I haven't tried an appletini yet, but want to. Don't much care for wine, though I've only tried it once (it was so memorably bad that I never tried it again, but there's a possibility it just wasn't good wine). Sideways was a good movie, though. Never heard screwdrivers accused of being manly before... you've got some weirdos in your area, Kait.
Most of what I drink is tropical in nature (coladas, margaritas, daiquiris, etc.). Rum's the only thing I drink straight, and that usually comes in coconut-flavored form. I guess I just think that if you're putting something in your mouth, it should taste good.

I want to try appletini's just because of Scrubs, I'm not going to lie.
Thing is, whiskey does taste good to me. Black Velvet and Jameson's at least. I really enjoy just the normal Jameson's whiskey, but the 18 year old reserve is really good. Black Velvet just goes down really, really smooth. That, and it doesn't have quite the burning sensation that Jack has.
Like I said, I like spiced rum, too. But at first, it did kind of taste like I was drinking death.
My sister spent a year in Italy, so she's the wine buff. I'll drink it with her from time to time, but it isn't my favorite. Mead was interesting, though. Mulled mead is the best. It certainly beats cider when it comes to cold winter nights.

I can drink any hard liquor straight. You name it. I can drink it... and like it

d**n straight, Mammoth.
Also: Tequila. I have a friend who loves himself some really expensive tequila. But, he does shots and his face just scrunches up horridly. It's hilarious. I'll do a shot and bam! Nothing. Except asking for another shot.

Tequila was the only stiff I really had a problem with initially, it burned horribly, the salt didn't take a lot of the edge off, and it made me cough, which got it and the salt into my nose. Add to the fact that someone took mt d**n lime, and I was none to happy. But after the first shot and I actually had a lime the second time, and time to brace myself, it was actually really good. And the only stuff I've found so far that can really effect me at all.

yeah, Tequila packs a punch. It made me wince the first few times. It just takes getting used to each thing. But I will say that cheap scotch will make me make a funny face just about every time.
That and 151... but I think i've got the 151 down... lol.

I may try that, who knows, I might actually get drunk, Nothing I've had so far has managed to do it, though the tequila, while it did not make me drunk, did make me feel decidedly funky. It was from mexico though, so their could've been something in it that made me high.

Did you eat the worm? I hear that that can make you really drunk, though I've never tried it myself.
Fionn: There should be a site for Irish Scrubs fans. You, me and Evilpoptart would all join.

Just to clarify so you don't kill yourself... I didn't drink it at ONE go. By that I meant I finished the bottle in one sitting, alone.

drinking it in one go = alcohol poisoning.
