The forrest had been taken over by villagers looking for a pesky fox to be slein. Since that pesky fox was actually Chigiri's small clan of pesky foxes, she felt it was past due time for them to move on. She now wandered aimlessly, her fellow foxes encircling her on their journey for the next resting spot.
Had this been any normal time, she would have wiped the villagers all out on by one, but this was no normal village. The village's head preistess knew Chigiri, and Chiriri's grandmother. She was of the Kitsune clan, herself. Chigiri knew of the dangers that would follow if the Lady was informed of her location. She had done gravely punishable things in her past.
Thus she couldn't stick around, and she knew it. The question was, where was she to go? Her fox bretherin were much occustum, by now, to travelling after dark. Therefore, they had no problem with wandering under the silvery moon's blank gaze for the remains of the night. But she owed them. The danger she put them through back at that village just for a bite to eat whilst she ws sick was un-called for. The risk if one of them had been caught steeling was death. Not a slap on the paw, not a time out in the burrow, death.
She sighed.
"If only you could transform as easilly as I..." she remarked thoughtfully as she squatted and stroked one of her bretherin between the ears, "Wouldn't that solve an awful lot of problems?"
She laughed quietly to herself.
"yes, i believe it would." she added to herself.
Suddenly, she heard a ruffling noise to the left. Thinking quickly, she immediatly jumped to her feet and reached for the DebiruTsu-ru over her shoulder, and paused to see what would appear from out of the bushes...
