about to die, maybe?!"

Reinos nodded not looking over his shoulder before jumping out of the arena stands letting the others get by him before extending his boneblade from his arm and slashing the wall in different angles quickly faster than can be followed with the human eye and running out into the streets disappearing into the crowds the walls and opening collapsing. He kept the the crowds with the others close by moving slowly so not to draw attention. Humans were stupid.....

* um... what the... O.o.... ehh, okay ._. *
Once she was safety within the confines of a crowd, Alma dropped herself off Reinos's back, somewhat flustered and dazed by the whole sequence of events, which she didn't dare to follow on her own accord. Sunlight was muffled by the buildings surrounding them, and by the smell of things, the group had landed in a market right outside the Colosseum, which only made her stomach rumble. She was tired, hungry, grumpy, and completely confounded by what had just happened. Not to mention she felt a killer headache about to begin.
Now if she could only see above the mob, which had swallowed them whole in the chaos. Apparently, the rush of people wanting to leave had made for some easy cover, because they all blended right in. As well, it was obnoxiously noisy, something Alma had never minded before when she was on stage, but came back to haunt her now; strange, how the little things can make all the difference.
Well, she at least wanted to know what was coming next. "So... uh... big guy..." Alma's voice strained, trying to talk over the crowd without screaming - which, for all she knew, would likely knock out everyone in the immediate vicinity - "Where're we headin' to? Anywhere in particular? I know this great diner down the street if yer as hungry as I am..."
