Andrew's face lit up at the good news. He just might be able to get them out of here. He didn't know about Alex's technical knowledge so he couldn't say if he could fix the engine or not. But he would wait and see first before raising the others hope. But at least they might be able to send out a beacon to signal their location and arrange a pick-up, that is if the worked.
He smiled and spoke, "Well Alex, that's probably the best thing I have heard till now. You are a savior. Thank you. Can you guide me back to your ship?" He paused then looked up and realized that he hadn't noticed that the sky had darkened so much. He looked back at Alex and smiled, "Hmm, maybe tomorrow at first light. I think it's better if you stay with us today."
He figured she had been alone for an year and would be missing human company by now and also she probably couldn't make it back to her ship in the dark.

Alex looked at the sky then back at Andrew "well the problem is there isnt much to work with." She said looking at his sister who was just sitting quietly.
Tamarra yawned and then layed down on her side her head on her arm. Her eyes slowly closed and she began to fall sleep. She looked so peaceful as she slept. A small smile came across her pale and dirty face, it was obvious what she was dreaming about.
"She so pretty." Said Alex looking back at Andrew she then had an idea. Even though it was late and rather dark; the one thing about Alex was she is very adventuress she didnt care about the fact that it was dark. "Want to go for a walk? I mean I know its late..."

Andrew raised an eyebrow then looked back at his sister. She had just gone to sleep and had a smile on her face. He smiled seeing her like this then back at Alex and nodded in reply to her question. "Just hang on a minute..." He walked over to Edgar and spoke, "Hey, Alex and I are gonna be around, close. Just stretching my legs..."
He then turned and checked on his sister again. She seemed at peace and calmly asleep. He walked back to Alex and said, "Lets go..."

Alex nodded and got up she headed out towards the forest. She knew her way around quite well even in the dark. "you and your sister look a lot alike." She said witha smile looking in to his eyes.

Andrew smiled as he followed her closely. It was hard to navigate in the dark specially if you couldn't see the stars or navigate by them even if you could. He trusted Alex knew her way around well. "You have a good eye. We don't really look that alike. So why are we roaming around in the forest at night?"

"No reason really I was just getting tired of just sitting there." She said looking at him they arrived at the lake where they were earlier that day.

Edgar continued laying back, a small grin broke his face as Andrew lied right to him about why he was going for a walk.
"She really must be starved for human attention." Edgar laughed, finishing off his cigarette and flicking it into the fire. He checked his gun for any signs of wear or damage from the wreck, he hadn't done that yet... It was fine except for the teeth marks in the butt where the tiger tried to eat it. He subconciously ran his finger along his scar on his face, and the one across his chest, thinking back to that day... Snapping from it, he looked around and got up. He cradled his gun under his arm and rose up from the grass walking over to Matilda who was still awake.
"How you holdin' up." He said softly, as she was the only one still recovering from the wreck.

She stirred abruptly at the voice, the headache mostly gone. It was dark right now... How long had she been out? A few hours? A day? She didn't want to think about it as something crawled over her face. Quickly whipping her head around in surprise to toss whatever it was off of her, the pain returned, albeit not as bad as before.
Looking up to the voice she muttered "Me? I'm fine... I guess... Head still hurts a bit, but not like before... Everything else seems to be... alright..."

Andrew smiled and caught Alex around her elbow and stopped her just as they reached the lake. "Come on, that can't be the only reason you wanted to get away. What's on your mind?"

Tamarra woke up as she heard the rustling of the ground. She opened her eyes to see Edgar talking to Maltilda she noticed the same feelings with them as she noticed with her brother and Alex. She lay there looking at the couple as they talked. Behind her she could here the rustling of leaves but she didnt turn around, thinking it was the wind. A large male figure came up behind her and snatched her off the ground. Tamarra screamed but the scream was cut off by the mans hand. By the time any could see where the scream came from she was gone.
Alex looked back at him then down at his hand on her elbow and blushed. "Nothing...I just like walking around at night..." She heard the small distant scream and looked back at Andrew "did you here that?" She asked looking at him with concern.

(Uhh, don't get ahead of yourself BT, I didn't plan on Edgar having any feelings for Matilda. Nonetheless, if what I do in this post is outside of what you planned, let me know and I'll change it.)
Seeing Matilda was okay, Edgar was preparing to return to the fire and smoke another cigarette, but a small yelp that was quickly cut off came from the direction of Tamara. He turned, raising his gun to the air, but nothing could be seen. He wanted to fire, but he risked hitting Tamara if he did, so he lowered his gun and gave chase.
"Tell them what happened," He yelled back to Matilda as he raced forward. He knew he could catch the man, but he had to use his hearing, as his sight would be useless in the dark. They reached the trees, the man's large frame making plenty of noise as he barreled through the underbrush. Edgar was making some headway on catching up, he could see the man now, and just as he was ready to make a turn and escape, Edgar hit him firmly over the head with his gun butt, bringing the man to his knees.
Tamara hit the ground rather hard and sort of rumbled to a stop as Edgar spun the man over and rammed his gun butt into his neck, choking him.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, a**hole!" He yelled, adding pressure to ensure the man felt some pain. He knew this man was likely strong enough to throw him, so he used his leverage to deprive him of oxygen.
"You okay, Tamara?" Edgar said, loudly.

Andrew was running towards the camp before Alex had finished her sentence. It was pitch black but his sister's scream had been all that he needed to set his direction. He reached the two and the attacker within a couple of minutes. He looked at the situation and it seemed to him that Edgar had the attacker under control. He went straight for Tamara and kneeled next to her on his knees and checked her over with his hands the best he could in the darkness, then asked, "You alright sis?"

Matilda heard the cry well enough. It was that crazy child... except this wasn't one of those daymares she kept having that caused random fear in her (as well as the rest of the crew), she was sure about that. Her first reaction was to completely ignore it- after all, Matilda herself was injured. The blind shouldn't lead the blind...
But what if she was dying? What kind of doctor would she be if her patient was dying, and she did nothing to at least ease the pain, if not cure it?
Sitting up carefully, she looked around... Edgar had said something, but she hadn't really been paying attention, as he'd babbled a lot before. Now she wish she had been listening. Her compact laid on the ground a good distance away, probably tossed from the crash as it was burnt to a fair crisp on the outside, although... Opening the purse carefully, she found the .22 caliber handgun still inside, barely affected by the partial burning of its outside.
Her head was beginning to feel clearer already, though Matilda still kept herself from simply jumping up and running, even if the runes on her body had changed to a dark yellow mixed with dark blue- Mercaldin colors for anxiety and confusion. Still, even going slow was better than not going at all, and with some form of defense, she had a-
Abruptly, two large hands reached out behind her, yanking her into the brush. Acting quickly, she bit one of the hands that held her captive momentarily, causing the man to scream in pain as blood filled her mouth. Self-defense classes had paid off, if only because her attacker hadn't seen the weapon; relying on what little training she had, Matilda fired the pistol into his kneecap, making him release her before she pushed herself away.
He had attacked her, without need, without provocation, and for some reason that made her very, very angry; turning, red flaring over every rune on her body in unbridled hatred and rage as her voice echoed the same feelings, she cocked the hammer and fired twice more, the first shot hitting her enemy square in the throat, the second altogether missing her target. The man stumbled back, lifeblood gushing from the wound she'd made as he gasped for air, dying much more slowly than she intended. With her rage satisfied, all she saw, smelled, and tasted was blood, everywhere... and her stomach, although possibly able to handle just one of those, couldn't agree with all three. Dropping the gun as her attacker gasped his last breath, she turned towards the bushes and vomited profusely, emptying her stomach of what she had eaten just before the crash happened, eventually resorting to painful dry heaves which helped her headache but none at all. This was not a good day for any of them...

Alex ran after Andrew and saw his sister she didnt look hurt but she was terrified. Alex then looked at Edgar and the attacker who he seamed to have under control. She took her knife from out of her pocket and threw it right into the man.
Tamarra was rocking back and forth she was speechless. "Matilda." She whispered "Matilda is in trouble."

*whoa, I somehow missed that entire post swytch. Good thing I saw it before posting...*
Andrew had learnt not to question her sister about the truth is such claims. Most people thought it was freaky that she made such macabre 'prophecies' at times and disregarding them only because they couldn't understand how she did it. There was no other reason as she was always right about them.
He didn't ask any questions and was going to ask Edgar for a weapon when Alex threw her knife into the large man Edgar had in submission. He didn't wait or think about it and got to his feet, dislodging her knife from the body. Just then he heard the first gunshot coming from towards the camp. He froze for a fraction of a second. Tamara had known before everyone else.
He took off again right after turning towards Edgar. "Stay with them! Don't leave them alone..." It would be easier for Edgar to protect them than if he ran off all three of them were left and Edgar had run off. He had the bloodied knife in a back-hand hold.
He surprised the two that stood right in between Matilda and him. He made for the way between them slashing the one on his right across the neck, close to the shoulder. He had missed the artery he had been trying to go for due to the sudden movement by the man. He had stopped by the time the other grabbed at him, throwing him down on the ground a couple of feet away from where Matilda had been puking. Fortunately, Andrew managed to get the knife in front of his chest which cut through his attacker's stomach as he fell on top of Andrew trying to choke him to death.
Andrew actually thought that his neck might snap off before he would have choked to death, that was the pressure the man was applying on his throat. Andrew was panicking now when he saw that the attacker didn't even stop with a knife in his stomach. So the only thing Andrew could do in desperation and with his hands caught on the knife under the weight of the man was to twist the knife. That worked better than he had hoped as the weight suddenly lifted off him and Andrew moved his knife through the stomach width, disemboweling the man.
As the man fell back, Andrew barely rolled out for under avoiding the heavy body coming on top of him. Maybe he should have stayed with the two girls and let Edgar do the saving. He coughed for a few seconds before looking up and started to speak, "Matilda, you alri..." He was still not on his feet when he felt a hand grab his shoulder and another wrap itself around his neck cutting on his air yet again. He kicked the ground as he began to get dragged back. It was the one he had cut across the neck. He could see blood on his clothes and feel it across his face but it didn't seem to be his. The man seemed to be bleeding profusely and yet seemed to have the strength to do this.
