Despite their situation and him being a bit tongue tied after just seeing the girl almost fully naked (though from a 'somewhat respectable' distance), her rambling brought a smile to Andrew's face. He nodded as she finished speaking, "Yes I am human, name's Andrew Chase. I am... well was on Furion. If you did hear a loud rumbling some time back, that was our ship crashing here. We have sustained very high casualties. Actually there are only four of us alive camped back that way. Alex, right? How did you end up..."
Andrew never finished his question as he heard a noise behind him. There was a bit of struggle from the sound before he heard a cry and Edgar emerging. The only reason Andrew smiled was because he was glad to find another human. He started to say something only to be shut up by Edgar. He replied when he did get a chance, "Well, you seem to be making friends already with the local life it seems. I had just come to find some water and hopefully food. And no, I don't get lost. I have a pretty good memory and a rather memorable experience from my childhood."
He had almost a photographic memory but more importantly had got lost at an early age on a trip. He had completely freaked out because he didn't know his way back. The same fear had kept him out of a similar situation till now. He looked at the cat's body and asked, "We are gonna eat... that? Oh, Alex maybe you like to come with us. I am sure the others would be happy to see you too."

"Huh... wait, what?" Everything happened so fast that none of it was registering in her head. Oh god how everything hurt... still, those images. Why weren't they leaving her? Why was she stuck with these images? Shock, for sure... she was still recovering. That had to be it. "Hey... does anyone have an aspirin? This headache isn't going away..."
Hell, why was it so hot? Why did it have to be hot? She hated hot... hated places where the sun would burn her skin. She hated, hated, hated, hated it. And why was she thinking about this now? Wait... where was she? Dinner? What the hell was going on? Ugh... so much pain...

By the time Edgar had reached the camp, not much had happened, and Matilda seemed to be getting further down the road of dangerously injured. Edgar tossed down the massive cat that had to weigh nearly 100 pounds and knelt down by Matilda. He reached for his canteen and handed it to her. He didn't have any aspirin, but his canteen was full of water, and the cold drink might ease some of her pain and problems, not to mention keep her body hydrated to heal from the concussion. He got up and looked around as it still rained, it looked like his shelter was holding up because Matilda was pretty dry, but with the extra person now, it may require him to make another one, unless the off chance existed that she knew how to make her own.
Edgar walked over toward the trees and grabbed some large leaves, something to lay the meat he was about to fillet. With the fact that there were predators so close, and the limited ammunition he had being their last defense, he knew that he better not waste any time getting this thing cut up and disposing of what they wouldn't eat. He skinned the creature and laid the skin out to rinse off and later dry, he had no idea what the climate was like here, and if it got cold during the night, they would need that skin, which was large enough for two people. Edgar cut the best meat from the cat, going after the ribs and once he was done, he wrapped the meat up in the leaves and waited for the rain to stop. Making a fire with wet wood would be difficult, but he had faced harder situations.
Finished with the carving of the creature, he wiped his knife off and hauled the carcass off toward the trees. Disappearing for a few moments before returning without it. He had cut up plenty of meat, and even a little extra to save, he might have a pound or two that he could make into a hardened jerky, but without any means to salt it, it would be hard to preserve. He figured once the flames died out on the ship, he could look for supplies. The sight of death was one he could handle, as it was regular. If need be, he would be the one to face it.
Sweating a bit from all the workout, and looking at the wounds on his arms finally closing up, he sat down on the wet ground, glanced over at his brothers burial, the mourning Tamara, the injured Matilda, Andrew, and the new girl... Alex, he think he heard her say...
"I'm not gonna let us lose anyone else..." He mumbled under his breath...

Andrew was walking behind Edgar alongside Alex. He raised an eyebrow when the ship was mentioned. He checked his direction even though he was following Edgar just to make sure he was on the right path. Old habits did die hard. He turned to Alex and asked, "So where did you ship crash? Did you manage to salvage anything from it?"
But before she could answer he turned to look at the shelter Edgar had made and saw the panicking doctor in it. He turned to Alex and spoke, "Excuse me, we will talk a bit later about this. He approached Matilda after Edgar had handed her the water and knelt down in front of her and spoke, "Hey doc... Matilda, how are you doing? Relax, we should be ok here for a while. This will keep you out of the rain for now. Edgar is working on getting some food ready for us."
He looked towards Tamara and saw that she still seemed depressed but besides that seemed to be holding up alright. Edgar was mumbling something under his breath that Andrew couldn't catch. There was also the issue of salvaging whatever they could from the ship. That was a tricky business because there were still a lot of dead bodies but at least the fires would be out by now in this heavy rain. He could only think of himself and Edgar who could handle the job and maybe Alex but he couldn't be sure. But that would come later after he was sure Matilda had recovered from this state.
"We should be fine Matilda...", he searched for any kind of response. He was just hoping his talk was enough for now to keep from having a complete breakdown.

Boy, she must've been a freak show with that water bottle, just trying to get it to her mouth; every time one limb moved, the pain increased, forcing her to set it down again. Finally, she did manage a small swallow before it dropped from her mouth once more. Her head had cleared a bit, but when Andrew spoke to her, she winced. Felt like someone was playing a kick drum right next to her ear. Matilda was not having a good day so far...
A concussion... yes, that had to be it. Now that she could think for a moment, her body was showing all the classic signs: balance issues, confusion, disorientation, extreme sensitivity to sound and light, pain, post-traumatic amnesia. All she could do... all they could do for her was give it time to heal itself. Matilda had no external means of healing herself, as it was her own body that was in at the moment, not someone else's. Certainly, that only aided the helplessness of her state... Finally focusing for more than a few seconds, she turned to the one in front of her, asking "Hey... can you lay... me down a bit? Just... go slow... still... all hurts..."

Alex walked along side Andrew and nodded as she spoke. She was about to answer his question but he was distracted by the injured women under the tree. She let him got tend to her and observed the area seeing not many survivors she was glad she was the only one on her ship except for one person and that was her best friend, who had died in the crash she was crushed by a tree that fallen. Alex walked around the site and then made her why to ship which by now was just rubble and debris. She took another look at the women who had a concussion and rememebered she had some stuff at her camp to ease pain.
She also knew what plants were eatable and which plants could heal. She looked towards Edgar who was cooking the cat "Excuse me I'll be right back I'm gonna go back to my camp and get a few things that might be of help for you guys. And put on some actual clothes." She said with a slight blush. Heading back into the forest she disappreared into the brush, after about on an hour or two she came back with what looked like a small green nap sack on her back. Alex had her hair in a pony tail and was wearing a black tank top that rested slightly above her waist and baggy blue jeans that sat below her hip bones held up with a black belt and her black boots.
"Here i brought some meds from my ship that might help the injured. As well as some healing plants." She walked over to Andrew and the women she had heard him address as Matilda. Her eyes widened at the woman's beauty and her strange markings. She knew that woman was sensitive to sound so she whispered. "Ma'am I have some pain Killers her and a couple of things that might help you." She then looked up and saw the young girl mourning over a mound of dirt and knew exactly what had happened. Alex walked over to her approaching her slowly "who was it?" She asked the girl sitting next to her.
--------
Tammara looked up as she heard the voice it was calm voice. She turned to see a woman sitting next to her. "Edgars brother and my best friend...and love." She said looking down she had no more tears she had cried so much that they dried up.

Seeing the reaction he got when he talked he guessed everything was not alright with Matilda. He nodded and laid her down where she sat gently and looked around. He had no idea what the problem was with her but there was nothing he could do at this time either. He looked around for Alex and saw her heading away from camp. He had heard her tell Edgar that she was going to get supplies which was good.
He got out of the shelter, watched as Edgar worked on the meat. He looked up at the sky and guessed they still had about 3-4 hours of good light left. He watched as Alex came back fully dressed now that he didn't so many things on his mind, he noticed how beautiful she really was. Actually he had noticed her great physique when she was swimming but now he noticed an energetic and confident girl in her as well. He crouched and watched as she talked to Matilda first then went to talk to his sister.
He entered the shelter and nodded at Alex before finally embracing her sister and stroking her wet hair with his hand, "I am sorry about Malcolm, sis..." He paused as he realized he didn't really know what to say to console her. He pulled back after a while and looked at her hand. He cleaned her hand and then tore a piece off the bottom of his T-shirt (already partly ripped) and tied a clean bandage. He looked up at her and smiled, "How about you help Edgar with the fire and the food?" He just wanted her to do something so she could keep her mind off the death.
He also had to talk to Alex about this place and maybe make a trip to the ship to salvage whatever was possible.

Edgar had done all he could with the meat until the rains stopped and he could make a fire. When Alex headed to her camp to get some supplies, he simply nodded, carving some sticks for the meat to cook on. It took him only a few minutes, but it was work that kept his mind occupied. Once Alex had returned, Edgar took a double take, a bit taken aback by how stunning she looked. Within a few seconds, however, the focus changed, he felt very little more than pain and determination, he didn't think that would change anytime soon. Once he realized that there was nothing more to do, he rose from the spot he was sitting, leaving the leaf covered meat to sit for a while. He turned from the group, not looking back as he spoke.
"I'm gonna go look for supplies from the wreck."
With that, he began walking toward the destruction...

"Ashes to ashes dust dust we'll all die some day. Malcolms time just came to soon, but he now watching us from a better place." She watched as her brother changed her bandages. "Can I have the piece of glass that was in my hand...i know it sounds a little odd but i wish to make something out of it." She said looking at her brother.

Andrew had learnt not to question her sister however odd her requests sounded to him. She wasn't mad that she couldn't think rationally. Yes, she did stretch the boundaries due to some deep feeling. He smiled and handed her the piece of glass. "Be careful ok? Don't cut yourself again Tamara..."
Andrew looked at Edgar but didn't reply. He wanted to go as well but he didn't think the others were in a condition to be left alone right now. Alex was fine but Matilda and Tamara were in no condition to look out for themselves in case something was to come up.

Tamarra smiled as he said yes "dont worry I"ll be ok." She tapped the new girl on her shoulder and asked her for a knife. Once Alex gave her then knilfe she went off under the shelter and rinsed the blood of the piece of glass and began to carve the letter "M"out of it and then managed to some how attach it to the chain which used of have her locket on it. When she finished it look like this (but with out the rhine stones). She put the necklace on and sat watching the rain.
"Rain Rain go away come again another day." She sang softly to her self. She handed Alex back her knife and watched as her brother and Alex talked.

Andrew turned to Alex and asked now that he had some time, "What's your story? How did you end up here and what do you know about the planet? Oh and did you manage to salvage anything from the ship, you know, equipment, tools, etc?"

Edgar made his way silently to the wreckage that had long been extinguished by the heavy rains. The rubble no longer had any signs of action or life, the electric wiring and reactor of the ship long having died out due to damage, rain, and energy leaks. Edgar stepped up near the wreck, and what was the cockpit. Various limbs, most charred black, but a few parts that were identifiable as the commanders. He must have been torn to pieces by the crash. Edgar looked around and made his way into the wreck. The twisted halls of metal and wiring hanging motionless. Further into the ship were more crew members, their lifeless bodies strewn about, most charred black, others dismembered or decapitated. It was a grim picture to say the least. Edgar made his way into the dormitory...
Not much had survived the flames and the wreck, most of it having burned up. Edgar found his brothers assault rifle, an M4 Custom, as well as some ammunition. Slinging that over his shoulder, he searched around for anything he could find useful, and came upon a lighter and some cigarettes, most likely one of the crew member's stash. He pocketed the cigs and the lighter, and looked for anything else that might be useful. Before long he found that most everything had been destroyed. Sifting through more of the wreck, he made his way to the supply storage bay near the rear of the ship, he hoped that some of the supplies survived.
Once he arrived, the majority of the cargo had been burned up, nothing much survived. The tents were burned, but a steel lantern, the wick long burned away, and some metal bars used for supporting the tents did still remain. Edgar grabbed all that he could, taking anything else that he might have found useful. Sadly, most of the things that could have been helpful were gone. Only bits a pieces remained, most of which could be used for other means, but nothing that could be used for its original intent (Cue your creativity for the bag he brings back.)
Edgar turned from the wreck, leaving the numerous bodies to the scavenging beasts moving in on the wreck. What was not charred to a blackened crisp was being carried off by various animals. Edgar nodded his head, knowing that while it was gruesome, it did keep the nearby wildlife fed, which would keep them off of the camp for at least a short while.
Edgar returned to the camp carrying various supplies wrapped in half a remaining tarp that managed to make it through the fire. Tossing it to the ground he took out his knife and began cutting holes in the tarp and weaving it through the poles. Before long, a small makeshift tent was created, only big enough for two people if they weren't opposed to tight spaces. He set it up on the ground and looked around.
"That's enough shelter for the rest of you. I'll sleep in the rain tonight." Edgar said, tired, beaten, bloodied, and bruised, and not wanting to make a shelter for himself out of exhaustion. The others could make better use of it. Edgar's survival training had put him through conditions just as harsh as this. Almost as that thought passed his mind the rain stopped. The sun had gone down over the horizon and it was night. Edgar pulled aside some of the wood he gathered while making the first shelter, and began to light a fire, using the lighter.
Once the fire was roaring and the welcoming warmth was spreading through the camp, Edgar began staking the meat in the ground, letting it cook in the fire. When he was finished he took off his Kevlar vest and shirt and laid them by the fire to dry. His muscular and fantastic frame marred like his face by scars and bullet wounds that had healed. He had undoubtedly seen his share of battle. Laying down in the grass, he pulled out one of the cigs and lit it up, taking a long drag on it. He rarely ever smoked, mainly using it as a nerve settler before a mission as a soldier, but in this case, it was in order to handle a different problem weighing on his mind...

Alex turned and looked at Andrew "well I crashed her about a year ago. My ship didnt really get wrecked to much, most of the supplies are still useful the only thing that got really busted was her engine I was unable to fix her sadly. But I'm able to live in it. Since I've been on this planet for at least year I know the plants and animals rather well." She said looking at the whole time.
Tamarra watched as Edgar wondered into the wreck and came out with a gun and some supplies. She just sat and stared she looked at Matilda who looked sick then at her brother and the new girl who in Tamarra's eyes looked as though she fancied Andrew. Tamarra smiled at her brother noticing it in his eyes as well. He liked him too, one thing that Tamarra was able to was read people their minds and emotions. She focused her attention back on Edgar for while and watched as tried to make the crash site more like a camp.
