So, here's a new RP I felt like starting. I figured we needed another dark RP in the style of Path of the Forsaken, so here we go!
Basic idea is run over in the first post. Medieval setting with magic etc. Some machines and gadgets, but nothing advanced. If you're not sure, clear it with me, but keep it simple.
Fun fun... get to it!

I know I'm in a couple role plays already, and I haven't exerted very much into the plot lines, but I can if it's very active.
I was wondering if I were to join as a mage, would that be bad for the plot? Or would it spice things up? I'd like to try as a magik-user, I've never played one before, and I thought it might be interesting to try something new.

You can do what you want. A mage wouldn't hurt the plot at all, just keep in mind the Quintus wouldn't trust your char. He's a mage hunter, as the majority of powerful mages are corrupted by their magic use (or so he believes). Feel free to do it, but be aware that there will be conflict

I plan on having a twist for my char though, that's why i ever thought of it, realizing he disliked mages, I wouldn't just throw a char in there just for the conflict.
Hopefully it'll work out anyways, I'll make a profile, and you lemme know what you think, or any suggestions.
Just to fully understand, is this mostly an action-based RP?

there is no base. It is a story-based, driven by action, mystery, etc. whatever need be
I always prefer character development to pointless action.
Conflict is good though, makes for things being interesting, so don't be afraid to cause it! I was just giving you a heads up so you knew and didn't think I was trying to push you out of the thread (that's happened before)

Well my char is done for now. I'm going to be adding details as the story goes, mostly because my char has an unfinished puzzle, and she needs to find the pieces.
I'm going to be drawing her at some point, so heads up (:

Well... if I'm sure the whole "town completely missing from the map" thing could lead to some issues. You could investigate it for many reasons, be chasing my char, etc. etc.

oh! i did have one idea....
btw, off topic, but would a 2003 Mazda 6 under 10k$ and 100k miles w/ an automatic be a good deal O.o? I like my parent's 626, but want something a little less ancient than 10 years old :\ Not really decided or dedicated yet, but it looked good to me, alongside the other features. When I do get a car, it'd only be w/ 1 key, to keep one of them from running off with it >.>

kellybluebook.com
use it for any "pricing" of a car

one long-assed link<-- That's the car I'm currently looking at. There's one that's about a thousand cheaper, but with nearly double the miles on it. And thanks for the link, too ;D

Yeah, use that to price a used car and push the dealer... If you go to the research and explore thing and select and fill out all the info, it gives you the "suggested" price for the car. Honestly, on that car, price seems a bit high.
EDIT: According to kbb, it seems to be a good price. But, I always have my reservations on any mazda/honda/toyota with 54000 miles in 3.5-4 years. Thats about average mileage, but I am not a fan of japanese cars... Definitely go test drive it first, FORCE the dealer to give you a Carfax. If they attempt to girl thingyfoot around the carfax or it comes up with 3 or more owners, push them to drop the price, or steer clear of that car completely. Don't EVER let them know you really want it. Make it seem like you couldn't give a d**n if they sold it tomorrow. You want a dealer to sweat the sale, he'll lower the price that way.
Don't fall in love with one car, there are plenty out there, hunt for the best price, especially in this market.
Good Luck.

Poor bastard *snicker*
I know... Haven't fallen in love with it, but I am suspicious about it being 3k under-average from the get-go. The other one I seriously looked into had been through three owners, and from the free report I got had only one accident (though it didn't say what it was, making that tiddlybit useless as a pebble to a pigeon ~.~). I still want a look at it, and frankly I've become attached to our old 626... but that's the thing: its old, and any model of it I look for will probably be 10 years+.
Right now I'm still trying to decide if I want to pay another thousand for a car that's a few years younger or not, mostly. And I will be asking for a test drive, even if the dealer is a respected one in the area (if one can say that with a straight face...). Really though, even if its a bit more pricey, I'd rather buy from a dealer than some random person by the side of the road... Even if it isn't worth a whole lot, a warranty is better than nothing at all :\
