(OOC: PM me if you want to join... we need more people )
It was a dead silent morning, and thick fog hung heavy in the air. The Guard walked the perimeter on the city walls, watching for any sign of another attack. Though they probably wouldn't see anything till it was right next to them, due to the fog. The air taste of stale, dead flesh. The flesh of the undead legions that had attacked just two days previous.
Xander had been at the other city when it happened. The city officials had gone to the neighboring city to talk trade. They had taken this opportunity to have their necromancers attack Albroth, seeking to take it over. If not taken over, they planned to hold the officials for ransom. This did not quite go ask planned though...
When they went to seize the officials, they were attacked back. The official's had been vastly underestimated. You see, the "important" people of the city were not the rich, they were the battle worn and experienced warriors. They fought their way back to the city, Xander along with them the whole way.
The battle was a rough one, one side having living people with lives to lose... The other being dead warriors, having nothing to lose. On top of the being attacked, the necromancer's had also covered the skeletons in a kind of poison. Anyone who had touched the enemy would fall sick.
As of yet, there is not cure to the sickness, but a call was put out for adventurer, or anyone willing to risk their lives, to go looking for a cure. This would be dangerous because they would have to venture into the enemy city. Xander had been trying all day to find people to come with him, offering money, spells, and anything he could to tempt people to help.
On top of the disease that was slowly infecting the city, there was the suspicion that the enemy would attack again, perhaps with something more deadly. It was of vital importance that the cure was found before the next attack, being that more of the infected where the guards. If the city was attacked again, they would not last long.
Xander was currently in a pub, putting up flayers...
