(nope take us across)
Evan stepped on, afraid that the platform would wobble and collapse.
"Are you sure it's safe?" He asked, standing ready to leap to one of the nearby platforms if incident were to occur. At the other end of the chamber, he stepped off, and opened a small wooden door with a heavy brick frame.
The world around him seemed to freeze. The room ahead of him was twisted, like a god had grabbed the two ends and turned them the opposite directions. He began walking. He was sure that his feet would began to slide as he cautiously stepped down the passage. The green rug beneath him didn't seem to move either. When he reached the doorway, it was perfectly right side up. Looking back, he could see the same twisted room as before, exactly like the other side. When they stepped through this door, everything seemed to start again with a loud ring of a bell.
He was confused. He had never seen this type of machinery before. The mechanism before him consisted of a water wheel, being spun counter clockwise by the small artificial river running through the structure.
Structure Evan thought, looking up and around. The machine must have served a purpose, so there must have been someone- or something nearby. Another bell rang. Then four more. After the sixth bell there was a violent trembling, and the doorway behind them slammed shut, and heavy steel blast doors slid over it.
"Once again, looks like our only way is forward.." Evan sighed, taking a step ahead of him. Besides the water wheel was a small wooden ramp, carrying them up to the next floor. On this level the room was supported by four large pillars, all with a single cog on it.
"What do you think it is?" Evan asked to Pinata in particular, knowing his wiseness of years. There was a statue of a man in the middle, holding a staff with a clock mounting the head. around the upper edges of the wall, were carved out spaces letting the sunlight shine in.
sunlight!
The blazing ball of fire could be seen from any of the holes. At the opposite end of the room, there was another ramp lining the wall, leading to what had to be the ground floor. Evan rushed forward. When he reached the top of these stairs, he saw it. the large and assorted gears and cogs lining the walls and the ceiling. On the southern wall- a large wooden double door.

((I changed the wound slightly in my characters falling post, to make slightly more severe (which also means I have to redo most of the treatment post, when I post it up.) And mind the eh-ness of this post.))
The warmth had moments ago saturated the cloth, and now streaked it's gentle touch down her hand, leaving needle traceries on her flesh and making pinpoint dabbles as it struck ground. Her move to hide the wound had displaced the fragile healige that had formed, tearing apart the plug of torn skin that had been stuck there from moments before. So far she was in pain, she did not feel so small a thing as this, until the blood flowed away. The only grief she felt over this now was how much more a distraction would bring, and that it existence was a rather obvious fact, even in the dark. Yet, she knew the two would not notice, for they were both now before her.
She stepped upon the platform, created by the mage's weapon strike. She knew it to be a thing of strength, to sever so easily. He was lucky to have a blade so strong and bold to bring it on this journey, where already one thing was stolen. Yet, she wouldn't have herself worry any more over it, for to do so would only be a waste. She stepped onto the stump, with out question or word.
And, they then reached structure. Familiar, yet odd. Reliving, but discomforting in presence. Either way, it would be an end in one chapter, and the start of a new.

Pinata passed a critical eye over the structure, then shrugged. "It looks like it could be multiple things," he told Evan. "The wheel is probably an irrigation tool of some sort, to direct the flow of the water; the statue looks to be a sundial. The whole thing's probably a trap of some sort, though." He looked at the exit, the ramp leading up to it, and back to the wheel again. He could almost see the room filling up with water as soon as someone stepped on the ramp, but before he could share his suspicions Evan was at the top of the stairs, standing before the door.
No trap had been triggered, but Evan weighed much less than the other two so Pinata still approached the ramp cautiously. He would have used magic to levitate himself across so he didn't step on anything that might spring a trap, but he realized that it was wiser to conserve his energy... whoever this thief was, he was powerful, and magic would be needed to defeat him. Pinata stood next to Evan, then waited for the woman to join them. He noted that she was favoring her hand, as if it had been injured... however, in the interest of not offending her further he decided not to say anything. Let her ask for help if she wanted it.

"So it seems you have lost something." Came a voice from behind that startled Evan, making him fall back onto his heels and step behind Pinata.
"Wh-Who are you?" Evan asked, afraid of the stranger, and actually very fearful of his environment. Being a child again was mind shaking. He felt so much more vulnerable, easily defeated by any physical force pit against him.
"I, am the clock keeper." The man said. He had a long beard, like the one in the statue, and also wore a robe, but his were torn and wrinkled. Ironically he also bore a staff, that also had a clock on it's head, but this one looked battered and rusty.
"I am the one who makes sure the cogs keep spinning, and that the bell in this tower rings every day, every hour. But, this year is special." He stepped forward, looking up at the gears towering above us.
"It is said that every hundred years, right before the new century, the bells should be rung, all at once. The one in the center of the land, and the one in each cardinal direction. It is said that the magic of the bells repels coming evil, and keeps the earth alive. But... This time it is different. I have not been able to reach the bells in this tower. Someone, or something has plagued it, and unless it is purged, the bells will not ring."
Evan took a moment to think about the Clock Keeper's story. If what he said was true, unless they fixed the tower in a week the world would come to an end.
"If you ever want your beloved amulet back, you will have to help me." He finished, then turned back towards the ramp. Evan darted after him, but when he turned to search the lower level, there was nothing but the rock solid statue staring him in the face.

Pinata also moved to chase the Clock Keeper once he realized that he was the thief, but the man appeared to suddenly vanish into thin air. "Coward!" Pinata bellowed, his voice echoing off the walls. When he got his hands on this guy, he was so going to torture him.

Then a man darted into the room. He had one iron shoulder pad, he was wearing steel gauntlets and he had a scarf under his long eye covering hair tied around his head. His long red cape flowed behind him as he dashed toward pinata. His sword seemed so unexplainable. The way it glowed. He Picked up Pinata and pinned him against a wall. "WERE IS HE! I KNOW YOUR WORKING FOR HIM!" The man placed his strange sword at Pinata's neck "Don't make me do this!" Pinata was still in shock from everything happening at once and didn't say a word "Say something!... I can't let him get away this time!" Pinata could tell their was deep anger in his voice. "SPEAK!" He increased the pressure of the blade against Pinata's neck.

(..... Please delete your posts and read up on how to roleplay. Pm me if you want to. your current post will be ignored.)
Evan slowly walked towards the heavy wooden doors, and gave a slight push. The sunlight flooded the room, hurting his eyes still sensitive from the previous darkness. A soft tune from what sounded to be a flute of sorts filled the air, and the sound of a hammer beating in the nearby area was present.
"Where do we start?" Evan asked, nearly whispering. He was overwhelmed by the sudden change in environment, and the wide range of possible places to hide.
One week. The words still hung in the back of his mind. He looked around. They were in what seemed to be a town square. There were boxes and tools spread around under overhangs, and a large structure being erected in the middle. There was an exit to the south- wherever that took you. Behind them stood a large tower- looking to be five stories tall- with a clock on each of it's four faces. Upon the top stood a rotating sphere of brick.
Then he looked up.
Above them was one of the most frightening things he had ever seen. Not because of what it was- because of what he could do to stop it. The Moon was much larger than any normal moon should be.
"I think we found our problem..." Evan said, pointing to the sky.

"Well, that can't be good," Pinata said as he looked up to see what Evan was pointing at. He wondered if the werewolves had gotten bigger too, then shrugged off the uncomfortable thought... he hadn't seen a werewolf since entering this world, he doubted there were any.
"What do we do?" he asked Evan. "Manipulating the moon is a bit outside the scope of my powers... there's not some necromantic ritual you can do to set things right, is there?"
